Nikola Pekovic, currently of the Timberwolves, now avg. over 77,000 bux per minute of court time.

All time: Big O Oscar Robertson.

Hard to find anyone paid more for doing less (maybe an IM guru?) than Nikola.

The Big O was my first favorite player. A highlight of my life was when my ex saw old clips of Oscar shooting and told me that I shoot like him. LOL (I did try to copy his shot when I was a kid)

It's hard for me to pick one favorite, so I'll go for some of my favorites at different points in time.

      Big O
      Kareem/Lew Alcindor
      Pete Maravich
      Walt Frazier
      Dr J
      David Thompson
      George Gervin
      Magic
      Kiki Vandeweghe
      Fat Lever
      David Robinson

I'm biased so there's a few Nuggets on the list, with my all time favorite being David Thompson, who is also Michael Jordan's all time favorite player. Favorite all-time non Nugget is probably Dr J. He may not of been the best player ever, but he was the coolest.

I don't really have a favorite player today and just root for my Nuggets and against Carmelo Anthony.

You have most of the all time greats. Bob Cousy, Bill Russell. Larry Bird (What you hate the Celts?) and I like John Havilcek off the bench, and wouldn't mind having Jerry Lucas and Jerry West on board too.

Having been around so long, my list is probably longer, so many good players. But listening to the Big O on my little transistor radio was a ritual.

Thanks Curt for sharing some memories, and don't forget Pistol Pete didn't have a three point line nor a shot clock...and 44 pts a game??????

Pistol Pete sure was quite the player. An offensive machine. He really was.

I also think a fellow LSU player in his college prime was every bit as good. It was Chris Jackson. I was in awe when he came to Knoxville play my Vols back in 90' and was hurling 3s like Step Curry and making passes like Magic.

We haven't seen a college player as good since him... not even close, imho
