Has anyone gotten a robo call purporting to be from the I.R.S.?

The caller says that the I.R.S. is threatening a lawsuit against you.

Do not be worried. This call is coming from an illegal scam that has been going on for a couple of years now.

Guess what! That's NOT the IRS calling

This isn't new - the warning is from 2014. Hard to believe people fall for this stuff but apparently they do.

      Yes, they do.

A few days ago, a customer was telling me how she won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. She just had to wait for the check. And she told me how she paid the deposit of $500 to deliver the check. I had no idea what to tell her.

And Kay, you're in the OT forum. A third of the people here, believe these scams right now.

I remember your "Free Mains Lead With Every Vacuum Cleaner" scam from 2013. So many suckers fell for that one.

When they catch these criminals, they should draft 'em into the army and make them serve a 6-year term to pay for their crimes. That'd be more useful than prison, and it would probably be a greater deterrent. They might even come out of it as better people.

Which is weird, because now that you've hit rock bottom... the only direction you can go is up.

I can't be at rock bottom. I never passed you on the way down. I think I can smell you a bit down below. :-)

That's just typical Claude. I keep telling him he can't wear the same underwear every day without washing them.

If you would get your face away from my "down below bits" it may help.

Your face looks exactly like my 'down below.' I guess that's where your nickname of pecker head, came from.

Pin is a word reserved for another part of you, not your head. Or was it needle?'

What's a synonym for "flaccid needle"?

Are you trying to get legitimate military volunteers killed?

Make them clean toilets at the IRS or something else semi productive. I don't need any more pics like this from someone being forced to punch a ticket of military service.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust such a call unless I got a letter from the IRS. There are MANY things to look for and, if a crook made it 100 percent legit, you know who gets the check? The IRS! And the IRS HATES doing things! They may take YEARS to come after you, and charge high vaulted ESTIMATES with penalties and INTEREST!

I got that very call on my answering machine. I knew it was fake straight away and erased it. I knew perfectly well that if it had been legit they would have sent me a formal letter via email to my spam box.
