Should I go full time?

Hi guys, I'm new on this forum but wow, it's all what I long time needed.

So, are you guys full time or part time in selling online and if full time, when did you decided to stop what you were doing (40h/week job or school) and why, and if part time, why don't you go full time in this?

The reason why I'm asking this is obvious. I'm 24 and I feel that I should go full time trying to earn money in online sales. School is taking too much time and I don't feel like it will bring me my financial freedom like online sales could do if I put efforts.

Thanks!

well it depends: got a good plan?

then by all means, YES, i went full-time: with 21

so yes its possible - if you have a clear idea
about what you're doing, and why its a good idea

I think I have. It's always difficult to know if our plan is good or not or if our vision is clear. As a beginner, I feel like I don't know what I'm doing even if I read a lot about it.

      Thanks for your answer.

If you're just starting out do not go full time.

Only when you're earning close to your ideal minimum income, then take the leap.

People will sell you a dream.. and it's an attractive one.. but it's not for everybody, not everybody is cut out for this...

..Some people need the illusion of security that a career or job can provide.

So start a business and run it in your spare time.. if it's giving you enough return for you to survive comfortably, then go full time.

If you fail at this.. and fall without a safety net, the landing can be hard to recover from.

Well the thing is: With a safety net you give yourself the option to fail

Without safety net, you don't have this option, thats why you try harder

and people that try harder WILL SUCCEED. There is no other option left.

  • If you are just new to internet marketing, I won't advise you go full time. IM can really be challenging but it is safe (always safe) to take things slow and not sacrifice your day time job/school for IM.

You need to really make sure that IM is what you want to do and something that you will do in the future (and for a long time).

Doing IM is not an easy task. Even if it's a promising source of income (which is true), getting success in IM takes a lot of effort and state of mind. You can expect a lot of failures before you can really see some stability with your IM business.

I have been doing IM on a part-time basis as well. And although it is really challenging, I enjoy doing it because (and like I said) you have to have the right attitude and state of mind to be able to stay in this industry and become successful.

    Seriously? You believe that?

The idea that "failure is not an option" is crazy to me. You can "try" your hardest - and fail. Work habits - Experience - knowledge - planning - are hedges against failure....but failure is always an option.

The OP "thinks" he could do online sales if he put his mind to it. He doesn't KNOW if he can do it because so far I don't think he's tried.

I feel that I should go full time trying to earn money
At 24 - aren't you close to finishing school? Why not start "trying" to earn money online - try to sell online - part time now....and see if you can do it or not.

It's always difficult to know if our plan is good or not or if our vision is clear. As a beginner, I feel like I don't know what I'm doing even if I read a lot about it.
Wise to question that. Chances are your "vision" and "plan" are based on optimistic assessments...and if you feel you don't know what you are doing...that may well be the case.

Not sure about the reference to "our plan" and "our vision". Be especially cautious if you are working with others equally new....very easy to encourage each other to dream big and overestimate potential and income....

No I don't believe that, I actually have done it. And I will do it again,
because every time you dont burn the bridges behind you - your mind
is not free to concentrate on the new thing right ahead of you.
You're still busy dealing with the past issues and that really splits
      your attention and your energies.

Thats why most people never move on.

      Yes seriously.

It doesn't work for anybody and it certainly doesn't work for me. I am much more motivated when I am going well than not.

I felt the same when I discovered this place a few years ago.

The rule is if you have to ask then you are not ready yet.

Do your research, don't just read, apply what you learn.

If you find that by using what you know, you see results proceed with caution.

    Step by step.

Once you are sure you have the basics covered, start your business and go full time.

That's the best you can do....

Yes, l have been on another forum with a wild west feel, and a drunk gunslinger, who keeps dropping his gun and verbally assaulting anyone who tells him that he should put it away.

That town is basically lawless anyway, but thankfully this one has a good sheriff, and deputy's.

Adelaide, lol, almost 50% renewable's, and a flimsy power line to Victoria, (my state by the way).

So much for the green vision of 50% renewable's, a train wreck in the making.

True, if l am in a corner, then l try harder.

But some would probably give up, and this lifestyle obviously isn't for them.

As Frank Kern has said, 2% of stuff online actually works, but most doesn't, so if someone trys, fails try's again, maybe changes tracks occasionally, they will find it.

Online success is pretty easy, just never give up, and full time will speed up the process, but it may still take 5 or more years.
