Why are people who watch The Daily Show (with Jon Stewart) better informed than people who watch FoxNews?

Yep, there is probably a word for it. It is like all the 5 year olds, told they are SO smart by everyone, that feel they know everything because they feel they know all they could about all they do. And don't EVER tell them they have a 200 IQ, even if they do, or they will feel their mere 100 IQ parents are intellectually inferior, A 5 year old, with a 100 IQ is like an adult with a 25 IQ. It IS called a QUOTIENT, after all!

It is the same idea that, when pushed to its extreme, leads those people to try out for things like "america's got talent", feeling that they are SOOOO superior, that any judge MUST pick them!

This isn't the BEST example, but it was the first and god enough. She was probably told she was beautiful also!

As for the politics one, apart from not being able to comment about it, all l will say is there must be a lot in the US. The US has gone from millions to Trillions in depts.

I figure even with the occasional war to sell military hardware, when they get to Zillions, it will probably all be over?

I doubt that there is a market for Australian ones, they are generally too stupid?

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I would question how informed anyone is that watches The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Trevor Noah took over for Stewart months ago.

The reason I specified "with Jon Stewart" is because of a survey done at the time he was still hosting the show. As yet there hasn't been a similar survey done since Trevor Noah took over.

According to that study, if you factor in the other categories, Rush Limbaugh listeners are almost more informed.

I'd never heard of him so had to actually look him up. An interesting character to say the least.

It still doesn't surprise me that anyone who gets their news from sources other than Fox is better informed.

LOL! "Almost". That's rich. My Broncos "almost" won the game Sunday. Anyone want a hand grenade or horseshoe? I bet you folks are the ones that give out participation trophies. OK, you get a trophy, you just need to buy it yourself.

BTW, the "categories" are pointed out as "selected ITEMS" and shouldn't be considered categories. But even if we use only the 4 selected ITEMS (they aren't categories), Rushies still placed behind the Daily Show.

"Item" means one unit. I think it's fair to assume that each "item" means one question of the 23 that were asked.

But let's take it a step further while we're at it...Readers of major newspaper sites and Jim Leher viewers also "almost" beat Daily Show viewers, and they did beat The Drugster.

It was close among the leaders, however the point still remains that Fox News watchers are buried down the list.

The American system is a lot different to that in other countries including Australia. Nowhere else do politicians rely on donations as much as they do in America. Some places even have bans on donations to politicians and parties.

That's why the linked article is regarded as satire in Australia..

Laid out flat an' dead, awaitin' enthusiastic trample.

Free will gotta figure someplace as a means of production or u gotta come up with better alternatives.
