Time to go for one last ride, after dentist appointment, and lock it up for the winter.... Gonna miss that sucker over coming months.... but maybe will go to the garage and visit it every now and then anyway!

Oh well, there's always next year!

We still have some days left here in NY.
I've got a bald rear tire at the moment so the rides are relatively short.

Yeah, dont want to ride with bald tires for sure. I need some new ones myself. Will save it for spring though.

I guess I'm a bit of a die-hard. About the only thing I won't/can't ride in is snow or ice. Cold weather isn't too big of a deal as I have pretty warm coat and pants. I can ride around in 30degrees all day. Do wish I had some electric gloves, though

BUT - I saw a pic on FB of some guy with a Dyna that had rigged up a sidecar frame and wheel, and made himself some cable chains and was riding merrily along his way.

I'm looking for a sidecar wheel...

I avoid the snow and ice myself. Other then that it just depends on how much salt is on the roads for winter riding.
Back in the 70's I had to ride all winter because I couldn't afford car insurance. Had the Kaw back then which was naturally a lighter bike so wasn't bad in snow or ice (easy to pick up)
I've wanted a sidecar for a while now. If I had one I'd ride all winter, in fact I'd probably get rid of the car entirely.

I ride on them, I just don't go far

I had a Yamaha IT250 a long time ago and a bunch of us decided to go up on the mountain after it snowed. I thought I was doing ok when before I knew it I hit a patch of ice under the snow and I was on my ass sliding and the bike was going the other way down the mountain. No warning, no drifting in a slide, no saving it. Last time I ever rode on the snow

They say there are two kinds of riders... the ones who have had some spills... and the ones who havent spilled yet. Have had my share over the years (a few) , they are all scary... You learn some things not to do, and thank God that you got up off the pavement.
