Could this game guarantee online success?

Is there a way to really "guarantee" results online?

I'm not sure if anyone can 100% guarantee anything in life... well other than that you're going to die at some point but that's not what this thread is about

This is about online marketing and with what I am about to share with you in this post you will have a much better chance of getting the results you want. Internet marketing doesn't have to be as hard as it may feel to you right now.

So let's jump in.

Full Disclaimer: I came across this method from a fellow marketer named Kim Roach look her up (no doubt she got it from someone else that is how information is spread right but I wanted to give her full props for passing this wisdom on to me so I can now pass it onto you).

I like the concept because it makes things fun using gamification
Definition: the application of typical elements of game playing (e.g., point scoring, competition with others, rules of play) to other areas of activity
She named it the SCORECARD...

As we have just started 2017 I am sure you got to thinking about your goals and probably laid out loads.

I suggest you have no more than 3 top goals because any more than that and you start to feel overwhelmed. Even better only have 1 main goal that will drastically improve all area's of your life and put 100% of your focus into that.

Once you have your 1 to 3 goals you must break them down into bite-size daily action steps that if done will make sure you succeed at that goal. Then you must track and measure your progress on a daily basis.

This is where most people seem to trip up because it seems like too much work...

But living a life that you are not 100% happy with because you are too lazy to make a little change that will probably only take you 2 minutes that could drastically improve your life seems like too much work to me

Yeah I'm being a bit of a hard ass but it's for your own benefit so take it and be grateful this is a whinge free zone so stop being a little... (Insert insult )

Just remember if you fail to monitor, track and measure your progress how do you know what you are doing is even working or if you are just wasting your time?

So what I'm going to do is teach you a SIMPLE system for tracking your daily progress in you internet business (to be fair this works for any business that is marketed online)

Kim called it "The Daily Scorecard"... I don't find it that catchy but until I have a better one we will just go with that.

It makes you turn your day into a game, a point based game. You get points depending on what activity you complete and some activities are worth more than others. There are only 3 levels known as "tiers" and each tier has it's own points of value, check 'em out below.

Tier-1 activities: 5 Points
Tier-2 activities: 1 Point
Tier-3 activities: 0 Points

The goal is simply to get to 10 points each and every day. That's how you win the game and grow your business at the same time. Easy right? do two tier 1 activities and you are done.

The tier-1 activities are the most important they are the ones that drive revenue in your business and the ones we usually procrastinate on the most because either we think they are "hard" or we are scared to fail at them so we don't do them at all.

What ever reason or BS excuse you tell yourself, here is a list of the tier-1 activities that will give you 5 points every time you accomplish one of them:
  • Writing & sending emails.
  • Creating new products.
  • Setting up Facebook ads.
  • Any sort of Paid Media.
  • Writing sales copy.
  • Doing webinars.
  • Optimizing your sales funnel.
  • Adding an upsell.
  • Hiring a virtual assistant.

Now onto your tier-2 activities. These are the sneaky little (insert rude word here)'s that "look" important but take up valuable time that could be spent on the revenue generating tier-1 activities, take a look at them below

Here are your tier-2:
  • Writing blog posts
  • Podcasting
  • Content Marketing
  • Blogger Outreach
  • Posting on social media
  • Etc...

And your tier-3 activities are as follows:
  • Customer Support
  • Graphic Design
  • Tech Stuff
  • Audio Editing
  • Video Editing
  • Transcription
  • Online Research
  • Blog Management
  • Calendar Management
  • Scheduling Interviews
  • Etc...

Yeah every tier has stuff that needs to be done but if right now you are struggling online I can bet that most of your time is spent in Tier-2 and 3 activities right? Some of you may be focusing on crap that doesn't even fall into any of these tier's

Am I right or am I right?...

If you think I am wrong I don't care for your opinion... Wolves don't listen to the opinions of sheep, yeah I'm calling you a fluffy weakling, whiner that's about to be lead to the slaughter house of shady marketers ready and willing to take your money and you deserve it.

If you are offended by this then good it's aimed at you but on the other hand if you are pumped because you finally see where you have been going wrong and ready to start correcting your ways. Then you my fellow wolf are a badass and I salute you!

You whiner, victim mentality sheep can take a middle finger and go on your merry way

Rant tangent over, back to my bad asses wanting change. The fastest way to grow is to flip the script and spend 80% of your time on the tier 1 activities and just watch as your results transform.

Play this game daily and you will be miles ahead of the cowardly sheep that I royally burnt above

  • Wow, that was some post man!

I think if you just visualize your goals on a daily basis and consistently work towards those goals you will accomplish the same thing.

But this is a really interesting way think about things

      Thanks Zachary,

I can't argue with the power of visualisation but some people like to visualise and do nothing about it. I can think about a pizza until I'm blue in the face but I better get up and do something that will bring that pizza to me.

I still think some form of tracking to make sure you are going in the right direction is very very important.

I can visualise getting in shape but if I don't track that I am doing the right exercises and having the right nutrition I am setting myself up for failure and I see a lot of people doing the same thing online.

    Tough love right?

I agree and think it's important to prioritize tasks. I noticed Tier 1 is mostly marketing oriented which is spot on.

It took me a long time to figure this out.

When I first started I would spend 3 days just trying to pick a domain name lol.

What works for me is making a schedule. Just like work because that is what it is.

For example, 2 hours a day to focus on content creation and marketing. And I work whether I feel like it or not.

It's the daily habits that create success.

When I don't feel like it I ask myself if I am truly happy with where I currently am. Then I get back to work.

    Good post!

Yeah people need to find what works for them.

I am not huge on set in stone schedules it makes me feel like I am back in a 9-5 job so I changed the rules and do things my own way. My to do list only has 3 main things on it to do each day.

      Workout, create, caloric deficit

And within create that is my business tasks and as long as I get my 10 points I have succeeded in that area.

Makes things very stress free for me and I know I am moving continually in the right direction.

Yes, l read some of it, realized that it was over the top, and skimmed the rest.

I pretty much knew that the veterans here, would think gee not another sure fire way to achieve goals.

And l can be a smartarse since l have tried it all, visualizing goals trice a day.

Then trying it with pictures instead of having to read a page twice a day.

    Then using motivational videos.

Watching the Secret, (at least til l realized that the guy parking his BMW at the casino was a scammer, l saw him once, at a coffee shop, with a brawl almost ensuing, but l don't mind a live show).

    And the list goes on.

Laying it all down in segments and trying to achieve each one is a start, but long term, unless you have a magic wand, forget it.

When you set goals with deadlines, it only p***s you off, when it doesn't happen on schedule.

That is one of the big lession's, unless you are prepared to do anything, success will take as long as it takes. There are shortcuts, but initially it is all down to hard work, and analysing your sales when it doesn't go to plan.

Since opportunities are hidden away in stastics. Hard work and time brings that out, but people who trash your dreams, miss that point.

Probably explains why they put your success down to luck. Luck, pfff!

By all means set goals, but don't fuss over visualizing it all, plenty of time for that later on when you are in the ballpark.

    Good luck.
