Help Me Kill My Mouse.

Hey all!

I'm super mad right now. Spent ages writing a WSO advert to hit the back button on the side of my Intelli mouse and lose everything. I know... I know, I should have written it in notepad first or something.

I'd like to say that is my only problem with mice, but the Mac might mouse is a pile of garbage as well. The scroll wheel is appalling and the least ergonomic thing Apple have ever devised.

I need a mouse fit for a POWER marketer lol.

What mouse do you use and why?

I really can't take the evil mice twins of Microsoft and Apple any longer.

Add to that that my Hiper power supply is squeeking in my PC ( I hate switching it on versus my quiet Mac) and I feel like putting the whole lot in the microwave and going out for a run (please note that is insane and could kill - don't try).

Seriously, I spend so long at computers I need a mouse that won't drive me mad

PS - If I do kill Mr Mouse I will be sure to put the images on Twit Pic

PPS - this is a serious hindrance to my marketing efforts!

You should hire the Mouse Assassin:

    Seriously tho, I've always liked/used Logitech's mice...

Microsoft wireless Laser Mouse 6000 is my favorite...

After a dozen different mice and keyboards I settled on this one as the most comfortable and ergonomic I have used conforming to the natural form of your hand in a relaxed position.

Better yet it comes bundled with the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 which I find to be the most natural ergonomically keyboard I have tried.

I am obsessive about ergonomics and my cut up hacked together desk, lowered lcd platform and modified swinging and tilting keyboard tray arm are a testimony to that.

They sit next to a treadmill standing workstation and I run a kvm switch connected to my custom built Mac Pro and PC boxes.

And after buying chair after chair including expensive ergonomic designs... I have found the best to be a Gold's Gym Stayball which is a large heavy duty weighted inflatable exercise ball that cost $20 :-)

You might consider trying a wireless mouse mouse though:

Btw... the only thing worse than a Mac mouse is a Mac keyboard ;-)

    Hi Josh,

Mice with lasers sound good to me. Mice with wireless? Where do I stick it... Oh right, PLASTIC mice...

I love my Micosoft Comfort Curve, not keen on my Macaminium keyboard...

You hit the button by mistake - and it's the mouse's fault? Oh my!

Use the test section here to write your copy - then if you hit that back button....you can just hit forward button and find your text again. I know - little late to tell you that!

As someone who once pulled a similar stunt on notepad AFTER writing (but not yet saving) about 12 pages of copy- I do sympathize.

I've defended this mouse through thick and thing when other people using my computer have complained about it!

Thing is... I think they were right and I was in denial!

If you want the best scrolling experience consider an infrared wireless mouse. Most wirless mice come with a decent range so you can scoot within a 10 yard radius of your pc and navigate comfortably. I like infrared mice because they can point and click with any surface without having to worry about that jittering that a standard ball mouse has.

Heya, The Intellimouse doesn't have a ball, nor does the Mighty mouse. Both are wireless. Both need to die.

    Any cats around?

  • Hay Steve,

    I use the Microsoft® Arc™ Mouse

I first bought it because it looks cool, but turns out it works great, better than my Logitech.

I use a Logitech gaming mouse that has adjustable speed. Most mice move the cursor 400 pixels per inch of mouse movement, but with this mouse I keep it set at 800 dpi, and really like that speed.

When I do use a normal mouse now it is almost like jogging on the spot. Lots of movement and exercise, but not getting anywhere.

Logitech is quality all-around. This next brand is usually targeted towards gamers, but they've got some really nice - and awesome looking - mouses: Razer.

Just realized I still can't post links, blah.

Wow guys, thanks for the advice. Eddie James spent £100+ on his last mouse - I'll be darned if I spending that much!!

My windows mouse is sorted now - but can anyone recommend a good Mac mouse that fits in with the overall design asthetic (bit pathetic on my part - I'll grant you!)
