Goals with money differ with each individual but I want to know what kind of money per week would satisfy you?

    you first
Never mind I have no interest in your financial goals.
As for me I'm satisfied with the kind of money I get now, it's American and I'm in America.

I kinda figure the more you make the more you want. Not sure there is a limit. Generally more is better but yes all the money in the world can't buy your health back.

Oh, I'm easy to please. I just want enough to be a world ruler with enough left over for a major interest in a few other life supporting planets which contain gold. That's all.

Unfettered travel is one of my goals, so I've had my eye on a Bombardier Global Explorer. It's about $50 million, so enough for the jet and enough to keep it flying and me fed.

Money is really only a means to an end. And, the amount of money that may satisfy you today may not tomorrow--inflation decreases the value of your money so the more inflation occurs, the more money you need just to stay at the level you were previously at.

I think few people want money just for the sake of piling it up in a room so they can stare at it, count it, and do who-knows-what with it. People want money to provide security, both financially and physically as well. People want money to buy things, to enjoy certain things, to travel, to stay at home, etc.

Your goals may change too. Today, you might want a nice motor home. Once you've achieved that, you may be desirous of a better motor home. Maybe one that is bigger or more fuel efficient. And, it may not just be a matter of greed or conspicuous consumption; it may be that the model you bought just didn't suit your needs as well as you thought it would.

And, you might plan that you could be perfectly happy for a certain amount of dollars per month, that would cover your travel expenses and whatever else you may do on your trip, such as eating out, seeing a play, etc. But, in your travels, you might find a spot where you decide you want to live permanently. Then, you'll want a nice house and a car. And simply selling your motor home may not be enough to cover it, so then you may need additional money.

When you're at the bottom of things, you just want enough money to live comfortably. Once you're living comfortably, there may be no limit to the amount of money you'd want to make, for the simple reason that you don't know where life may take you. Certainly, you're better off having too much money than too little.

So, it's always a moving target.

You can't take it with you, but you can leave it behind for your family or your friends. You can set up charitable giving plans of your choosing, spreading the money amongst those people or institutions that you believe need or could best utilize it.

On top of that, you need not end up in the graveyard at all. You could have yourself cryogenically preserved or even freeze-dried in the hope that future generations may be able to bring you back once they have cured whatever killed you, cured death and found a way to restore preserved tissues back to a viable state.

Yeah, they've been able to do that for a long time -- Didn't anyone recognize Hiram when he was elected under the pseudonym of "George" a few years back?

I agree with a lot of what Dan C. Rinnert said.

It would be nice to have enough to feel "comfortable" that most of what you can predict there being a chance of life throwing at you can be covered easily (like medical bills for one thing), but totally trusting in and loving money can only lead to bad IMO.

Anyway, that's probably too heavy for what this topic was meant for Kinda ruining the fun?

$12k a month would be pretty good. $6k to live on, what wasn't spent being put to savings (probably gold/USD/Euro mix), $4k to buy up food in bulk, first aid kits, etc. and then $2k / 15+% dedicated to "helping out" I HAD to give away/donate every month barring emergencies. Easier said than done, but as my income grew and grew I think it would help me stay grounded.

Blah, I tend to ramble when I post this late.

It actually doesn\'t matter. Although we can\'t deny the fact that money is the most important thing nowadays to live. I don\'t know what amount, it depends on the situation. Money does not satisfy me at all, but the thing money can\'t buy, is precious.

Enough money to live w/out any worries, and also enough to build a charity for mentally and verbally abused children! Nothing is worse than a child's spirit being broken! And...enough money to buy my own tropical island cuz I live for sun, sand, and surf!
Oh, and not necessarily in that order either! ; )

To me money represents security, freedom, and power.

Freedom: To purse my dream of traveling around the world and writing fiction stories so I can share them freely online. Being able to entertain simply to entertain.

Security: My parents adopted a lot and my sister is medically needed, I love her to death and I know that money would equal better treatment for her. Plus it would allow my family a net of safety.

Power: One man can't fix the world, but having the ability to do something would be better then nothing. Money represents the ability to help on a massive scale, and I'd like to do more then I do right now some day.
