Here's the deal Steve...

I can't read your posts the way you write them. I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

WHAT I'm talking about IS the WAY YOU write using CAPITALS for effect when YOU are STRESSING something.

Here's the deal (same deal )...we can all read, and we can decern a lot more than you are giving us credit for. So knock it off with all the SHOUTING for crying out loud.

I can't get to your message because of the messenger.
</rant>

Thanks in advance

Bill

You probably already guessed most of it, that I was trying to avoid typing capitals, by not typing anything. You DID make one mistake though. THAT flick was DIE HARD! 8-) The one with Bruce Willis or, should I say, ruce illis.

Steve has been posting using his trademark CAPS getting on for
the last 10 years or so as I recall.

Most of us do not have an issue about this ... and have a fairly
relaxed view about netiquette and spelling. SPAM is however a

      I don't know...I think it gives him a personality.

Lord knows, getting one of those things in a forum isn't easy to do.

I mean let's face it...alphabetic and alphanumeric characters typed on a
keyboard, displayed on an 800 x 600 grid (or whatever freakin size your
screen res is set to) doesn't exactly scream.

      Hey I'm #@&$ Cool !!!

I don't have any problem understanding Steve's posts - don't always agree but I know what he's saying.

He's made great strides in eliminating ************* that populated his posts a few years ago. I'd rather read Steve shouting than some of the more arrogant, condescending claptrap I've read on the WF recently. At least I know exactly where he stands on the issue.

Sometimes I DO skip his posts (in the OT section) because it DOES get TIRING mentally (and the OT section is where I go when I'm ALREADY TIRED!)

But it DOES give him a bit of a PERSONALITY, and I DON'T think he should stop it COMPLETELY... but it DOES make him sound a little more ANGRY than he REALLY is at times! I've seen people tell HIM to CALM DOWN more times than I can COUNT!

No offense intended Seasoned, I honestly did just want to try out capitalizing all of the words I would (personally) put emphasis on. It was kind of fun, I think I might try my own thing before I have too many posts to change it. Just deciding on what is the hard part, though. Maybe you could write a WSO.

First of all, I certainly appreciate the support and kinds words, and YEAH, I read the stuff that complained also.

I am certainly NOT calling anyone to war. I don't work that way. You MIGHT get a kick out of something that happened today. I am BORED at my job! They pay me a LOT. well, I only get PART of that, but the part I get IS into 6 figures. It isn't my fault that they wanted to hire HUNDREDS to do what I could do all by myself. Anyway, I am not allowed to do much, and was bored, so I wrote a program to analyze everything and became the person in charge of checking everything.

One system is more behind than I would like, so I investigated. One person said she wasn't going to start yelling. I said "I'm not yelling either. I don't yell. I am just nudging others to yell.". I was smiling when I said it, etc... I am really just trying to nudge people to meet the end of month deadlines. She got a kick out of that, snickered a bit, and said "SMART MAN, SMART MAN!". The company probably pulled in several hundred thousand more in each of the past few months because of my little nudges. Basically, OTHERS are supposed to send a guy info that he loads that my programs take and load into the financial system.

AND, as for my health? One person here said, about 4 years ago, that I should calm down or I would "burst a blood vessel". A couple months later, though I was NOT as he pictured me, I nearly died of a burst blood vessel. Because of the complexity, they couldn't really fix it 100%, so I have had to have a cat scan each of the last 3 years, to see if it gets worse. This year, I got the results yesterday. The prognosis, even though I am lifting FAR more than my 35 pound limit imposed by my doctors, etc....? NO PROGRESSION! That means I have a good chance of living a nice life even with this anyerism.

That is great news, Steve. I am really happy to hear that. AND you are lucky to know about it - most of the time people 'blow a gasket' and croak before anyone realizes they had an anyerism.

Any of us right here and now may have one and it may burst at any second. God forbid. ... but chill.

One more reason for us to try to be nice to each other and appreciate the time we have - you never know when somebody is going to kick it or what they may have on their plate - not good with the wish i 'would've, could've, should've'.

One BIG REASON to stay calm and not let the enemy push your buttons (hello self did you hear I?) -

Anyway - keep on keepin' on.

        Hugs all around.

OOPS, sorry, I tried to remove the "stop words"(SEO terminology). I guess that doesn't make sense.

I doubt she was talking about you. She meant in general.

HEY, I just wrote a post that had plenty of asterisks. Someone committed a cardinal sin, saying credit cards didn't work in clickbank. I BET they can't asnwer the questions I asked. If they can't, then we will never know what REALLY happened.

No, Joe - but after I posted it I did realize it might have sounded like it. I was speaking in general - (no offense intended)

I had a guy a few weeks ago in my forum - an arrogant newbie, no less - who objected to me using red and bold/large - it WAS a notice meant for people to see and it was IMPORTANT.

I agreed to change the color (too much red IS garish), but not the bold or large font.

I was offended by his remark, but I guess so was he. There are so many other things to worry about and I find it kind of humiliating when somebody calls me out.

Plus WHO makes these rules? Why do we have to acknowledge these 'unwritten' "rules"? I know it is the same 'they always say' that I always quote....

I hate the term "they say" - it's usually an excuse to justify something stupid. So I always reply with "who are 'they' - do I know them".

Unwritten rules are different. They have a purpose as they allow people to make up rules as they go along...and are also a good test of common sense. Many fail that test.

Gee, Steve, if you are fated to live with your aneurysm shouldn't you give it a name or something? It's like having an old chum you can't get rid of. Glad it's behaving in a stable fashion.

Well, I say "They say", and sometimes it ISN'T any excuse.

Well, I WOULD like to simply ignore my aneurysm. Once a year, it gets the spotlight. It DID keep me away from posting here a week, so I broke the habit. Lately, I am just bored, so I am back.

Right - let's see if i get this - unwritten rules have a purpose - "they" make up rules as "they" go along - and "we" are all forced to go by them - otherwise we don't have common sense????

When people say "they say " then "THEY" are using it as an excuse to justify something stupid?

Actually it is often something I thought important enough to remember -
