On a bike? No thanks. I can't imagine what it's like to try get enough oxygen to be able to pedal at the altitude that appears to be taken at. Where is that? Are there gemstones in that area?

Actually - isn't that water at the bottom of the pic? If so it's only the mist that makes it look high anyway. The mountains are always really scary driving at night because all you can see is there is nothing beside the road but air - how far, you can't tell and your imagination can make it a very long drop off, LOL.

The Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland. I think it's mostly sandstone and shale so probably not good gemstone territory (correct me if I'm wrong though, and I'll be off with my pick and hammer ).

Nay, it's their height that makes them look high. IIRC, they rise to about 700 feet.

At least they're wearing helmets though.

Seven hundred is high enough to send a shiver through your spine alright - but not as bad that the bikers are gasping for air or risking altitude sickness (which wouldn't do good for balancing a bike, LOL).

Sandstone, shale - not great for gemstones, but excellent for fossils. That is, of course unless some of that shale is graphite (diamonds) but I'm sure there'd be mines already established if that were the case. Lot of time passed for those to become known.

Pretty country at any rate, Tommy. I'm betting a lot of the mountain bikers over here would love that treck.

That's gorgeous country - would love to see it - from the bottom looking up at it.

At least they're wearing helmets though.
So after a fall the diagnosis would be "broke every bone except his skull"? If ever I saw a place where a helmet is wishful thinking - that's it.
