Hard Drive Recovery Software

Hey Guys,

Do you have any experience with hard drive recover software? I need to suggest something to my neighbour who's getting "Disk Read Error" on his laptop. He's going to buy an enclosure for the drive and hook it up.

    I have experience with a program called "Get Data Back for NTFS" It's successful about 50% of the time. Takes a long time to run though. It all depends on whats wrong with the drive.

    Depending on how far the drive is gone, I've had success with Spinrite.
