Is it long holiday in USA?

I know last Friday is so call black Friday

and this Monday is call Cyber Monday


I not from US but I noticed this weekend traffic seem low....
Perhaps everyone go out shopping , etc?

    Yeah, it's Thanksgiving week in the USA. It's a day, but the whole week is affected by it to some degree. Important time for a lot of people, and the beginning of much higher stress levels for a lot of people too.

    From Thursday through Sunday, people are eating and traveling to their families. After Sunday, people are shopping, decorating, planning and preparing for Christmas. The holiday season here doesn't end until after New Year's Day and then people in the US are generally frugal because of being broke from Christmas holiday and paying their IRS taxes. Except for mainstream online shopping, this is the slowest period of time for online selling.

        Local Schools closed mid Wednesday. College Students that travel leave earlier in the week or the weekend before Thanksgiving. A lot of businesses also close some point on Wednesday and stay closed for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Monday will be a normal day, but Online sales take place.

        Cyber Monday has become a great marketing name but is not a Holiday in the US. Christmas gifts and Hanuka presents are the major purchase here. Toys and clothes and a few other items are the big sellers. Those are the markets to find niches to go into.

        As far as the make money online group, a lot of the marketers use the theory if someone has their wallet out, they can make money. That is why you see so many promotions this time of year. Take a look it is always a great time to pick up a domain or hosting at a deep discount. Others use it as a the final attempt to get sales up before the first of the year.

          Yeah ... I've unsubscribed to a big handful of sites this week. Email after email, smacking of desperation to the point that I don't want to hear from them anymore.

    It almost got to the point that I labeled anything with "Black Friday" as a spam term. I woke up to 91 emails Friday morning trying to pitch one thing or another -- all with "BLACK FRIDAY DEAL" in the first few words.

    Edit: I wrote that, and opened my email to find 17 Cyber Monday deals. It's still Sunday. ;/
