How are you positioned for Valentines day?
Success in business and in life comes down to nothing more than good positioning!
Hello Warriors, how are you positioned? By the time you've read this post, you're going to know why you fail and how to look at things much differently in order to finally WIN. Lets do this!
OK, so I regularly play highly competitive CS:GO matches. For those of you who don't know what CS:GO is, Counter Strike Global Offensive is an online objective-based multiplayer first-person shooter. Each player joins either the Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist team and attempts to complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game operates in short rounds that end when all players on one side are dead or a team's objective is completed. For most game modes, once a player dies, they must wait until the round ends to re-spawn.
So I often find myself in a 1 v 5 situation. All my team mates are dead and now I have to face off against 5 opponents. Impossible right? WRONG! Instead of running out into the open, allowing all 5 enemies to easily shoot me down in a shower of bullets, I position myself tightly into the wall, using it for cover. This forces my 5 opponents to run for cover also as they can't see me and don't want to get picked off out in the open. As I just peak out from my cover, they can only do the same, the 1 v 5 is now really just 5 x 1v1 mini fights. Of which I rarely lose. I beat the odds, win the match down to nothing more than good positioning. My great positioning leveled the playing field and I win victorious.
Good positioning works the same in all aspects of business and life. If you aren't well positioned in your business, you will get picked off by your better positioned competitors. Maybe they have a bigger warehouse, maybe their processes are more efficient, maybe their staff are harder working, so many reasons why your competitors could be better positioned than you for success. It's that simple. You must learn how to best position yourself in your business and in life.
For example, how many of you are badly positioned for Valentines day? Lets look more deeply into this. What is the goal of Valentines day? Well, considering that Valentines day is known to be the absolute best night of the year to easily bed down with a beautiful women, usually far out of your league ordinarily, due to their desperate need to seek validation from their beauty to draw self-esteem from literally anyone, all you have to do is show up, you don't even need game. But you do need to be single to take advantage of it.
So firstly, if you are attached come Valentines day, that's terrible positioning. You're stuck home with some frump when you should be going out and taking advantage of the easiest night of the year to be with a smoking hot perfect 10!
Lets look at some valentines positioning scenarios.
Married men - Only yesterday a report was released showing that 1 in 4 couples over 50 NEVER HAVE SEX AGAIN! Read that again guys, 1 in 4 married men over 50 NEVER HAVE SEX AGAIN. EVER! Do you want to be THAT GUY? I know, doesn't bare thinking about does it. Can you imagine, even if you are lucky enough not to get taken to the cleaners through divorce, if your marriage is successful, past 50 you might never get any sex again. BAD POSITIONING, VERY BAD!
Young guy with girlfriend - These guys think they've got it going on. WRONG! They have to go out and buy presents and gifts, spend money on an expensive meal and night out just to sleep with the same female they get to sleep with every night of the year for free. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE. IT'S FREAKING STUPID! BAD POSITIONING!
ME - I have an awesome day playing CS:GO in my mothers basement, I go out to the local bar at 11pm where all the hotties in very tight dresses who haven't found a cool guy are desperately hoping to find someone, ANYONE, to go home with. They can't bare the though of going home alone on VALENTINES NIGHT! I buy one drink for myself, walk over to the hottest female I can find and just say, you look beautiful! That's it, that's all you have to do. By 8am the next morning she's doing the walk of shame to the taxi and I'm firing up the PC for more CS:GO fun. AMAZING POSITIONING.
I hope this helps some of you realize that in order to succeed, all you have to do is change your positioning and you will start winning. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, JUST ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION,
