So that blind people can hate them as well.

No doubt the T20 format will see to that. It's like replacing football matches with penalty shoot-outs.

I think the whole purpose of T20 is to try and sell cricket to an American audience as they're never going to set through a test match, or even a one day game. Not sure it'll be successful though.

T20 had nothing to do with trying to sell cricket to America. Whether that's happening now or not I don't know but I'm guessing it's only the money men that would want that to happen.

In 2001 Stuart Robertson was working as the marketing manager of the England and Wales Cricket Board. While international cricket was buoyant, the county game was in steep decline.

Crowds were sparse and it was his job to do something about it. The man who is now Hampshire's commercial director takes up the story.

'I commissioned massive consumer research into what we should do,' said Robertson.

'We spent £200,000, which was considered to be a lot of money for something like this. We tried to identify who was coming to cricket matches but, more importantly, who wasn't and why.

'There was a significant decline in attendances across the board and we had to do something about it. We came up with something that we hoped would appeal to people who were cash-rich but time-poor.'

true dat.. the "prolonged " 50 overs game is really something that showed which player is actuallt worth his salt.. t20s are so dramatic, everyone is always on attack..be it bowling, batting or fielding.. you play 7 good shots and that would cut it.. in test and one day.. no chance.. with a score of 50 it wouldnt even count.. in test that would be a bad performance..

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Let's not confuse things even further with any talk of bowling a maiden over.

T20 is a short (half-day), fast game of cricket. The world cup tournament is on.

The West Indies just beat England in the final.

The idea is rubbish, as is your post, as is your digging up a long dead thread just to expose your sports related signature link.

All round; your self promotional posts are just not cricket old boy.
