OK. It's not what you think.

I'm using Firefox and when I'm going through the new posts here on the forum, I usually right-click on the link for the new post and then select "Open Link In New Tab."

I find it makes it a lot easier to open a new tabbed window so I don't lose my original spot.

I just realized that I can use my middle finger to press down on the scroll wheel button and it does the same thing and saves me an extra click -- it opens the links in a tabbed window.

I know that may not be a huge revelation for a lot of you. However, I thought it was an interesting and time-saving trick.

Maybe saves me a whole 30 seconds of my life each day...

You can also just hold down 'Ctrl' and then click normally and it will open it up in a new tab.

Especially usefull if your using a laptop.

Or you can go to Tools/Options/Tabs and click the option to open new pages in a new tab.
Then you just click the link and it opens in a new tab.

I actually took a while figuring that one out too, well about 2 hours into using my new scroller mouse, back in the year of - woops I can't remember but you'd be surprised at the amount of people that don't know about this!

Oh, never mind. Just read the first line of the OP. Using my middle finger has never done anything to improve my life; it just make things worse. My laptop only has a touch pad.
