But in a nutshell, energy creates the illusion of denser energy to allow resistance in order to become self aware!

It's written: MARK 3, No. 11 - Gospel of Mark, chapter 3, verse 11! - According to that verse in the Bible, Neo is a metaphor of Christ consciousness. The fourth detail is when Neo goes to the Oracle... She told him: Being The One is like your in love! Did he believe in that? The fifth detail, who is Trinity or should I ask what is behind the name? = The Holy Trinity; The Symbol of Love! Did they fall in love each other? The sixth detail is agent Smith. The superhuman robot, who want to enter in Zion and destroy the city. Seventh detail, the name of the city: Zion or as you can see in the Old Testament, Zion is the Holy Mountain or Holy City!

- In the second part, after a lot of fight in the movie, Neo finally enter in the building and meet the Architect of the Matrix. Do you remember what he told to Neo in that conversation..? That hi is the sixth version of The One who enter in this room, but unlike the others he is different, and you know why? Because he fell in love and he can fell that for the first time. That's why he save Trinity and Zion in the same time!

- In the third part, is the final battle! Agent Smith try to enter Zion and become like them, Enlightened! But Neo and Trinity sacrifice their lives to destroy The Humans/Machines World, end the war and restore the balance on earth!

Mark; I don't know if I'll watch the entire video. But I did see a science special on The Science Chanel, where the physicist gave a very lucid reason (at least to me at the time) why the thought this universe may be a simulation.

It was a few years ago. And sometimes new ideas sound better the first time you hear them, before you can dissect the idea itself.

Without seeing this video, my first question is, if the movies like The Matrix (and The 13th Floor), weren't made...and this physicist never saw them..would he still have this theory?

In other words, is this theory the result of the science? Is this a discovery, that was made as a natural result of the math involved?

Or, did the guy watch The Matrix, and then try to see if the math would fit that idea?

Because, when you are looking to prove a particular theory, a clever person can usually find a way...regardless of whether it's true or not.

I did recently look up the computer simulation hypothesis on Wikipedia, and was less convinced. The theory seemed to be more a trick of logic, than real science. I may look again.

The idea of "projection" has been around at least since Plato. The philosophy is called "idealism". You have "materialism" and "idealism". So, no, scientists didn't decide to check out the reality of the Matrix.

The matrix is a mix of idealism as it relates to "reality" teamed with modern technology.

You are talking about philosophy. I was talking about physics. I'm familiar with Plato and Idealism. But they are philosophical constructs, not scientific discoveries/theories. That's why I didn't include them.

You also assume that the physicist who came up with the Matrix idea was a student of Plato. Not all scientists are students of philosophy.

Its a result of maths and its hardly advanced just by the video. Its hit peer reviewed journals

The idea is more derived from the fact the universe is mathematically ordered (which we knew long before the Matrix movies). At first we thought mathematics was just descriptive of the universe (our description) and then we found it was predictive (periodic elements predicted before we found them) which implies a logical order.
