What is the Best Anti Virus Security These Days?

I seem to have some nasty Malware on my laptop that caused it to crash and say no bootable device. I went into bios, clicked save and it came back. I do not know what is happening but I am using windows defender with windows 10.
What are peoples recommendations for AV for 2016?. Need something top quality.

  • I only use free software. I use Malwarebytes for malware, Superantispyware for other cleaning and Avira for my anti virus program. I have used them for years with not a single problem.

  • I have been using Avast for a few years now and everything seems to be perfect so far. It also doesn't take up much memory and that makes my laptop feel "lighter" and not be burden by the background running processes.
