Of course, this is Steve Lukather of Toto..... Named by Gibson Guitar Corporation as one of the top 10 session guitarists of all time.

It's been a while since I listened to Toto but nobody can deny their success, and I certainly do still enjoy a few Toto tunes today. Yup, Lukather is definitely a great one.

Speaking of playing with your teeth, I watched John 5 jam a solo with his teeth last night playing here in CR during the Pop Evil, Rob Zombie, and Distubed show. JWL has been on the guitar for Rob Zombie since 2005.

Often times he plays the National Anthem with his teeth...here is a snap I grabbed of him toothing it last night. I believe this was a solo during Thunder Kiss '65 (White Zombie tune).

In the past Lowery was the axeman for Marilyn Manson and David Lee Roth, and has done projects with Meat Loaf, Lynyrd Skynyrd, K.D. Lang, Ozzy, Slash, Garbage and many others. In his spare time he has produced seven solo albums. His major influences on guitar were Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Jimi Hendrix and Randy Rhoads.

Here he is with a great solo in 2012 during Thuder Kiss '65. The audio is not great, but the guitar seems to scream through the mud fairly nicely.

    Solo starts at 4:43
Plays a little with his teeth at 7:49
    Solo ends at 8:50

    Killer stuff...

    Cheers

Taking the term, "starving artist' to its ultimate conclusion. Just how desperate does one need to be for attention?

Same old Frank A.Troll, I see. Got the ol' flamethrower repaired, eh?

I have some starving artist stuff right here.

Roughly 8-10,000 peeps showed up for the show here in C.R. last month...

Zombie has been loved by music fans for years...like 30 of them...another snap of mine from the CR show.

        Upcoming tour dates...

Gotta love it when the crowds are massive...

The video below is Acoustic John 5 with a very beautiful rendition of Noche Acaosador. Many of the good metal guys are brilliant with the soft stuff too. Countless great musicians and music lovers alike are not one trick ponies...

John 5 discusses some of his gear....his liquid lava guitar (Lava Tele) is killer cool at night shows.

        Cheers

Man..... They're going to be in Denver.... and my hometown... Pittsburgh. I would love to go and meet some of the guys from Korn. I saw them in a movie about the "Holy Ghost." It was pretty cool to see them out in the arena lobby among the fans asking if anyone needed prayer before a concert.... some moving stuff...

Oh man, if you have not seen them yet they are a must see. My wife and I have seen them play eleven times over the years and every time they delivered a great show. We will be seeing them again next month, and as always, we are looking forward to a great show.

Below are a couple of my snaps from the cheap seats at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater south of Chicago in 2014.

            Davis on the pipes.

            Gotta love the kids.

      No doubt.....

What I love is the smile on Jeff Porcaro's face as Steve launches into his solo in the first video... :-)

This is one of my Hendrix favorites...... :-)

Noel Redding was one of the most rarely blessed Bass Players ever..... I couldn't imagine the rush of going on stage with Hendrix and sporting massive hair.... :-)

This live version of Africa ROCKS!

That would have been a great concert.

Cool version for sure. Personally, I prefer Africa done with a little more metal.

Almost a million views on this one...not too bad. This guy, Eric Calderone, won a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award in 2014. He took home the Dimebag Darrell Shredder Award and he has done a ton of cool covers of all sorts of stuff. Beethoven is his favorite composer and he jams some pretty cool classical metal as well.

Cool, wish I was a musical impresario so I could give talented kids like these a break.

Checked out the other thread too, I remember some of those tunes, with Roxanne bringing back some fond memories of the punk era, like when Reg Grundy interviewed the Sex Pistols on live UK TV, lol what grave error of judgement that was
