From all the time I have been on here, that is my observation.

I read about all these people. Writing articles, creating blogs, posting on other people's blogs, making videos, linking to other people's products...

All trying to live out this dream that one day they will make some magic online money that will provide them with some passive monthly income so that they can live the dream on the beach with their beautiful wife!!!

The reality seems to be that a monster % do not even make over $5 a week, yet they spend HOURS, yes literally hours, reading, researching, doing the 'stuff'...

Someone prove me wrong.... please!!

(sorry, i just felt like a rant)

Oh, really? I heard it was more like 73%. :p

Meanna Blog, most people that want to never do. I'm pretty sure everyone gets caught up in it for at least a brief period, some just don't pull themselves out of it. It really is a large-sized pimple when first getting started (IMO).

Only 45% of people believe that statistic.

I'm making a lot more than $5 a week, but it is still from my offline job. It's okay for now because I know that in a few months I'll be a whole lot further with IM. Because it is about learning and applying, and you have to start somewhere...

Yeah, I agree you have to start somewhere, but there's many that start, then 12 months later have got no-where.

Is it because they don't have a plan?... or a real strategy? or maybe they just aren't cut out for this?

Not everyone is cut out for running their own business, online, or offline.

Ya know Meanna Blog - 99% of all entrepreneurs don't make it brick and mortar either.
People want to make money on their own - but some get this idea that you can do so with absolutely not one skill, one drop of business experience, and that you can do it without a LOT of time involved. ANYONE successful online or off will tell you that it took one heck of a lot of study and a lot of time, not to mention a bit of help and advice here and again to make it at all, let alone live the "good life" from it.

But if there is something that you are not going to be truly happy if you aren't doing it - you're sure better off giving it a shot than just turning away.

    I'll say this...

If a person has a good understanding of how income is generated on the net, ( the different models etc. ) ...

...and is willing to take the required strategic actions, they can cheaply, eventually test their way to a decent & steady income.

And it's also true that not everyone is cut out to run any type of business.

Call me cynical, but some people aren't cut out to exist!

Several years I was thinking about people who never seem to get anywhere online. I started looking at friends and co-workers and considering how well they might do in IM. At the time I'd already been doing this stuff a while and made decent money.

Out of all the people I know, I identified only two that I felt had the qualities to get started effectively in an online business. These were people I knew well and there's nothing wrong with any of them.

But some need to be told what to do all the time. They can't buy clothing without getting opinions from others. Some are very bright - and very lazy and would never get to work if they didn't have to punch a clock.

Look at your friends - how many have the self-discipline and drive and all the other little things we use every day to keep ourselves moving ahead?

I bet you won't find many. Thing is - anyone can decide to be in IM. The test comes after that.

I jump in and out of this place several times a day most days - but I wrote almost 10k words today, too. This is where I take a break.

      kay

edit: I should add I don't do twitter or facebook - never did myspace. I'm not social enough for that stuff and have never been interested in it. That could change - we'll see.
