It's going to be an interesting year. Can Kyrie and Kevin Love stay healthy. For that matter, can Rose, Durant, Westbrook, Kobe, Wade, etc... play a whole season? Will the Spurs really improve or will father time finally catch up with them? Can my Warriors repeat and prove the naysayers wrong?

I can't wait for the season to start because the 49ers are bad and the Giants won't make the mlb playoffs.

Yeah, it is a much anticipated year. More so than any I can remember for any other season. Of course I say that every year

Harden still bitching and moaning about not being last year's MVP.

The guy should move on. Maybe in some convoluted way he is doing this to elevate his game and give him motivation.

        Who knows.

He wasn't far behind Curry last year but still have to say Curry deserved it

That's ridiculous. Harden looks bad saying that crap. He says he is going to be better this year. He is going to have to if he wants to beat the Dubs or the Spurs who are clearly the two best teams in the league now. The Warriors are only going to be better this year and the Spurs should be right there with them. Harden should be thinking about the team, not individual awards.

Another guy with sour grapes and not willing still to give the Warriors credit is Doc Rivers. That's ok, this stuff will only motivate the Warriors to prove last year wasn't "luck" or a fluke. By the way, we beat the Clippers 3 out 4 during the regular season.

"You need luck in the West," Rivers recently told Zach Lowe of Grantland.com. "Look at Golden State. They didn't have to play us or the Spurs. But that's also a lesson for us: When you have a chance to close, you have to do it."

That's a crazy story. I used to go to a sports bar once in a while in Oakland. It was owned by the father of Gloria Govan, Barnes' ex-wife. She's from Oakland, is a beauty and um.. looks good from the side in this photo:

Klay Thompson responds to Doc Rivers dumb comments:

"If we got lucky, look at our record against them last year. I'm pretty sure we smacked them."

"Didn't they lose to the Rockets? Exactly. So haha. That just makes me laugh. That's funny. Weren't they up 3-1 too?"

"I wanted to play the Clippers last year, but they couldn't handle their business"

Even Andrew Bogut got in on the fun: "I've got my ring fitted for my middle finger"

I hear Lamar Odom had two emergency surgeries yesterday, after improving for a few days.

Back to BB and the upcoming season. My Warriors have had a fairly unimpressive preseason, looking lethargic, not in sync and uninspired. I was a bit worried but after last night's game I think all is well. They looked very sharp.

By the way Robert, I'm talking to this sexy lady who lives in San Antonio who is a big Spurs fan. We're talking about meeting there for a Spurs/Warriors game and having a bet on the game, (:p) tour the city and spend the weekend together. If you want to have a drink while I am there let me know. I've never been to SA by the way.

this was a real bummer and a shocker. I remember feeling relieved when the doctors said it was treatable and curable. Technically they will say its the cancer but in reality it was the chemo he took that did him in - lowered his immune system, he got pneumonia and died.

Cool Tim. Contrary to what Charles Barkley says about SA women, there are some pretty hot ones here, particularly some hot senoritas ( And I was fortunate enough to marry one )

Give me a PM or something. I know in November I will be gone to Knoxville for a couple of weeks for some family business.

I think my Nuggets will be slightly improved this year, mostly because Galinari should be healty. He really came on strong at the end of last season after missing almost two years with a knee injury.

Plus Brian Shaw is gone and there was some real problems in the locker room last season between him and the team. Having Shaw gone should is another reason we should be a little better.

Mudiay should be a great addition, but expecting him to be better as a rookie than Ty Lawson was, is asking a little too much. There's also a couple of young Europeans that have looked pretty good in preseason.

We've been really banged up in preseason, which has hurt our performance as of late, but nothing serious and should get healthy soon.

I doubt we'll make the playoffs, but shouldn't be an easy win for other teams. There's really not much hope, but we do have 4 first round draft picks in next year's draft. Plus we have the option to swap picks with the Knicks. I'll be rooting really hard against the Knicks all year long.

Hopefully, we can get a high pick from the Knicks and maybe use the other 3 picks to package and trade up to grab another franchise type player to go with Mudiay.

Break up the Nuggets! Good win...beating Houston by 20 in Houston. I think it's important for this team to get some wins early to build confidence.

Mudiay looked good, except for 11 turnovers. He's had issues with TOs in the preseason. But other than that, he looked good and actually outplayed Ty Lawson IMO.

Good win for you guys. Looking at the box score your defense was impressive. Malone had a big part to do with the Warriors defense improving so much under Mark Jackson. If he can do the same with the Nuggets they will be tough.

Mudiays turnovers are a concern but we went through the same thing with Curry until last year. Lebron, Westbrook, Curry, Harden .... all have high turnover numbers. It's just a matter of managing it better.

I just love seeing Houston lose though, so yay Nuggets!

Well, at least you can enjoy both. Lol

By the way, that Spurs Thunder game was terrific! Only the 2nd time Tim Duncan has lost an opening season game in 20 years. And it was interesting to see the Cavs easily beat Memphis in Memphis after losing the night before in Chicago.

At least I can enjoy the Nuggets season for a game. Don't forget the 49ers looked pretty good their first game too.

Wow, Nuggets have a great win. Looks like Harden is not living up to his self proclaimed MVP going 6-21 from the field LOL

Yeah, I thought the Spurs were going to take this one in the 4th but they couldn't hang on.

Even though it was a lost, they looked miles ahead where I thought they would be the first game.

I saw some promising basketball with Aldridge, West, and how they integrated with the team and the flow they are starting to show as a team

I will tell you what it will be interesting as the Season goes to see if these guys can keep improving the flow and chemistry.

If they do, it will be Warriors and Spurs in Conference Finals.

But who knows maybe Nuggets can do something special as well

I'm looking forward to the Warriors/Rockets game tonight in Houston. It will be interesting to see how Curry and Harden play after the MVP remarks a few weeks back.

By the way, Coach Gentry told Anthony Davis to shoot more threes this year and in the last game he went 3 for 5 in threes. Apparently he isn't the only big who will be shooting more threes, in the last Kings game Demarkus Cousins went 4 for 5 on threes! Hell, even Ricky Rubio made a few threes the last game while scoring 28 points. Weird stuff going on.

Lol. Bad shooting night for the Nuggets.

Houston, we have a problem. The Rockets are playing terrible. The warriors just totally out played them and shut them down with their defense. Two straight blowout losses at home and honestly, the Warriors didn't play great on offense. It could have been much much worse.

The Rockets problem? I think it's the Kardashian effect. Harden is dating a Kardashian and that is the kiss of death for an NBA player. ( no pun intended )

Steph Curry gets 53 in win over Pelicans. And believe it or not the Pelicans were playing good D. I thought Curry was being more aggressive in preseason. I was thinking he could score at will and with the new aggressiveness he could increase his scoring average significantly. I see him averaging around 30 or more this year.

Not sure about 80 but reaching the Bulls 72 wins looks possible. Let's see how they do against your Spurs though. So far it looks like Curry, Green, Ezeli have improved noticeably while the rest are as good as last year or slightly better. Well, Klay is off to a slow start.

Don't get cocky. The only reason you won by 50 is because you didn't play my Nuggets. When you do play us, you'll probably win by 75.

Some surprises so far this season.

In the East the Knicks look pretty decent and their #1 pick Porzingis looks like he is going to be a very good player and help the Knicks right away. Detroit looks very improved. The Hawks are still playing very well after many expected them to fall off from last years 60 plus win season. The Heat are playing excellent also, which maybe isn't a surprise.

In the West, the Jazz and the Timberwolves look like they can make the playoffs this year. The Pelicans, who I thought would be a top team, have had major problems getting going caused by injuries and sub par play by Davis. The Grizzlies are struggling and may not make the playoffs.

Maybe not this year, but the team that looks stacked for the future is the TWolves. Towns, Wiggins and LeVine are scary talented. Barring injuries, I think in a couple of years they'll be in the hunt for championships.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing them tonight when the Warriors visit them. The Warriors will be going after a 10-0 start and are playing tough defense but will be in the 2nd game of a back to back. Hopefully Wiggins and Rubio will play tonight.

Here's an interesting breakdown of how the Warriors are taking advantage of teams double teaming Curry and creating half court 4 on 3 opportunities, in most cases it's Green who is the guy getting assists from these situations. Green leads the Warriors in assists currently, while Curry leads the league in what is called the hockey assist, the secondary assists.

Well, the Warriors almost lost to the Nets at home, so they could lose to anyone really. They just looked terrible for much of the game. It's funny, when Curry has a bad quarter or half I feel he's doing it on purpose. Lol. Just to test his teammates or make the game more interesting.

Yep you guys are fortunate to pull that one out. You would have had to go 71-0 to meet my predictions if it didnt go your way last night

Dubs squeak out another win against a very good Toronto team. The perfect season continues. Next up the Clippers and then the Bulls. Curry, looking off a good portion of the game, scores 37.

I don't think coaching is the problem. Howard is inconsistent and Harden messed the team up by dating a Kardashian. Lol. Harden is not having as good a year as last year and frankly, I don't like his game. They don't have a lot of depth and the good players they have are under performing.

Houston's interim coach, JB Bickerstaff went to the same high school in Denver I did. He's Bernie's son, who was coaching the Nuggets a the time.

Yeah, I remember Bernie. He coached quite a while. I think his best teams were with Seattle.

The way the Pelicans are going Alvin Gentry might be next, although they have had a bunch of injuries.

We whipped up on the Pels last night. The Brow left the game early with a shoulder injury and didn't return.

What a game tonight. Warriors start out slow, Curry and Green get two fouls in the opening minutes and have to sit, the Clippers are blazing hot and take a 23 point lead early in the 2nd. But the Warriors chip away and finish strong to rip the hearts out of the Clippers! Lol. Curry, plays bad a good portion of the game and still scores 40. Crazy year so far.

Spurs looked terrible. But give credit to Pelicans. They are better than a 1-10 team. Their dribble penetration was unstoppable last night. Davis is back and this team will make the Playoffs, I predict.
It might be hard to recover terrible start but I think they will.

Warriors squeak by. Strong finish, I caught the end of it. Curry usual self and comes thru in pressure

Major drama tomorrow night. Let's set the Stage
... Warriors will be going to tie the record at 15-0.
But Kurt's Nuggets are in the way and its a home game for them. Although they slipped last night, the Nuggets seem to be a legit team this year.

This will be a fun game

I'm sure Tim and Kurt will be getting nervous leading up to game time. Me ?? I'm glad I can just sit back and enjoy it with a nice cold beer

It's going to be tough for the Pelicans to make the playoffs now. There's so many good teams to pass in the West. Heck, even Sacramento is playing well now with Rondo and Cousins playing great ball. I thought the Pelicans would be in the top 4 in the west but the injuries have hurt them. Plus having a new coach sometimes takes time to adjust.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing tomorrow'sgame against the Nuggets. I don't expect an easy game that's for sure, especially after the last 4.

Speaking of new coaches, I really like how Holberg has Chicago playing. The offense looks much better and their defense is still very tough.

It look like Warriors are still on pace to 81-1 as well as beating the record and hitting 16-0

I can't see Lakers pulling it out in Oakland. No way.

Yeah, Lebron's hating all the talk about the Warriors and Curry. There are many well respected people saying Curry is the best player now. Period. Plus, people are comparing the Warriors to all time great teams such as the 94 Bulls. Pat Riley said they could be Dynastic and compared Curry and Thompson to his old teammates from the 72 Lakers who won 33 in a row, Jerry West and Gail Goodrich.

Interesting interview on espn.Com where Steve Kerr talks about who would win in a hypothetical metting between the 94 Bulls team that he played on and this warrior team that he coaches.

He imagines it would end with Curry taking a step back three over Michael Jordan.

Well, the Dubs have a few steaks going: the 16 game win streak to start a season and a 20 game regular season win streak. Three more wins and they will have the third longest winning streak behind only the Heat at 27 and the 72 Lakers at 33. There's a good chance it will end soon because they play 8 of the next 9 on the road. However, if they can make it past the road trip without losing they have a good chance to reach 32. If they get to that point they will be playing the Cavs on Xmas day to tie the 33 win record.

Doesn't look good for Okafor but I only saw him push one guy to the ground with several other guys coming at him, one looked to be close to his size.

      The poor sixer fans!

BTW, Draymond Green flew out to Michigan on Thanksgiving so he could see his Alma Mater Michigan State play and especially to see his ex coach Tom Izzo get his 500th win. Green gave Izzo a Rolex watch after the win and reportedly Izzo was very moved by the gesture. This summer Green also donated $3.1 million to the MU athletic department. Green played a full four years at MU and has repeatedly said how grateful he is to Izzo and the school. Classy guy, even though he can be mouthy at times! lol

Great game tonight, Dubs win in OT over a tough determined Denver team. Curry doesn’t play in 2nd half but they get some great play from Draymond Green, who got his second triple double in a row and an nba leading 6th of the season.

Mitch Kupchak the ball is in your court.
How about after the season, the Lakers hire Luke Walton as head coach and get Jerry West as Kupchak's right hand man, in charge of the draft?

Not only would this help strengthen the Lakers, it would weaken the Ws at the same time. Plus, they're both Lakers.

IMO, Jerry West has proven he's the best judge of talent in NBA history. He's done it time and time again.

        Booo. Hisss. Lol

        RADIO SHOW HOST:

Would you ever consider going back to the Lakers if you were asked?

        JERRY WEST:

Well, you know, first of all, I wouldn't be asked to go back there, OK. That would not happen.

        RADIO SHOW HOST:

        Why not?

        JERRY WEST:

Well, it just wouldn't happen. Trust me. I think I'm really content up there with the Warriors. I love the people there. It's fun to be around.
I can see Walton being the Lakers coach though. Walton will be a great choice too!

Okay, I was not gonna say a damn thing Tim until you mentioned this above. I was gonna keep my big mouth shut. LOL

But to be honest I have never thought much of Walton. He cannot hold a flame to Kerr or Jackson imo.

Why in God's name they made him interim coach for Warriors I will never know ??

The Warriors have won 19 in a row because they are a damn good team.

I don't think any of that can be attributed to Walton.

Walton has been given gifts, not based on results, but based on his name.

First it was a $30 million dollar contract with Lakers for his mediocre play years ago

And now UNBELIEVABLY he was given the reigns to one of the best teams in history

Sorry Tim to me that was unbelievable.

Like I said I was to remain silent about it until you mentioned this above

I hate to rub it in but I must say it is refreshing to see someone have the limelight besides Lebron who for the last dozen or so years we have incessantly been bombarded with "the Chose One" or "King James" wherever we look.

He will never be totally irrelevant but he is becoming less and less relevant with every game he plays and every game the Warriors play and Curry plays.

Honestly, with the advent of Curry's play I think "King James" is miffed and beside himself.

Not being the center of the universe is something totally new for him. And this kills him ! He better get good at acting in hollywood lol

Curry is doing something that James and really no one has done before.

I'm loving it UNTIL we play Curry lol

                    I agree.

The Cavs got beat last night by the Pelicans. I looked at the upcoming schedule for the Cavs and I expect them to get several more loses in December. They just aren't that deep and James is putting in way too many minutes already this season and he already seems to be declining at just 30 years of age. Still a great player but not the same as he was. One thing that bugs me about him is he blames his team mates too much. You never hear Curry do something like that. If the Warriors lose he says "we" didn't play well or "we" must improve.

By the way, the Eastern Conference is looking much improved this year, even if the Cavs don't. Indiana is playing really well behind Paul George, Chicago is improved, Miami is better and there are 11 teams at .500 or better including a much improved Knicks team. In the West, the Warriors and the Spurs are the best by far but the Thunder, Grizzlies and Rockets have not played nearly as well and there are only 6 teams at .500 or above. The tide has finally turned it seems so far, although the two best teams are in the West.

                        Two quotes from that article:

LeBron when asked about taking over in 4Q: "Who else was going to do it?"
J.R. Smith laughed when told Blatt thinks LeBron needs more help. "I mean, I had 15 in the first. I don't know what else you want me to do"

Great game last night against the Raptors. Close the whole way and Lowry had a career high. Curry, whose dad played his last three years in Toronto, is familiar with the arena and always has good games there. He had 44 last night including something new I haven't seen from him before. He's running down court and comes to skidding stop kind of like the road runner cartoons and drains a three. I'll have to find a video of that shot. How do you guard that? lol

Here's Curry and his brother shooting in the Toronto arena when he was a kid:

Here's that shot I mentioned. In another angle at slow motion you can see his foot skidding to a stop. Here's full speed:

It doesn't bother me at all. I was surprised they had him be the interim coach also, but Gentry is gone and Ron Adams probably wasn't interested. Adams is a great defensive coach but hasn't been a head coach in over 25 years. Walton has impressed me though as the interim coach. Granted he has the Champs who don't need much guidance or motivation, but he has done well in keeping things moving, he understands the game and has a great demeanor to be an NBA coach. Kerr, is still very much involved though. I have a feeling Kerr would be back already but doesn't want to come back during the winning streak.

So Curry had 12 at half time tonight. He wasn't really looking for his shot much but was very efficient shooting at 4 for 6 I think. In the third quarter he continued in the same way but started driving more when the lane was open. Suddenly he put together a scoring streak for the team. 8 points in a row. 14 in a row. 18 in a row. He ended up scoring 24 points in row for the Warriors and getting 28 in the quarter seemingly effortlessly, putting the game out of reach. He sat the 4th quarter. 40 points in 31 minutes. 14 for 18 shooting! 8 for 11 in 3 points!

I am no lebron Hater but I have never been that impressed with his game as a spectator. I give that he was the best for many years but he relied more on bulling his way to the basket rather than artistry. its not all about the stats. Mj's drives to the basket were a thing of beauty and dance. Kobe as well (though to me not quite to the level of MJ), Magic made you think he really had eyes in the back of his head. Curry shows some of that in his passing that makes you go - "rewind - how did he do that?".

This is probably why Lebron will fade so fast - skill can be maintained longer than physicality

Still curry has to show that level of play on the big stage before he gets the mantle. They won last year but i was really surprised by how ordinary Curry looked several times in the finals. probably just first time jitters but we will see.

Someone did object to my not taking the idea too nicely that you can sling and slam dunk (keeping it basketball related ) teenagers in a class room over them trying to keep their phones but besides that yep been busy. I think the whole team was a bit nervous and off their game in the first three games except for Iggy. That move by Kerr to start Iguodala in game 4 kind of forced them to play their game and the series was over after that.

Last year Curry would have a bad game here and there. This year he's stepped it up to another level. I don't think he's had one bad game really. There have been some games where he simply let's the other players take the shots more than normal but he's been very consistent this year besides being amazing. There's talk about him getting the MVP and most improved player, which has never been done before.

It didn't feel good from the start. They looked tired.

If the Warriors had won tonight they would have been the 1st team to have swept a 7 game road series, in nba history!

There's a reason why winning on the road is so difficult.

Surely the Spurs will play the Warriors in the conference finals. Anything less would be a huge letdown. I guess injuries might derail this dream match-up, but it would be interesting to see if Pop can figure out how to slow the Warriors.

You can pretty much bet Pop will rest some of his starters in the regular season games.

      Two explanations for that video
      1. Somehow video is altered and is fake
      2. The Chines Gov't is mad ( what's new) and they are selecting a group of children and making them practice this 12 hours a day everyday with whips and chains.

Kids at this age ,with boys and girls, simply do not pick up something like this in a normal manner and start handling a ball in this fashion.( especially two balls sitting down) Their brains are not advanced enough at this stage to do this in a typical environment

BTW, Dwight was in the news today crying about him not being the first option in the Offense instead of Harden.

Houston lost last night again to the Kings who didn't have Rondo. Cousins completely out played Howard who had only 4 points and 4 rebounds.

Another disappointing team this year so far are the Clippers. They will be lucky to get 50 wins the way they are going. With arguably three of the top 20, maybe even 15, players in the league they just aren't getting it done and are under performing. I just don't think Doc Rivers is a very good coach or GM, but the Clippers seem committed to him. They play the Spurs at San Antonio Friday. I don't see that being a close game the way both teams are playing. lol.

Tomorrow night the Thunder will visit the Cavs. Now that game should be a good one!

By the way, the Bucks, who stopped the Warriors win streak, were caught in an LA strip club in the early morning hours on the day they played the Lakers and lost by 18! Good grief.

So...if the Bucks beat the Ws, and the Lakers beat the Bucks, does this mean the Lakers are better than the Ws?

Nope. The Bucks ended the Dubs' win streak and also ended the Lakers' losing streak. They are the league's Streak Busters.

Yep, 2-1 is disappointing. lol Hopefully they can get their act together soon.

I'm looking forward to this one, after hearing for months how Cleveland would have beaten the Warriors if they were at full strength. So now, all the pressure is on them to show what they can do. Should be a good game but since the Warriors are playing at home I expect them to win it.

The big game though will be on January 25th when the Dubs play the Spurs.

congrats but I really thought the way Cleveland was playing it was't going to be that close.

This was my first long look at Golden Sate this year. Obviously a great team with the win record but I'd be a little concerned. Historically too many teams relying so much on the deep ball have had stretches in the playoffs where they didn't fall and got bumped out.

Thanks. The Warriors have stepped up the D the past two games after kind of underperforming on that side of the ball for a few weeks. Their offense has been off the past two games also and the high rate of turnovers continue, but they still find a way to win. That was a grind it out kind of game. There were a few games like that yesterday including the Spurs/Rockets game. That was the best defense I have seen the Rockets play this year.

Barkley said something like that last year. The thing is their defense is as good as any team in the league, they are one of the top teams in scoring in the paint, they lead the league in assists, are getting better at drawing fouls and are a smart team. So when their out side shots are not going in, like against the Cavs, they still can win games.

I hear you but I don't think winning a ring disproves it. In fact I think what he said started to come to pass why Curry looked so ordinary. one of the best decisions i have ever seen in finals history corrected that. So you got to put coaching as a plus for them too

Still I admit I didn't know that about points in the paint. You wouldn't think that watching them but like I said I haven't watched them all that often this season

Since he could not dominate the game, given his team, Kobe just took over the media and fan game this season by announcing his retirement.

Like seriously, no one realised but media is now covering his every move and every game like a finals game 7. The man always knew how NBA runs around the fans. Now he'll start the all-star game!

As good as Draymond Green was last year, he is much better this year. Jerry West says he is a top ten player in the league and I have to agree. He is leading the league in triple doubles and just might win defensive player of the year this year. He has greatly improved in his ball handling and is 6th in the league in assists. Plus, he just may have the highest basketball IQ in the league. Right now, he is third in the allstar balloting among Western Conference front court players, so he may be a starter in that game. Is he better than Blake Griffin and Anthony Davis? Yes, imo.

He got better at the outside shot later in his career. Was never great but made over 100 3s in a season 4 times with his high being 147. Here's what one of the ESPN writers said about him: "Drexler averaged more rebounds, assists, steals and blocks than Kobe Bryant for his career, while also shooting a higher percentage from the floor. And Drexler never missed the postseason during his 15-year career."

Spurs have a big one tonight. Lebronze comes into town.
The great thing about this game is that one of the teams will lose. lol. Heck, I probably will even be rooting for the Cavs which I rarely do when Lebron is on the team. Go Cavs. Would love to see them stop the Spurs win streaks.

Warriors tv announcer, and former warrior, Jim Barnett said before the game: "Nobody, and I mean nobody, in the nba plays harder than the Nuggets " Then he said it again. He tied it to coach Malone and he's probably a big reason.

With the Warriors losing to the Nuggets some power rankings lists will have the Spurs at #1. Plus, the Spurs may become the favorites odds wise to win the Championship. And with the home winning streak and historic point differential, they aren't under the radar anymore.

Also: The Nuggets beat the Warriors. Warriors beat the Pelicans. Pelicans beat the Spurs. Nuggets are the #1 team now.

LOL. Funny, Robert. Ok, you know the best way to be under the radar? Lose some games! That will do it.

By the way, I'm hoping Draymond doesn't play tonight either. It's a good test to see if the Warriors can play a better game without him than they did last night. Kind of like when Curry was out two games. The first game Dallas blew them out. The next game they changed how they played and had perhaps their best win of the season and it was without Curry. Of course, this is something Pops has been doing for years, making his teams play without their stars.

Interesting note about tonight's game between the Spurs and Cavs: Teams on winning streaks of at least eight games will meet for only the ninth time in NBA history.

Agreed. Charles had a line before this same game where he was talking about the Lakers having no chance against the Warriors: "The Lakers have as much chance winning as the black girl getting picked on the Bachelor ". Whats really funny and ironic and maybe I am being mean towards the City of Cleveland...but 1.5 year half ago when Lebronze announced his homecoming the city of Cleveland was celebrating the Messiah coming home and already talking about how the Chosen one was going to bring multiple championships.

Honestly, with Curry and Thompson not slowing down in the next 5 years and Leonard and Aldridge teaming up to be a force in the next 5 years as well....I really do not see King James bringing home even 1 Championship to the city of Cleveland. Also Durant and Westwood are still relatively young and will be a factor as well.

If anyone has argued there has not been a changing of the guard from Lebron being the best on Planet to Curry...well last night really solidified it in my opinion. It was a drubbing by GS and indeed signified the changing of that guard

Well, I guess the Warriors spanked the Cavs so hard they decided to fire the coach! David Blatt gone and replaced by Tyronn Lue, who has zero coaching experience. I was never impressed with Blatt as a NBA head coach. The Cavs offense, which was supposed to be Blatt's strong point, looked terrible. Too many ISOs and very little creativety. How much of that was him and how much was Lebron, who likes to control everything it seems, we will see.

How much of that was him and how much was Lebron, who likes to control everything it seems, we will see.

Also, good news, Steve Kerr will finally be back on the bench tonight! About time Steve. The Dubs have been really struggling without you! lol
Lue has way more coaching experience than Luke Walton and has done his time as an assistant around the league.

I think Walton proved that when you have great players and/or a great team already in place, coaching isn't all that important - at least during the regular season. I'm willing to bet that the Cavs will still come out of the east again and get dropped by your Warriors again - but if they're healthy - it will go seven.

Well, having seen the difference in the Warriors under Jackson and then under Kerr, I can tell you coaching made a huge difference. Under Jackson, the Warriors' offense was stagnate, unimaginative, boring and counterproductive. Us fans knew it too. All though we were happy about the improvement the Warriors made under Jackson we could see the offensive scheme wasn't working well and was holding the Dubs back. The SB Nation page for the Warriors, GoldenStateofMind, has game threads that are live during the games. The complaints about constant ISOs was hilarious and frustrating to the fans. During Jackson's last season, the Warriors were last in the league in passes per game and not even close to the top in assists per game. One year later, they completely turned it around and are now leading the league in assists.

Jackson was also not willing to let the management hire the assistant coaches they wanted and was very stubborn in other ways as well. Kerr is just the opposite. I still see people saying the Warriors would have won a Championship if Jackson had stayed. That's not true imo. At least not for a few years anyways. Just as an example, Jackson would have never made that switch in game 4 of the finals where he started Iguodala.

Walton was just an extension of Kerr this season. He wasn't doing anything different and that was understood by all in the Warriors organization. Kerr was always in the background and for the past several weeks was with the team on the road trips. I do like the job Walton did though and am impressed with his intelligence, demeanor, honesty and ability to get along with people. Will he make a good head coach some day? I think so, but it depends on the situation. If I was him I wouldn't be in a hurry to leave the Warriors. Stick around and enjoy the next few years.

Exactly, after a team is into its settled, winning groove, a step in coach like Walton doesn't have to do things any different and the team will still be quite formidable.

Once again, Cleveland will still come out of the east but they will once again run into Golden State who is the true beast.

I'm not too sure about the Cavs making it to the finals this year. I wouldn't say anyone else in the east should be the favorite but I would like to see the odds of them not winning. That may be a good bet at this time. They are very beatable, and there are a few teams in the east capable of winning a playoff series against them including the Bulls.

I know it's only one game, but to me, Lue didn't look or sound confident or comfortable in his first game. If I was a Cavs fan I would be very worried.

No coach except a top tier well respected one can coach the Cavs without Lebron over ruling him. I would not put it past him to have demanded the guy get canned after the humiliation with GS. He had some issues with Spoeltra in Miami as well but Wade basically said - um nope - Spoeltra is my guy chillout and let him coach.

Blatt was treated badly from the start and Lebron was the main reason. I wouldn't want to coach him. Can you imagine pops being his coach? Would he listen?

By the way, Lue made a totally tone deaf comment about how it would be "sweet" if Blatt could coach the all star team. Really?! Good grief! That tells me a lot about his ability to talk to the media. Just a bone headed statement!

Well, tip off is in 2 hours. The way the Warriors have played the last week I don't see how the Spurs beat them, especially at Oracle.

If Spurs could win it might be a few points. If the Warriors win it could be by a few points or they could blow out the Spurs and win by 30+ points. If Curry gets going , that's it. Game over as everything gets opened up for them!

If the Warriors and Spurs meet in the western conference finals they could possibly play 11 times this year if the finals go seven. This is an important game but whoever losses still has a great chance. By the way, usually the Warriors and Spurs only meet three times during the season. Interesting that they have 4 this year and they all are after the midway point of the season.

By the way, I'm kind of excited to see our rookie, Kevon Looney, who was just brought up from the d league after recovering from an off season hip surgery. The guy fits into the Warriors system really well from what I have seen and heard.

Pops just said on the pregame show that he has butterflies! Wow. That's surprised me. Now I'm getting nervous. Lol

Yep. Warriors handed the Spurs their heads tonight. What a massacre, But if Duncan was playing it would have been a different story j/k

Tim, Iam going to step out on a limb and say that IF and that is a big IF Curry can have a healthy career he and the Warriors could go for Russel's record. Really.

Sean Elliot who does Spurs broadcast said that Curry makes it look so easy, even more easier than Jordan ever did. And said its not even close. Thats exactly what he said tonight!

I think this Team when all of them are playing is better than the Bulls with Jordan and better than the Lakers with Magic and Kareem.

I believe it wouldn't even be a game against either of those two teams.

The Lakers better be scared as well as the Celtic because in the next decade they have a chance of losing the title of the two best dynasties.

After tonight I am convinced this could be a real possibility. And this would be a seismic change in the NBA history and its landscape.

I think there is a chance we may see that. The key will be to take care of Curry. Taking him out of the 3rd otr. like they did tonight is a good start. Sit him out a few games here and there in the next few years. Let Thompson take the reins. I'm sure Kerr will take a lesson from Pop and probably do this as Curry gets a little older. Save those joints and he will be good to go

Interesting enough up until tonight the Spurs were the only team the Warriors had not proven themselves to in the Curry-Thompson era. Last year ( 2-1 regular season) and the year before that with 2014 the Spurs had their number. And goodness gracious we do not want to talk about the 2013 playoffs when Warriors had a chance to go 2-0 at SA. And were up by 17 pts with 3 minutes to go at SA and blew it

Anyway, all that is erased now . The Warriors have everyone's number now

The Warrior's defense picks up when needed. Then there's the offense: Curry, and Green, Thompson, Barnes, and Iguodala, Livingston and Barbosa, Bogut and Ezeli, ... it's like the Spurs offense on steroids.

Look buddy, you're getting way ahead of yourself.

            You said this above...

The Lakers better be scared as well as the Celtic because in the next decade they have a chance of losing the title of the two best dynasties.

            I say...

Was that an attempt to provoke me??

In order for the Warriors to catch the Lakers at 16 Titles they would have to go on a run like the Celts did in the 1960s of 11 titles in 13 years or so & more - and that ain't gonna happen.

Same goes for your Spurs because Pop won't be coaching forever.

            Now...

Regarding your wild prognostications on whether the Warriors could beat the Bulls or the Lakers it's too bad they will never get it on.

            But...

I can see my Showtime Lakers running the Warriors off the court in a bunch of wild up and down shootouts.

            BTW...

The size of Michael Cooper or Jordan would contain Mr. Curry.

The showtime Lakers against the Warriors would be interesting. Who would cover Magic? Draymond? Iggy? Who would cover Kareem? I guess Bogut but nobody could stop that sky hook really. Tough covers, but on the other side I don't think those Lakers could stop Curry or Thompson. It would be an interesting matchup for sure.

Not at all. I just saw a damn good helluva a team get pulverized last night.
Iam trying to keep things in perspective in that the shots that are going in for this cat Curry is nothing like anyone has ever seen before.

              It's no contest.

Iam stating that if this Team stays exactly like they have for the past week and carry that for the next decade they will be the best dynasty ever.

That being said there are so many variables as far as players leaving ,health issues . management etc..etc.. make this very up in the air.

But Iam just stating a scenario of what I have observed and the Stats that back it up.. And quite honestly TL I have never seen any other team including the Celtics or Lakers at this level ever. And that include my mighty Spurs.

              There is just no contest.
Iam the type of guy who is extremely competitive but I give credit where credit is due.

And sorry, believing Cooper could handle Curry is pure emotion on your part. You are letting your emotions and your biased attitudes get in the way of fact

Yes Tim, Me and Kurt said you were drunk.

Matter of fact I was thinking about that yesterday and was actually going to add that in my Post last night after the game lol

All this being said ( with my accolades ) ,I am still circling that game in March at SA. I think we can take it. Actually both home games but it might be hard to overcome the regular season records which should give homecourt advantage to Warriors throughout playoffs.

That will be tough to overcome but it will be exciting.

Meh....Going to have to go with TL on this. You ARE getting ahead of yourself. Show me ring number two first and even then you are kind of dissing the Lakers and REALLY dissing James Worthy calling The lakers "Magic and Kareem"

Showtime Lakers were a VERY well rounded team. I might see your point on the Bulls because well the bulls always tended toward being more a one man team but the lakers were certainly not. Show time lakers would give GS some fits on defense and that tends to wear down the offensive end as well.

Sorry but its too soon to be making those projections. I think you are suffering also from your Fandom of San Antonio. kinda - "well they destroyed my great team so they could be the best of all time"

Um maybe theres just more suckiness in Spur land than you saw previously.

Hey like I said before those bombers were sweet but if you are hanging your argument on those shots - forget it. Thats not going to last through the years needed to claim a dynasty better than Boston or LA. YOU got to be in your prime to get the lift on those and do so with precision. Where I think Curry has more staying power than Lebron is his savvy and ball handling. Thats skill and it last longer than physicality I don't expect those shots to be there with him as he ages but even then his savvy will still win games..

Just throwing it out out there MA. It does make it more exciting.

But I just know for a fact those Spurs may not win against Worthy or Bird or Jordan's teams but they would make it a game and be able to play with them .

Last night from the tip off it wasn't even a game. Not even close

So just to connecting the dots here by mere deduction

But I just know for a fact those Spurs may not win against Worthy or Bird or Jordan's teams but they would make it a game and be able to play with them .
Sorry Robert. You know no such fact. you just THINK you do. You need to go look at some tape. Spurs have been good but they never played in the same stratosphere as the prime showtime lakers. I am pretty confident they would blow out your spurs at least once as well.

Your also making Waaaaaaay to much of a regular season game. Playoffs baby

Not playoffs...we talking regular season, regular season. we talking regular season. I mean if this was the playoffs but we are talking about regular season....lol....might as well be talking bout practice.

You wanta talk about playoffs, big boy.?You want to talk abut playing in a stratosphere?? Okay we can go there

Do me a favor and go back and look at Spurs versus Heat 2014 Finals. "Oh yea forgot about that one , Rob" as MA scratches his head and walks away with his tail between his legs lol . Go to Youtube , And don't just beat around the bush and say you did. Really do it. Go to YT just watch short snippets of each game of those Finals and you'll see one of the most most dominating, stratospheric teams in any given time period in NBA history.

(And I will know whether you did go to YT the way you reply in your next response)

My point being you are far more delusional than I thought if you think that any Lakers team would blowout the 2014 Spurs versus Heat in Finals. During that 5 game stretch. Pure insanity

Like you said let's talk about Playoffs, baby !! lol

Not saying the Spurs were better they probably were NOT and not saying they would win. The Lakers are head and shoulders above the Spurs organization ,no question.

But like I said if you dare even slightly infer, even the slightest bit that the Lakers ( any Lakers team for that matter ) would blowout those 2014 Spurs Finals Team for Games 1,2,3,4,5 you seriously need to
                      be committed , my friend.

ROFL.....As I have said many times this board seriously needs a laughing and rolling on the floor smilie. I could use about five of them now. lol...somebody's getting heated and talking smack to the king of smack. Okay I can hang...... lets do this.....

What are you like ten years old? 2014??? With a less than prime Wade. What are you smoking . You think Kareem, Magic, Worthy et all on a good night couldn't take out Ginobli Parker and Duncan in 2014??? I'd say you are crazy but you are not. Why?

Cause Crazy don't come in that foolish a flavor.

So the more likely scenario is that you have invented a new drug and your presently in product testing mode. Good luck looks like it can give you a high strong enough to short out all the circuits. Only questions is will the circuits ever work again after the high - cause in the present test subject (yourself) no sense or sensibility has returned

Spare me mister come to the NBA lately. The reason I sent you to tape was because showtime lakers is obviously before you momma made you watch TV. The truth is that a prime Magic worthy, Hakeem and to a lesser degree AC and cooper would quite likely have SWEPT the heat and heres the kicker

This is coming form a HEAT fan!

                        oh the pain.

and whats more - that probably would have been their repeat because they would have won the year before where ahem a certain texas team came up short against the same heat. oops

But like I said if you dare even slightly infer, even the slightest bit that the Lakers ( any, any Lakers team for that matter) would blowout those 2014 Spurs Finals Team for Games 1,2,3,4,5 you seriously need to be committed , my friend.
I can infer anything I like to an NBA neophyte that knows no history of the game. the point isn't how well the spurs took care of the Heat its how much better than the spurs the showtime Lakers were. Apples and Oranges - You make no sensible point. Meanwhile will the spurs in 2014 be referred to in the history of the NBA as "showtime" or any other such moniker to distinguish the team from other NBA champions? Unlikely

Because the Spurs couldn't even repeat
because they never played on the level of the Lakers for any length of time
and now because they can't even put up a good fight against another top tier without getting rapped on the head and bombed from the half court line because the opponent was so at ease playing them said - "shucks lets just play a game of horse and can you hit that shot? in the middle of this game to keep us from falling asleep"

Something they could never have the time to do with the Showtime lakers. So go watch some tape NBA rookie. Right now the history of the game is so far over your head it might as well be a sky hook that would float over tim's head and into the basket 9 out of ten times. Go pump up your Jordan's cause your arguments got no lift

So now we know why you are trying to prematurely float GS as the best of all time dynasty after one ring - cause your delusional about your Spurs place in history...........waaaay like a dot in the rear view mirror behind the lakers. they walloped you like a high school team so they just have to be or your Spurs relatively sucks compared to the other teams that spanked them so far.

MA It seems your losing your edge ,son , in the thought cohesion department and just seem a little discombobulated about what is being said and what is not being said with my Spurs.

ROFL..........Oh please ....You got your head handed to you as knowing nothing about NBA history so thats the best you can do. Your "quote below" is meaningless. I was referring to the Showtime lakers team not the organization.

Take your recent whoppin like a man Robert

All this premature talk about best of all time dynasty is just trying to soften the blow that you got your heads handed to you. Four other teams beat GS. and 6 other teams whupped you so taking apart the Spurs is not that much of a big of a deal to hang dynasty of all time on. Its the spurs - not like one of the all time great teams of all times.

History and legacy have worked for them in attracting players but I tend to think that works against them at some point. If I am star player why do I want to go to a place where I merely share a legacy with Magic, Kobe, Shaq etc. Theres clippers in the same city and many great cities where my legacy will stand out better

Good point about sharing a legacy. That's probably one reason why Lebron went back to Cleveland I would guess. It's going to be a tough road for him to win another though. The East is looking better these days. Heck, even the Knicks are much improved.

"Theres clippers in the same city..."

The Clippers just seem to be snake bitten. Lol. What was Blake Griffen thinking when he punched the trainer two times? Unbelievable. I'm wondering if he is now possibly tradable after that bs and with the Clippers playing better without him. How about sending Griffen to Cleveland for Love? Could work for both teams.

Thar ya go. It wouldn't be the first time a team shallacked another one in the regular season thought it was going to be easy in the playoffs and found it a whole new deal. For the record yeah GS may yet turn out to be one of the greatest all time. I am just old school. I have to at least see a repeat or more than one ring before that discussion is legit.

I don't mean to be picking on Ty Lue. Maybe he will turn out to be a very good coach, but he makes some comments that are kind of off. Here's one yesterday regarding Kevin Love not making the all star game:

"I just thought, in this league it's always been about winning and winning has always been rewarded,"

Lol. Blatt was fired with highest winning percentage ever.

Damn, Cleveland easily beats the Spurs and looks like a different team. Lue is making a difference! It was a tough week for the Spurs.

My Warriors almost lost to the sixers and played one of their worst games of the rear. 2nd game of a back to back today against the Knicks in NY. I hope they play better.

The Knicks used to practice at my college when I was going there.

That is about the closest I've come to basketball.

                                          That's gotta count for something.

Are you kidding? Just tell him you saw a player once or watched them practice then say these exact words -

"I loved how they executed the pick and roll but the passing wasn't as clean as Curry's"

Give Kurt a big enough Sundae and he'll be on the sidelines slurping it down anyway and with you all we need to do is put a dress on a broomstick and you'll be distracted. Two against one on TL and he only has the time - No show. Spot you 30 points and still beat you by 30

Here you go Tim : quote from article below "There's no way around it, though: Golden State has become so good that they're bad for the league."

Proof that the Warriors are starting to make the NBA bad LOL

                                      Just as I surmised

Seriously, I think there is some Truth to this. Of course, to the fans of Warriors it is paradise. And rightfully so !!

But I don't think the Finals will be really as highly anticipated as years before.

I think overall fan's thrive on unpredictability and it will all become somewhat of a formality and people will look for other avenues that interest them

To be honest, I think the Novelty of the Warrior's greatness has worn a little as far as people being surprised and in awe dropping mode when they see them anymore.

Is that frustration and jealousy of other Team's and their Fan's??
.Absolutely ! Hell if it was my Spurs I would be jumping up and down as well lol

Personally, when they are not playing the Spurs it is a site to behold with the fluidity of that Team

But I think coming from purely an NBA executive's position and view it is probably not conducive to an ideal situation with such disparity between first an second place.

Robert, the scary thing for the rest of the league is that they will only get better. First, the core of the team, Curry, Thompson and green will continue to improve for several years. Second, they will attract quality free agents like... oh... like Durant! Lol. Can you imagine Durant on this team? Thing is, I'm not sure he would want to because it wouldn't be his team. However, if he wants to be a part of a championship caliber team for the next decade, he would be welcome by Dubs fans.

Well, Kurt, Mike wants to be on our team and you know he is a ball hog. lol

So the Knicks fired Derrick Fisher. I really didn't expect that. Next to go is probably George Karl who hasn't turned around the Kings as I thought he would. He's made them funner to watch but they still keep losing. Rumors are that Luke Walton may be leaving the Warriors for one of these jobs soon.

LOL....Dude has no respect whatsoever for the three point line. Sees it waaay off in the distance, says "Good morning neighbor" and tosses it up with nothing but net.

Defense? You can't defend that. You would need two clones of Manute Bol hanging around the half court line.

I dunno about comparing him to Jordan quite yet but he has the best handles i've ever seen and that includes Magic

Incidentally all these comparisons going back as far back as Magic have one serious flaw. None of the players then if you brought back from time in their prime would be the same players. The rules have changed to assist the offensive player and the competition has changed fueled by a whole lot more money involved. Magic wouldn't be magic. He'd train more scientifically and he would benefit from the rules changes

Spurs fans want to know, where's James Silas when you need him?

I think James Silas was one of the most underrated players of all time. In the ABA he averaged about 24 points a game later in his career and was a great defensive player too, along the lines of Walt Frazier.

He blew out a knee and never really recovered. Coach Doug Moe shifted the focus from James Silas to a young George Gervin. I've heard Gervin praise Moe for making Gervin's career.

Well, they played them very well, but Detroit probably played them the best. That game woke the Warriors up.

We came back after being down by about 26 in the third and lost by a point in overtime, then beat you by 1 or 2 in Denver.

That's right. Two really close games earlier this month. I was just checking and we already played you guys four times this year. Yeah, Denver seems to always play us tough. I will always remember going to a game against them in Oakland a couple years ago and the Nuggets just blew us out. That sucked. Lol

The Blazers didn't look like a .500 team last night when they blew out the Warriors. Damian Lillard played a great game, scoring a career high 51points and the Blazers defense was very tough. The Blazers were a hot team before the All Star break and look like they will continue that trend. They will be a tough out in the playoffs. The Spurs also lost their first game back from the All Star break on Thursday, then bounced back with a win last night. Tonight the Warriors play the second game of a back to back on the road against another hot team, the Clippers. Should be a good one, but I think the Dubs will bounce back and avoid losing two in a row for the first time this year.

yeah TL's Lakers and Kobe were making a run at Spurs last night until Kobe dislocated his finger.

Lillard was incredible last night. Surprised they could hand the World Champions such a drubbing by that amount.

Maybe it gives hope to the rest of us little guys in the league lol

Of course the minute we say this the Warriors come back and beat the Clippers by 50 tonight lol

Curry's been on a roll lately. Just amazing to see. Even more amazing perhaps is to hear all these old time players say their team could stop Curry and beat the Warriors. Lol. Of course there are all the ex Bulls who say they could beat the Dubs. That's a very legit statement because the Bulls were a great team. Then there's those who think the Lakers' teams, or Celtics, could beat them. That's legit also. But some of this stuff is just comical. Cedric Ceballos said the 93-94 Suns team he played on would beat the Warriors easily. ( BTW, that team didn't win a Championship ). Stephen Jackson guarantees that his 2007 Warriors' team would beat this team. ( That team didn't make it out of the second round! ) Then, you have the great Oscar Robertson who says the old teams from the 60s could beat this team because the teams these days don't know how to extend their defense. lol.

Anyways, the warriors are having fun with it. Andrew Bogut tweeted:

"My under 14 team in Melbourne Australia would have beat these @warriors 109-99. Fat Jimmy would have locked down @StephenCurry30 !!!!"

Andrew Bogut jokes his Australian team of teenagers would beat today

Looking forward to the Warriors playing the Thunder today at OKC.

By the way, there's a good chance the Spurs will end up having the 3rd best record ever this season! Just a crazy year.

Tim, don't be silly my 86' Hawks team would massacre the Dubs. With Tree Rollins and Doc Rivers, Would not even be a game lol

Seriously, Curry dribbled down to beat the Thunder tonight. Couldn't believe it. 13 three pointers he had. Should have been 14 as one circled out of the rim.

The Spurs beat Rockets in a convincing win at Houston. Score made it seem closer than it was.

ABC prime time basketball was spectacular tonight.

The Spurs will be licking their chops come March 19th. I would venture to guess it will NOT be another 30 point blow out by Dubs

There were a ton of NBA players, current and former stars, who tweeted about Curry last night. Robert, I saw that Phil Jackson even tweeted about Curry after last night's game and thought about what you wrote a couple times here:

"Never seen anything like SCurry? Remind you of Chris Jackson/ Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, who had a short but brilliant run in NBA?" ~ Jackson.

Here's the link to the story about other players tweeting.

I think I remember one if not both of those players and nope I do not put them at the level Curry is playing at now. If he keeps it up for the rest of the season and play offs I am willing to give him the GOAT in shooting the ball.

Jordan is still the master at getting to the basket and finishing but if he extends this performance into next season He's in the discussion for GOAT period and I din't think anyone had a shot at unseating Jordan not even Kobe

As my post indicated I was hazy on it but now thinking about it I'd go with Abdul Rauf as the more seasoned player

Well, it's official now. The Lakers are the best team in the nba. The Warriors shoot 4 for 30 from 3 and commit 20 turnovers. Hard to win doing that.

I knew we could do it!

I watched that game from the beginning and rooted hard for my team to beat your team and we did!

I didn't even know the game was on then tuned in holding my breath but was delighted to see us beating the defending NBA champions with about 5 minutes to go.

Got my recent edition of SI .

Dubs on the front cover( still cannot believed they were snubbed last year's SI Cover for their Title, at least in East region and here in Southwest Region)

Cover has Got Curry, Thompson, and Green with big relaxed smiles on their faces.

                              What else would you expect

Her some Quotes from the Article:
" And the supernovas of the 72- win Bulls and the current Dubs ? Nothing alike says Kerr. Michael Jordan lived a separate Life from us says Kerr. He stayed in his own suites, had his own security people, Steph takes a regular room like everybody else, goes everywhere the rest of the guys do. Michael intimidated players just by walking on the court. Fans too. Step walks on the floor, and people are like, " How old is he 13 ?? "

                              End quote.
Really great article discussing the inner Life of these guys

Anyway, Tim it really sucks big time that I actually find it extraordinarily hard to hate Curry LOL

Thanks Robert, I'll have to read that article.

Curry has his haters, but not that many. He is likable. He has a kind of a different personality also. It's funny, to me he seems like he is stoned all the time. He probably doesn't smoke though. He's very religious but rarely talks about it and never pushes his belief onto anyone else. He would probably be good at politics someday.

yeah. One recent Twitter caught the Curry's attention. A woman tweeted "My life goal is to have a threesome with @StephenCurry30 and @ayeshacurry,"

Yep, Curry didn't have an answer for our D tonight. Hadn't seen him rattled for 4 quarters like this in a long time.1-12 from 3 points.

Spurs are just 3 out and two games left against the Dubs.

This could go down to the end of the Season. Dubs still have advantage but there is some pressure on them.

Aldridge has turned into a huge asset for Spurs. What a great game

Pretty good, tough, intense and close game Saturday between the Dubs and Spurs. I enjoyed it. I don’t expect Klay and Steph to shoot a combined 2 for 19 on threes again. If those two make their normal percentages on their threes, like say just 8 for 19, the Warriors win by 10 points. It wasn't the defense of the Spurs really. Curry was missing wide open shots, including layups, he usually makes. Curry just looked off and a bit slow. He does have bad games. Thompson is streaky.

In the local papers Parker before the game said that the Spurs had something a little something different for the Warriors and he was really interested to see how they handled it.

Warriors were probably taken a little off guard. I honestly think they were thinking how easy it was in January. These Spurs were a different team back then.

Even with Bogut back they don't have an answer for Aldridge. That guy has outside shots and inside as well. He will dominate Bogut

As much as I admire Warriors and their attitude, I still say you Take any two players off the Warriors and any two of the Spurs it would not even be close. It wouldn't be even a 10 point game in Spurs favor.

Heck you could take 3 of the Spurs best players off the team and take Curry off and the Spurs would win.

                                        Im absolutely convinced of that

Overall a deeper team. Probably the deepest in NBA history. That being said the Warriors are still the best. I think they are in the driver's seat. It will be interesting of anyone can at least challenge them within a few points at Oakland in the Playoffs.

P.S. Yes this is my "Im going to rile you up today ,Tim" Post

Oh well. Spurs blow a 28-7 first quarter at Charlotte and get their 11th loss of season. Saturday was for nothing I guess lol

No way Dubs are going to lose 4 of last 12 games. I think Pop needs to go ahead and rest Parker, Duncan, Aldridge and Leonard for Playoffs. Get some minutes for Miller and some of the rotational players.

Spurs are going to get second place pretty much no matter what. It would be silly to risk injury to those key players !

Bogut has had an excellent year defensively and on offense has become more involved. Aldridge is a great offensive player but having Bogut and Ezeli in the lineup will help. Aldridge isn't going to dominate Bogut inside.

As much as I admire Warriors and their attitude, I still say you Take any two players off the Warriors and any two of the Spurs it would not even be close. It wouldn't be even a 10 point game in Spurs favor.

"I think San Antonio did a pretty good job and we followed their game plan," Rubio said. "It was different than what we used to do, but I think we came up big."

Tim, do I sense chinks in the armor ??

Timberwolves have had a horrific defense all season and their record shows, The Warriors barley squeaked by this one.

Even with Dubs bench they should have blown them out. So actually that says nothing about the Dubs bench

Are people starting to catch on to Curry and figure him out? Parker thinks so as well as Rubio.

And If any one person can connect the dots and break this guy POP can. Maybe he has?

It sure makes for interesting playoffs.

Remember, the only team the Dubs have NOT gotten their number on in a consistent manner in the Thompson- Curry era are my Spurs. Thats just a fact.
The Spurs know that and trust me Curry and Thompson as well as all the Warriors know that. Heck it's been 19 year since they won a regular season game in San Antonio

I think we are in the Warriors head's lol

Robert, if I'm not worried then I doubt the Warriors are worried. Lol

Teams have been double and triple teaming Curry all year. Usually he will adjust by either passing as soon as the double team or by driving through the defense. Earlier in the year the Warriors set it up to have Green receive the pass and then quickly drive the ball for a 4 on 3 opportunity that was very successful.

You are right that the Spurs are the only team we haven't really dominated yet, however we still beat them by 30 in one game and played them pretty tough in the the other. One more blowout and then it's back to the drawing board for Pops.

The thing is, the Warriors are very flexible and smart. They will make adjustments just like the Spurs made their adjustments. However, they can play a tough grind it out type game with anyone if necessary, especially when Iggy, Bogut and Ezeli are all back which should be soon.

Here's a good article about this subject, Robert.

Well I guess the Spurs have officially relegated themselves to No. 2 in the Western Conference Playoffs. Pop sat all his Starters except Green out tonight. I guess he knows they are No. 2 pretty much no matter what. And not surprisingly they got soundly beat.

A little disappointing to be honest. I was looking forward to this game. But not surprising. I still think with two games against the Dubs there was an outside chance. In sports you just never know.

I wonder how this will affect the Dubs....??

If Kerr will be smart and rest his A Team in this homestretch since they locked No.1 seed.

                                                OR

he listens to ole Draymond Green and his constant babbling on how much the Dubs want the Bulls
                                                record LOL

I think Green needs to be reminded in this situation that 73 wins at the expense of wearing out your teammates and getting injuries won't mean sh@t if you do not win it all

It sure will be interesting to see if Kerr has learned anything from POPs as a Coach

Robert, Kerr said a couple days ago that he would let the players have a say in getting rest down the stretch. They want to break the record but also want to stay sharp. The only two players who really would have needed rest, Iguodala and Bogut are coming off of injuries. The other players are young and haven't put in a lot of minutes this season anyways with Curry not playing in the 4th quarter many times because of huge leads.

Yep the Warriors are pullling out the close ones. The record is in sight for them.

However, just remember Tim. All this will mean significantly less if the Warriors do not win the Championship..

                          Significantly less.
