I've used his Fungi products for years both indoors and out.
One year during a drought I had one of the best vegetable gardens in the area with huge yields of Eggplant, Peppers, Tomatoes, and even Carrots and Beets. The only watering I did was when I planted the garden. The key was using this Pearl Oyster Sawdust Spawn mixed into a layer of wood chips with a leaf mulch on top.
Pearl Oyster Sawdust Spawn - Fungi.com Plus in addition to a great crop of veggies I also got a great crop of mushrooms.

You sound like my old Entomology (and plant pathology , fruit science and vegetable production) professor. Most of the labs in his classes where outdoors and the two of us would spend a lot of lab time hunting mushrooms.

I once worked with a bass player who was "into" (snort, smoke, inject, whatever) mushrooms.

He was the only one in the group who didn't have personality problems.

Maybe he was on to something.

I don't actively hunt or grow Psilocybe cubensis but I'll eat them if I have them.
Now I do hunt Morels, Puff Balls, Hen of the Woods and other edible species that grow around here and grow Shitake and Oyster mushrooms.
Here's another Paul Stamets video on "magic mushrooms" that's very interesting.
