I'm a Metalhead, but mainly old school Metal, back in the days when it was just called Hard Rock (Sabbath, Priest, Budgie, UFO, Lizzy, etc.).

From way back in 1975 (before most of today's MetalHeads were even a twinkle in their Dad's eyes), one of the heaviest songs ever recorded from the band that pretty much created the Metal genre.

Although i havent lived on that era. Ive seen a documentary called A metal head's journey and how Black Sabbath was the heaviest on their time and gave way to new wave of british heavy metal. Im a fan of American Thrash and Death but man, Black Sabbath is still one of my fave. Timeles.

  My favourite Sabs tracks are from the Ozzy era, however Dio was a far superior singer. Dio was actually a singer, whereas Ozzy is a vocalist, if that makes sense.

Well for Power, Groove, Progressive sub genres they actually require you to carry a little tune atleast and not all guttural vocals. Come to think of it. Slayer is American thrash but if you listen closely he is atleast carrying out a tune from the riffs. So yeah i thinks its pretty safe to say that you can at the most sing a thing or two

Sounds like they got a real nightingale mannin' the throatscape.

Could be a hit for my next yoga chillout playlist, alongside Korallreven, 180 mins of gurglin' Japanese fountains, an' a selection of random dolphins.

I jus' Googled 'Top 10 Slayer songs', an' I can't decide between Rainin' Blood, Seasons in The Abyss or War Ensemble.

Prolly alla these are good for stretches where you gotta curve your back — oh, but which one to pick...?
