Fattening Fried Butter One of Many Creative Treats at Texas State Fair - Nutrition | Physical - FOXNews.com

Damn Texans. I can practically hear them getting fatter from here.

Gonzales' stand also serves fried Coke, peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwiches and fried cookie dough.
Other offerings for the annual expo include green goblins, twisted yam on a stick, deep fried peaches and cream, fried pecan pie, country fried pork chops, sweet jalapeno corn dog shrimp and fried peanut butter cup macaroons.
I mean come on folks, why not just take that food and rub it on your a$$ because thats where its going to end up anyway

I wonder what that tastes like? Better or worse than sugar-coated butter?

Yep, at the Wisconsin State Fair, last month, chocolate covered bacon was so popular that they ran out of skewers for it!

I prefer the bacon-wrapped bacon myself.

    chocolate covered bacon........
I have to admit I'd be willing to try it.

The fried butter looks like drops of cooked dough. Course, we can't tell what it tastes like from a picture.

      Yuck! I wouldn't try it...

Unless they dipped the chocolate covered bacon in batter, deep fried it, then smotthered it in cheddar cheese.

I watch the food network a lot and sometimes they show those fairs and such - the other 'new' (to me) fried thing is fried snickers bars and other candies. what? why doesn't the chocolate melt?

Yes chocolate bacon is all the rage these daze.

Although I am not a salt and grease person the one thing that is absolutely divine is chocolate covered potato chips. The salt and sweet together is also quite the rage.

It's all 'to die for' (literally)....

What I don't understand is why anybody would want fried butter unless there are peanuts buried deep in the middle of the thing.

It must be a matter of taste.

        Does that come with bacon?

Maybe you could make the stick out of bacon.

They dont deep fry a coke, like coke in a can, they take the syrup from a fountain coke, put a big blob of it in like a powdery battery that solidifies the coke just a bit then drop that in the grease

Believe it or not, I'm actually eating chocolate covered potato chips right now. I get about 1/4 pound of them every couple years and eat it over about a week. It's mostly chocolate, and it's kinda like chocolate covered pretzels.

There was a doughnut shop back in Portland (Voodoo Doughnuts) that had a bacon doughnut. I was always too scared to try it. The Captain Crunch doughnut was pretty awesome though - a bit of a sugar overload, but awesome.

I think i saw a program on one of the food channels about Voodoo Donuts. Don't they make all kinds of freaky donut combinations?

Epic selection for sure. The Butter Fingering is good , as is the No Name. If you're ever up in Portland Oregon, you need to check them out.

    Thanks garyv,

I was going to add that video to my post, but I couldn't find it.

Wonder what they could come up with for deep-fried chocolate, cheese, bacon, candy, butter, coca-cola concoctions.
