Seeing New PM's In New UI?

Is there a way you can see if you have new PM's with this new UI WF put out today?

I know in order to check PM's now, you have to click "User CP" then "Private Messages" but how do you know if you even received a Private Message without checking manually?

Are we just supposed to constantly check manually now...?

    You get an email saying you have PMs

    However yes - whoever designed that UI and removed PM notification really wasn't thinking things through

      Is that a new thing?

      I don't get those notifications, though, I may've shut that off a long time ago and don't remember if that's just the default.

        Go into "edit options" and go into messaging options....there is a little box to check if you want "new message notification".

        Mine still works.

        Looks like more design changes today - and not a single banner ad seems to be showing...top or bottom. Interesting - but my "red line" (toolbar) is now white. I do like the big "search box" though haven't tried it yet.

        Edit: I have had "new PM" notifications today...but don't know if that was before or after they made the latest design changes.
