... and it's not looking good.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/batm...wn_of_justice/

Filled with scenes of gloomy characters confronting their demons or wrestling with insipid moral quandaries, this joyless slog isn't a superhero film so much as it is an excruciating therapy session with huge explosions and guys in capes.
I can't lie and call Batman v Superman a great movie. Not even for us superhero fans.
Snyder's movie presents extremist versions of familiar characters in a tonal mishmash that indulges in more thunderous conflict than it can wrestle into coherence.
There is a good movie inside of Batman v Superman, which makes it all the more frustrating that the stuff the movie gets wrong, it gets really wrong.
Megaton fight scenes are the reason people will put up with bad dialogue or bad logic in a film, so it's an outright tragedy when Batman v Superman's showdowns become as boring as the rest of it.
If it's action you want, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will not disappoint. But take away the interminable fight scenes, and the screenplay crashes into plot holes big enough to drive the Batmobile through.
Sounds like those who prefer the escapism of 90 minutes of non-stop action with no coherent plot will love it. Those of us who like to be taken on a journey though should avoid it like they would leprosy.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
According to one of the reviews, the movie reveals how Superchap and Batdude eventually become friends. They discover that both of their stepmothers are named Martha. That's it folks. No common ideology, no desire to see evil eradicated from the world, just a stepmother with the same name.

Sheesh! I'm going to avoid this one even when it makes its way onto Netflix.

Hey, it was a Valiant effort by the Dark Horse, DC, to keep up with the Image that Marvel has created, but unfortunately, DC just isn't the same Caliber.

38% from critics? 84% from movie goers?

I'll see it. I've read several reviews. Most of them said that if you like Man of Steel and Watchman, you'd like this movie.

It's a much more somber movie that The Avengers, or most of the Marvel movies.

Several reviewers said something about it being visually awe inspiring, but not that much fun. The same response that Man Of Steel got.

Actually, DC Entertainment is one of the production companies, so, again, you're wrong.

DC is also culpable because it created the source material. Garbage in, garbage out.

I saw that. This just means they get a piece of the action, and put some money in. They had no creative input.

          This is a serious question;

Are you just saying these things about DC, because you think it irritates me? Or do you genuinely dislike the characters?

Or, do you just think the DC character movies are just not as good as the Marvel movies?

            OREALLY?!

Warner Bros and DC Comics have crafted the March 25 movie as the foundation for a larger, interconnected cinematic universe: It's not just one $250 million superhero epic, it's also the set-up for 10 other DC movies - and, if all goes according to plan, many more after that.

I sense the disappointment in your writing and the slow realization that whatever the critics say, you will go and see it, you MUST go and see it. The build up, the wait has been almost too much to bear. You will see this, and you will force yourself to like it, defend it, scrabbling around for some virtuous redeeming quality to expound upon like you did in the appallingly received re-boot of the Fantastic 4.

Yet, in your heart of hearts, you know full well, as do I, that it's just the fact that finally, the movies can now effectively and convincingly, bring to life these childhood fantasy figures having a dam good dustup.

I think I can sympathise with that view and share it to an extent. I never expected anything else from any of these superhero movies anyway and the fact that some won awards and were well acted and sometimes had a storyline of all things was a bonus.

The Terminator reboot was panned, I loved it and will probably enjoy this too.

          Nearly right.

I'll watch it because I'll watch nearly all Superhero movies. The great ones, I'll watch multiple times, the bad ones I won't.

It isn't the build up, it's the fact that I read Superman comics when I was a kid. It's nostalgia. Last night, on TCM, there were a few of the serials from the 1940s; Superman, Batman, The Phantom.

Unbelievably bad. But for the time, probably amazing .

When I defend a movie, sometimes it's because I really liked it. But also, I might defend it because the reviews are so over the top unfair.

For example, the Fantastic Four reboot was terrible. But the first half wasn't bad. But because I didn't just trash the whole thing, it reads as though I really liked it.

The "force yourself to like it" thing is not true. But I do force myself to be fair, even if I didn't like it.

The Batman V Superman movie? I have seen every preview, and know most of the story. So, I will probably like it. In fact, if the previews I've seen are the best parts, I'll still think it was worth seeing. Snyder made Man Of Steel and I really liked it. Reviewers say this movie has the same tone.

Plus, one reason I like Superhero movies...is that they don't make sense, by their very nature. i can just enjoy the action, without having to notice that Lois Lane gets kidnapped every three days.

So, what critics say about Superhero movies, means less to me than what they say about dramas, or good science fiction...where the action isn't the main thing.

My wife and I watched Allegient, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it 10%. We thought it was OK....for a movie about teenagers.

I liked the Fantastic Four reboot more than I liked Green Lantern. It had almost no redeeming qualities.

And yes, Riffle, I know Green Lantern is a DC character and Fantastic Four is Marvel.

I saw neither so I can't comment. Although, the Fantastic Four barely counts as a Marvel property anymore. Hell, Marvel basically gave up on the property.

We like the NO one because we know the city and are constantly saying "Ok there's...." or "they are just in front of XXX on XXXX street"....

I like the show but 3 episodes is usually my limit at a time - on the fourth I start seeing discrepancies in the plot.... I start saying things like "wait - you have 4 bad guys with assault rifles trying to escape from one good guy with a revolver....seriously - why not just shoot him?".

Still, I can't imagine that would be worse than watching B and S fighting....

Never fear - just received the latest Hunger Games and "The Intern" so I'm set for entertainment.

                    Kay; I'm starting to get the Rules of TV;

Women often inspect crime scenes in their underwear.

Any woman, even at 98 pounds, can beat any man, even a trained bodybuilder with a knife.

If you hit someone in the head, they are unconscious for the precise amount of time you need them to be.

After being knocked unconscious, there are never any lasting effects.

All teenagers are smarter than every adult on TV.

Every gun can shoot 1,000 bullets without reloading.

After 30 days in a mine, every woman still has white teeth and perfect hair.

Everyone...everyone knows how to throw a knife with unerring accuracy.

Every shootout, even if the sides are only 20 feet apart, results in amazingly few accurate shots.

Everyone shot in the chest, that lives, is perfectly OK 5 hours later.

Everyone that finds a million dollars in cash, gives it to charity. All good people refuse to get wealthy. All rich people are evil.

The smartest person is usually evil. Wealth and intelligence = Evil. And they always learn, in the end, that poor means good.

Every alien with superior intelligence, soon learns that human emotion is what they have always wanted for themselves.

Every person in an adventure; knows how to fly a plane or helicopter, and instantly gets any combination to a treasure right on the first try,,,,

....and everyone in danger (in their underwear, of course) is only allowed to escape certain death by less than 2 seconds.

Every bad person must explain their entire plan to the hero, as the hero is in an impossible trap that they will easily escape from.

And....the most certain law of physics known....every bomb that is being diffused..can only be diffused in the last 4 seconds, before it explodes.

RT shows that 74% of the audience liked the film. These are comic fans, probably passionate ones. The critics are not fans.

My guess is that the visuals are spectacular, and the story , continuity, editing, character development are weak

                            But I'll watch it Sunday.

In other words, lipstick on a pig.

Or perhaps mutton dressed up as lamb.

So that blind people can hate them as well.

He would throw a nice, hot cup of British tea in Superman's face (with milk and sugar) and it would be all over.

And then he'd help clean up the mess and apologize profusely, while tossing out a few "old chaps" and "I do says".

How many American "superheroes" could withstand a barrage of crumpets? Also, imagine how much damage CapBrit could inflict with his spotted dick?

American Superheroes are too smart to care. They'd just leave CB to die from whatever disease that is (sounds like something where you pee once and bleed out so they'd give him a few glasses of water and be done with it ).

P.S, Thats why we had to rescue the English language from the Brits . With names like that for edible baked goods it became obvious the language needed new representation. They had a good run though..

Then a stale pork pie hit him in the eye and Superman bit the dust.

Well, I went to see it today.

Visually stunning. And a compelling story.

Why they are fighting makes perfect sense.
Why Batman can fight Superman on equal terms is perfectly explained.

I do understand why film critics don't like it. If you don't know the characters in the Justice League, and the villain Doomsday, parts of the movie don't make sense. And there are references to characters outside the movie, that are hard to follow if you aren't a DC comics fan already. This movie was plainly made for the comic fan. No concessions were made to make this movie more fun for a general audience. It's a comic fan movie.

Ben Affleck is the best Batman I've seen.... As Bruce Wayne as well. Scariest, most brutal Batman yet. And you buy every second of it. Alfred is perfectly cast, as is Wonder Woman.

I just didn't think Lex Luthor was cast well. Jesse Eisenberg gave it an admirable shot. But he acted more like The Joker than Luthor. Just bad casting.

                                              My only two factors that I wasn't excited about;

It's almost always night in the movie. I get it. Batman goes out during the night. But it was always night. Maybe the movie wouldn't have worked as well if Batman was seen during the day.

And...the movie has the look of most of the recent Zack Snyder action films...
Magnificent, awe inspiring....but very little humor. The Marvel films were just more fun to watch. This movie took the characters very seriously.

To comic book fans who like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman....you really get your money's worth. But if you aren't fans of the characters, I can see how it would be a slog to watch.

The Director's cut is coming out with 30 minutes added. I'm looking forward to it.

If you loved Watchmen, Man of Steel, 300, or read The Dark Knight Returns...you're going to love this movie. If you didn't...you won't.

Added later; If you have read The Dark Knight Returns (about Batman coming out of retirement and eventually having a battle with Superman), You'll notice that several scenes almost come right out of the comic. Even the dialog is the same....the best dialog.

By far, the best Batman fight scenes ever filmed. If Ben Affleck follows through on his solo Batman movie, it should be incredible. He really owns the role. And Gal Gadot was perfectly cast as Wonder Woman. In the movie, you believe everything she can do, and this Wonder Woman is as powerful as Superman.

not until I find out how violent it may be.

I guess, you just answered that.

It's going to break his heart, Batman is his favorite.

See what you did Claude? It's all your fault a little kid is going to cry
and think his dad is mean.
It's violent. But there is no blood. You don't see most of the people die. If you saw The Dark Knight, it was about that violent. A great car chase.

If he's a little kid (maybe under ten) he won't enjoy it. But 14-15? Sure.

It isn't a kid movie. Did he see Watchmen, Man of Steel, 300, or The Dark Knight? If he did, this is no more violent. It's just that Batman kills people here, even if none of it is graphic. If he's too young to see these movies I just mentioned, he's too young for this one.

There are several Justice League animated movies that are excellent. They have violence in them, but a six year old should enjoy the action scenes.

Some of the Batman animated movies are a little dark for a little kid.

                                                  SUPERMAN
                                                  Flight

Because Earth exhibits less gravitational pull than that of Krypton, and also due to his solar-powered body, the Man of Steel can also alter his personal mono-directional gravity field to propel himself through the air at will. Originally, he only had the power to jump great distances, as stated by the 1940s Superman cartoons slogan "Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound." This was also shown in the movie Man of Steel. His power of flight has ranged from simply being able to jump great distances using his vast strength, to beginning in late 1941 being able to accelerate, float in midair, and change direction while traveling.

Later he became able to traverse interstellar distances without stopping. Lex Luthor once theorized that Superman had to have originated from a gigantic planet with such enormous gravity (capable of literally crushing a normal Earthman to death in seconds) that his species had developed natural anti-gravity organs just to be able to function under normal conditions; on Earth, this would allow him to control his own gravimetric field in order to fly, due to the lesser gravity of the planet as well as his solar-powered body.

List of characters who can fly though various means, whether with wings, through a mutation, with telekinesis or other psionic power, or technological enhancements.

One thing that troubles me, Superman's size/height (no innuendo intended). On a super sized planet like Krypton he would be the size of a bug. If he had been proportionately the same size of a human on Earth he would be a giant to us.

But the thought I used to have that completely destroyed my idea of Superman was...

In one comic, he is lifting Neutron star matter.

Visually stunning. And a compelling story.

Why they are fighting makes perfect sense.
Why Batman can fight Superman on equal terms is perfectly explained.

I do understand why film critics don't like it If you don't know the characters in the Justice League, and the villain Doomsday, parts of the movie don't make sense. And there are references to characters outside the movie, that are hard to follow if you aren't a DC comics fan already. This movie was plainly made for the comic fan. No concessions were made to make this movie more fun for a general audience. It's a comic fan movie.

Ben Afleck is the best Batman I've seen....

                                                My only two factors that I wasn't excited about;

The Director's cut is a coming out with 30 minutes added. I'm looking forward to it.

If you loved Watchmen, Man of Steel, 300, or read The Dark Knight Returns...you're going to love this movie. If you didn't...you won't.
So you thought it was crap then, just as I suspected.

Thanks for the review, will probably pop along and see it.

Yeah I've seen numbers like that before and ended up liking the movie. I think part of the problem is that people wanted (and probably should have gotten) a classic. Either way Affleck is beginning to care not a whit. The move is nearly at a half a billion dollars in 5 days

no matter what the reviews, this won't go down as another flop against his name and I've yet to see a bad review against his performance in this film. I'll see it and everyone I know is still going to see it. Box office take says a lot of people are responding similarly.

I used to depend a lot on reviews, but not anymore. It really makes us overthink everything.

In the end, most movies are at least *mildly entertaining* no matter how awful they are (most, not all).

So, if this bad movie helps me spend 2 hours mildly entertained (with the fight scenes, eye candy, or whatever) i'm in. Fuk it.

  • Gotta tellya, I do not have a lotta interest in this movie.

Partly, it is cos I do not feel for either character, but also, these concatenatory movies so often disappoint.

Iron Man vs School of Rock etc — always a bad idea imho.

Difficult to say right now whether the reviews are a genuine reflection of the movie or jus' a weird backlash.

Prolly the weird backlash was onea Batman's better moves.

Who is playin' him this time around? Ellen DeGeneres?

They are looking at different things. They are studying the continuity, editing, character development. They aren't watching it for entertainment.

I don;t know how you write a crappy script when you know it has such high expectations and conceptually has been debated (B Vs S) for many years.

Its like Star Wars. they knew if they messed that up it was career suicide so they put in the extra work to make sure it was solid.

    * Yes, Marvel did introduce a Captain Australia. There's also a Captain Canada, Captain Russia, Captain Germany and more. Still, all of them are made redundant in the wake of Captain Wooster.

Official Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
    Review:
    2/5
    The Guardian
    6.8/10
    IGN.com
    9.4/10
    IMDb

    Saw it tonight in Imax.

In my opinion it was masterfully crafted with an All Star Cast. From beginning to end there were 0 boring moments. It gave a great look into the souls/background of both Superman and Batman.
When I first heard that Ben Affleck would be Bruce Wayne I honestly cringed remembering him as Daredevil. He really stepped up his acting and delivered in his role as Batman.

Do not listen to the opinions of neckbeard biased critics and miss out seeing this Movie in Imax. Everyone loved it and even clapped at the end.

Stayed after the credits no extra scene

    I give it a 10/10.

Don't let critics tell you What's good or bad, be the judge yourself.

It's more than that. The ideologies are well known to each other. They are fighting for reasons that are very well shown in the movie. The end of the fight makes sense, if you know the mythology.

The problem is, most movie reviewers aren't comic book fans.

Imagine hearing about a sport for the first time. Now, there is a sporting event where you don't know any of the players, know none of the rules, and have no interest in the sport.

But you are forced to watch a 21/2 hour game...because it's your job.
It's the same with a movie critic having to slog through a 21/2 hour DC Superhero movie directed by Zack Snyder.

Nobody is going to enjoy this movie, unless your a DC superhero fan.

The Marvel Avenger movies are fun for the whole family, and can be enjoyed by a general audience. They are more fun.

This movie treats these characters as though they are real. There is never a wink at the audience. There are no jokes. (Although Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler would be the obvious choice to give them).

There is one edit that can be confusing (it's in the batcave).

I suppose I would give it a 9 out of ten.

I'm not so sure about that. There are fans of that kind of thing everywhere. I think its got more to do with a sense of escapism. It's something fantastic (as in fantasy) that takes people out of the mundane drudgery of their lives, even if that drudgery is only perceived.

In my earlier years I used to read a lot of fantasy novels. I couldn't get enough of mystical worlds full of dragons, wizards, hobbits, elves, dwarves, men of honour and so on. It was pure escapism, nothing more, nothing less. I've grown out of that now and prefer to read non-fiction, particularly about history.

The leap between the two is not that wide. The best fantasy novels are written in the form of a historical telling of events in mythical worlds, actual history is the same type of thing, but set in the real world.

I guess the problem I had with Superman is that it was all "Truth, Justice and the American Way", whatever the hell "The American Way" is. Ask 300 million Americans what that means and you'll probably get 300 million different answers. Plus it kind of alienates non-Americans. It seems to imply that Australians, Canadians, Swedes, Brits, Kiwis, Danes, Norwegians, etc. don't believe in truth and justice.

As for Batman, I preferred the Adam West version of it as a child because of its fantasy element and the larger than life, over the top villains. As an adult I like it because it doesn't take itself seriously, and quite often pokes fun at itself.

Like I said before though, to each their own.

I used to read lots of science fiction, sword and sorcery, and Doc Savage novels.

Weird. Now I almost never read fiction. I have a complete collection of adventure novels in my library. These are reprints of the pulp novels of the 1930s and 1940s. The Phantom, The Spider, Doc Savage, The Avenger...that sort of thing. Hundreds of books. I may never look at them again.

Everything I read now is non-fiction, mostly marketing, selling, brain neurology, psychiatric texts, hard science texts, and biographies.

But I still remember the superheroes. It's mostly nostalgia. i almost never read comics anymore. But the movies are a quick shot of entertainment for me.

If I wasn't an avid reader as a kid, I probably wouldn't be interested in any of the super hero movies.

My poor wife goes with me to see some of the Marvel movies.... But she still has no idea why I enjoy these movies.

            Discuss.

            Or don't.

            Whatever.
Probably. We also didn't have Sherlock Holmes. Heck, add a costume to Holmes, and you have Batman.
To me, all hero stories are the same as super hero stories. The costumes are just different. And stories about the Greek legends, or King Author, are about the same. Just updated, I guess.

The Bourne stories, James Bond, nearly every sword and sorcery fantasy....are like super hero stories. Heck, put capes on the Avatar characters...and you have a super hero story.

I'd be interested in what other comic fans have to say about it.

Added later; Sure, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Zorro, William Tell, Robin Hood, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, Hercules....all these characters have extensive stories, and could be thought of as super heroes.

The leap between the two is not that wide. The best fantasy novels are written in the form of a historical telling of events in mythical worlds, actual history is the same type of thing, but set in the real world.

I was born pink. I became white when all the blood drained to my butt.

Age may not be a skill, but it takes a lifetime to build a respectable old age. It took me decades to get this old.

Fat? Do you know how hard it is to eat enough to feed a starving family of four...all by myself? Not that hard, apparently.

Having thought about it some more, perhaps you're right Claude. Perhaps superheroes in capes is an American thing.

America doesn't have a history of noble kings and knights in shining armour riding forth to save the realm from the forces of evil.

Could Batman, Superman and Captain America be compensating for this lack?

Are superheroes in capes the American equivalent of knights in shining armour?

Superheroes are America's mythology. I once read an excellent essay in the subject, but a cursory search came up blank. This will have to do:

Just saw the movie with the kid (who couldn't see it with her friends so I was drafted as a second choice) and it was great!!

    Questions:

1: Can Superman procreate with humans from Earth. (My kid thinks this is a weird question but I don't)

2: Wasn't Wonder Woman fierce and will Batman and Wonder Woman ever hook up?

1: Can Superman procreate with humans from Earth. (My kid thinks this is a weird question but I don't)

No. The force of insemination would likely kill the woman.

2: Wasn't Wonder Woman fierce and will Batman and Wonder Woman ever hook up?

      She'd break him in half.

3: Has Superman ever eaten anything? I can't remember him eating anything.

Nope. Not gonna get banned for this one.

4: Aren't you glad technology has brought our comic books to life?

      Yes.

5: Who was the best Lex Luther? Kevin Spacy, Gene Hackman or Jesse Eisenberg?

      Gene Hackman is the standard.

      Answered above.

      1) Of course, if the sex doesn't kill the woman, the childbirth would. But yes, in the comics...Superman can father children.

      2) In the comics, depending on the story line, Wonder Woman is either Batman's lover or Superman's. In the Justice League stories, she and Batman flirt, and are an item.

But in some graphic novels, Superman and Wonder Woman are mated.

      3) Yes. He doesn't need to eat, but he does.

      4) Absolutely.

      5) None. Mark Strong should be Lex Luthor. Bryan Cranston would be great. And Dan Riffle would be excellent as Luthor's toady assistant, Igor.

In the film, Superman 2, he bathed in I think, red kryptonite to lose his powers to be able to have an ordinary relationship with Lois Lane. I think that the slightest wrong move in the physical act would tear her apart if he had done it as Superman.

There are all kinds of ways of looking at it...

What if Superman were real? If Superman were real, his density would be so great that he would weight hundreds of tons. Human bone would be like the consistency of ash to him.
It would be impossible to breed with humans. And even artificial insemination, if it worked, would result in the "super baby" killing the mother in childbirth.

What is it like in the comics? In some stories, Superman marries Lois Lane and they have kids. Some with powers, some without. And in the comics, green kryptonite kills Superman, and yellow kryptonite makes him lose his powers permanently

In the movies? In Superman 2, the chamber was flooded with kryptonite (no idea what kind) to permanently rob Superman of his powers.......No idea how he got his powers back.

As much as I enjoy Superman stories, It keeps pounding me in the brain that it's not just nonsense, it's child-like nonsense. Because so many laws of physics have to be ignored for the stories to make sense at all.

The character Superman was created when comics were produced to appeal to 5 year olds.

By the way, did you know that the first ideas for Superman had him as a villain with mental telepathy? It wasn't until the strip was sold that he became a hero, with physical powers.

If you want to buy into some of it though for fun

Superman's density of course is the key, if he was that dense and heavy he would fall through the Earth. (in fact he should attract objects because dense mass exerts gravity) However, he can fly, so twisted logic says that his all encompassing powers allow him the utmost control of his body and how he exerts and presents it's weight and mass. The ultimate weight watcher.

However, if somehow he delivered a seminal deposit inside Lois Lane, it would then be beyond his control and it would just fall through her body, killing her due to its weight and mass. No question that a single Superman sperm would ever fertilize an egg either. It would destroy it.

The moral is, if your from Krypton and you want to start a family with an Earth woman, you have got to lose those super powers.

If you extend it a tad further...
How could he lose his powers? If he lost his powers, he would still be 100,000 times more dense and stronger than anyone on Earth.

And how the heck can he fly? I've never read a real explanation for that. How do any of the super heroes fly?

Banshee uses sound (somehow), Storm uses wind. The Vision loses density. All Marvel characters. But some characters can just ...fly. No idea how it works.

But Superman? How does he propel himself through the air? Through space?

I read a suggestion once that Superman's powers were really a form of tactile kinesis. He controls a strong force field just outside his skin. That would give him super strength, ability to fly, invulnerability (except to heat and something breathed in or ingested.)

Oh well, the four year old in me still enjoys the movies.

Some people do take it seriously. A self proclaimed new age guru has been continuing his sermons here, and here. The surface of these was only scratched in the OT, but has been really let loose over there.

If you have some spare time and really want to see what happens when stupidity is allowed to go unchecked, read the guru's prognostications in this.

You won't know whether to laugh or cry. You'll probably do both at the same time in between bursts of face-palming and head-desking.

I can see why. The movie only attracts the DC Comics fan. Kids really shouldn't see it (too dark, too violent), Critics won't like it, because they aren't fans.

And it's not for the general audience, like Marvel movies are.

      And..it isn't a date movie at all.

So, it will carve out a smaller niche of DC comics fans. My guess is that it will level off to a lower attendance by fans that are going to see it several times.

I'm also guessing that DVD sales will be huge.

But toy sales? Not so much. This isn't a kid's movie.

And....you just posted that to mess with me. Shame on you. Shame...shame.

That number is likely inflated. Most reports indicate its around 800 million to make a profit

Its very unlikely at this point that its not going to make a profit. Most projections have it coming in at a billion. this is the kind of movie people want to say they have seen regardless. The reviews have put the non die hard fans with no reason to rush to see it but many of those still will.

Are you kidding? I loved Deadpool. It deserved that much in sales. In fact, the only Marvel movies I didn't like was Howard The Duck, and parts of the latest Fantastic Four.

The amazing thing is, Marvel took D list characters like Deadpool and The Guardians Of The Galaxy...and made truly remarkable movies. And you didn't have to be a Marvel fan to enjoy them.

With Batman V Superman, you do have to be a DC fan to enjoy the movie. And that's a reasonably small audience.

Hopefully Zack Snyder learns from this movie, when he makes the first Justice League movie. Only Batman is a really dark character, the rest are demi-gods that look best in daylight. And a little humor would help.

Around the time that HTD came out I was on an plane and that was shown as the in-flight movie. I tried to walk out of the theatre in disgust.

Seriously though, it actually was the in-flight movie on a plane I was on. Twenty minutes into the movie and I was hoping that the plane would crash.

If given the choice between watching that again and spending the rest of my life in Guantanamo, I guess I could easily get used to wearing an orange jump suit.

Seriously though, it actually was the in-flight movie on a plane I was on. Twenty minutes into the movie and I was hoping that the plane would crash.

If given the choice between watching that again and spending the rest of my life in Guantanamo, I guess I could easily get used to wearing an orange jump suit.
I actually don't think I have seen it aside from clips. They should have aired Snakes On A Plane followed by some Monty Python.

Doubt it. nothing in that piece but conjecture and outside guesses. The studio has already indicated it was not that high. No reason to deny it I can think of. It s not like they would hide the number from the investors and cough up the difference.

anyway major screw up by the producer. This is the one movie that should not have been dark. Left a whole lot of cash on the table of parents that couldn't take their kids to see it - superman and batman being children favorites and only having one shot at it (at least for the immediate future).

Marvel at least for now is still the better superhero movie makers.

Due to the "overly serious" (?) B v S, the studio is shooting new scenes for Suicide Squad to add jokes and more fun.
