Just stunning. American hadn't won it since 1908.

I thought that the Kenyan and the Algerian guy would out sprint him at end.

In recent workout he did 8X400 meter. 7 of them in 51 seconds. The last one in 49.7

    Yeah, the 1500 was another of the many major highlights for the U.S. team this Olympic season.

    Despite Lockte and the conditions in Rio this was a great games for the U.S. team aided a bit by the Russians fielding a short squad due to doping.

    I watched a ton of track, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, bicycling, and shooting (gun and bow) and also caught the U.S men's BB final.

    Watched several other events here and there as well...and enjoyed almost all of what I was watching.

    It was a great year for U.S. milestones and a phenomenal year for the U.S team in the medal count.



    Just 5 medals short of equaling Russia and China combined!
