    • I found a best method to repair MS PowerPoint files, this method solve me problem and easily repair my damaged PowerPoint files. I used "Open and Repair" functions

      a. Launch Microsoft PowerPoint on your system.
      b. On the File menu, click on Open. Or simple press Ctrl+O.
      c. Now locate the presentation file on your system and select it.
      d. Click on the arrow that is shown besides Open button.
      e. Select Open and Repair.

Hope this method resolve your problem

  • Hi. I liked using 2007 powerpoint and had created project in that. When I emailed it and had an email issue in sending, I reopened the file to check it. File was corrupted. Now I cannot open any powerpoint file - the page shows on lower task bar, but it just scoots offscreen every time I try to access it. So cannot use its repair tools. Am ok to use 2007 or 2013 versions which I have (as long as I can open file) but dont know how to go about fixing this.
    Any advice please?

    • That is a bit disappointing... found an email this morning from James Snow through Warrior Forum.
His message said: 'You can restore your corrupt PPT Files by multiple methods. just check out the below methods for easy recovery of PPT files *1st Option* First, Move your PPT files to ... '
Went to open it and it is deleted...?
Does anyone out there know what I can do when the program refuses to open properly because of these corrupt files?
      Cheers
  • You can use Recuva or Disk drill, it's a data recovery software. It's easy in use tool that can recover deleted files. Take a look at this website. No matter what type of storage device you've lost data from, Disk Drill can scan it. + great interface

    • Thanks Dabby Rouse and MidelSunRise,
I will check this out. Have had to resort to Publisher, which is a lengthy process - though it has got me out of immediate trouble, but have great hopes to rescue PowerPoint files now.
If anyone knows of any other way to get PP going again, I would be happy to hear it.
      Cheers
  • use Recuva tool
