    I think a yurt is a better idea than the "tiny homes" in many circumstances. They're a little bigger and often less expensive.

  • Videos often bore me quickly - but that was fun! What an interesting couple. I thought I'd like a yurt but after being in one (just to look at it) I didn't care much for it. I like angles and a yurt is all rounded.

    • This life-style does not really appeal to me but I do find it interesting. They (this couple) actually stopped homesteading for a bit.

      I think the incident with the bear was a deep emotional trauma at the time.

    • I like that they are circular, although I'd want the top part of Kurt's yurt to be "see through". With the yurt being round this would give me a 360 degree view of the sky and stars at night.


      I also like the "Taoist" feeling of a circular home, with no beginning or end.


      However, with a little creative design, there's a lot that can be done to the interiors...take a look at this for an idea:
