This is just what I do. Everyone else is different.

FIRST THINGS FIRST. CLEAR ALL YOUR TABS. THIS IS A VERY EASY TUTORIAL. EVERYTHING IS BASED ON THE CHROME BROWSER AND EVERYTHING IS FREE!

KEEP IN MIND CHROME EXTENSIONS ARE LIKE CANDY. DO NOT GET SUCKED UP IN SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME.

first the essentials. you have to have the following accounts
- google drive
- drop box
- google calender's
- google email

INSTALL THE FOLLOWING APPS
- Save to Drive
This streamlines all of your document storage
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Ganterr for Google Drive
this is project management software and I only use this because I have developed a very fixed way on starting a new project based on what it is (niche site, burner site, blog etc..)
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Meister Task
My one true love. This allows you to manage your project tasks.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Sunrise Calendar
This is my personal project calendar. Basically Meister task as a calendar. I use this to outline my link building.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Memo Pad
I use this as a project Journal or for new ideas, saving and organizing keywords etcc
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Papaly
Thee best book marking manager you will ever find. No one can top me on that.

FINAL STEPS FOR YOUR APPS. PIN THEM TO YOUR BROWSER SO THEY ARE ALWAYS OPEN FOR YOU.

NOW FOR THE FINAL EXTENSIONS. THE POINT FOR THESE ARE FOR QUICK AND EASY SHORT CUT ACCESS TO ALL OF THE APPS.
- Checker Plus for Gmail
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Checker Plus for Google Calendar
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Checker Plus for Google Drive
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Day by Day for Google Calendar
The only reason I use this is because settings thing with checker plus requires a premium upgrade.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- Google Mail Checker
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- OneTab
For the times you have a million tabs open
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- PasswordBox
for the sake of convenience and managing all of those affiliate accounts
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

- QuickDrop for DropBox
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...er-info-dialog

QUICK TIP
You can always start a new gmail so that your have that browser specifically for your projects and affiliate accounts. You can use your other email for everything else. The point for the new gmail is that, nothing is in your inbox except what you really need, like account recoveries etcc

Wow thanks, it seems like you put some serious thought into that. Currently I just have like 40 windows open. I mainly use firefox but setting up chrome like that would be sick! I'm slowing switching over to google based office utilities so I can edit the stuff on my phone.

haha it's actually really simple. Fortunately all of these apps allow you to sign up by pressing buttons for google or FB accounts or just copy and paste your account info.

Once it is set up though, it is a bad ass platform.

SETTING UP YOUR MEISTER TASK LIST. I HAVE MINE EXACTLY IN THIS ORDER.
    - 5 Things Today
    - Open Tasks
    - In Progress
    - Do Tomorrow
    - All Done

Somewhere in the settings you can make each panel smaller so that you don't have to be scrolling left and right.

If Google hadn't turned into Satan incarnate, I might be inclined to try some of that.

Alas, I now refuse to log unto any Google or Facebook account unless I'm in a private browser session, and even then I just do what I need to do real quick and get out asap.

They have no concept of people wanting to maintain boundaries in their lives. I guess when the whole company consists of barely post-adolescents living, working, and playing in the alternate universe of a google playground, common sense and any connection with the 'real world' evaporates fast.

For example, google maps on my phone has taken to notifying me that its x minutes to someplace I've spent time at. Does nobody at Google ever stop to think that maybe I don't want every jackass that can see my phone to know I spend several hours a week at the nudie bar? Or moonlighting at a second job? Or hanging with the other g/f? Or fishing off the pier because my sales calls were all done and my quota met by noon?

Or if I google "jobs selling machine tools" a lot at home, it might be a little awkward if I go to look something up with my boss at the office and every autocomplete is some job search related query because some genius at Google with their head up their ass automatically ported my search history to "improve my user experience".

Not a single one of the google geniuses has even a minimal shred of real world common sense enough to realize what a BAD IDEA it is to just start doing that to people? And they want me just trust them to "not be evil" with all the other data they can collect?

    Sheesh. Count me out.

You do realize that you can unsync everything. Just because the machine knows where you are doesn't mean people do. Your data isn't detailed and people aren't manually reading any of that. It's all code reacting to the position of your device (synced, which you have done) and relaying it back.

If it makes you feel better, Yahoo and Bing do the same thing.

You missed the point entirely, but it's ok.

    Hi there,
I work for MeisterLabs, the company behind MeisterTask, and your post showed up in my MeisterTask mentions today. Just wanted to say that this looks like a really cool productivity setup you've put together, and it's fantastic to see our app in there.
    Thanks a lot for sharing!
