WOW! They DO discuss much in that video. But ******WOW*******! Desi arnaz probably gets LITTLE acknoledgement for what he apparently did to the film industry. Most may not realize that HIS company financed an interesting "western" as one put it. A kind of "trek to the stars". It became known as star trek. But FORGET that! FORGET all the other films his company financed. Even FORGET the "I love lucy" that made him really famous. Forget ALL of that!

As I understand it, DESI didn't want all his work to go up in smoke, so he opted for two things:

    1. Multiple camera angles to catch everything.
    2. A new type of film that was expensive, but NOT the celluloid often used. As wikipedia puts it, "The main use was in movie and photography film industries, which used only celluloid films prior to acetate films that were introduced in the 1950s. Celluloid is highly flammable, difficult and expensive to produce and no longer widely used" BTW desilu was funded in 1950, named after Desi arnaz and lucille ball.

So for this film to be DECENT quality, and so old, WOW!!!!!!! If I were them, I would digitize it and make copies on CURRENT media! I once watched a flm from the 1920s made from fragments found all over the world. I'm sure MUCH was due to the media which was very fragile really.
