Phew, yes, Paint probably could not handle that, or other basic software.

Gimp or Photoshop could, but it would require a bit of study. Photoshop is like learning a new language, and you can get it for free for a week on the Adobe cloud version.

But in Photoshop jargon, you would probably need to isolate the affected elements, mess about with contrast, etc, and or remove and replace perhaps.

Personally l will just tell your friend to go to Fiverr, plenty of talented graphic artists there who are cheap.

Find somewhere to outsource and get it done, fiverr like tagiscom said. Or try freelancer, anything that will just get it done in a day and send it back to you.

Unless you intend to develop skills in photo editing you would better advised to go to Fiverr as others suggest. You can always get someone to do it right. But if your not happy get them to do as you want. On the other hand both Photoshop and Gimp (free) are the best choices if you intend to get some photo editing skills.

And find a graphic artist on Fiverr who is desperate,....ahem, hasn't got an order yet, and is worried.

They will pretty much do anything for $5, just to get their foot in the door.

1. Open up the photograph with the shiny hot spots that you want to fix.
2. Select the Clone Stamp Tool (S) from the toolbox. In the Options Bar at the top of the screen, choose a large, soft-edged brush and set the Mode to Darken and lower the Opacity to about 50%.
3. On your subject’s face, choose an area of “clean” or non-hot spot skin. This will be the reference point and Photoshop will now only change pixels that are lighter than this.
4. Start to paint over the hot spots with the Clone Stamp tool. The hot spots will fade but it will still look like natural skin. You’ll find that you need to resample several times in order to correctly match the skin tones.If the effect is too much, you can also reduce down the Opacity of the Clone Stamp Tool a little further to about 45 – 40%. Be especially careful on the skin under the eyes.

If you cannot do it youself then seek help on facebook groups. You can look for groups expert in editing, you can ask a little help, and they can do it for free if it is minor editing.

photo editing is right up my alley...

Here's one way to do it:

- marquee / select the bright spot
- feather + duplicate layer
- use Hue/Saturation and colorize to match skin
- use healing brush to add texture from other parts of the face that are similar
- add noise (monochromatic)
- reduce opacity and use curves to contrast the skin tone

I mean, you could also just upload the image you're looking to adjust lol

Photoshop is one of the best out there. You can find many tutorials for almost anything on youtube. There are also many books available.

You can also find older versions of photoshop on ebay for pretty decent prices.

Not sure if you will find cs2 on ebay, but illustrator cs2 is still available for around $30.

cs3 is about $1000 in AU currency, or $800 US, so not cheap, but you can download a 1 month free trial of cs2, although if you try it on windows 10 it will be dysfunctional within a few days, (updates).

All versions past cs3 will be around the 2.5k mark for Adobe suite, but you can try out the cloud version of cs2+ for a week, each.

Hi, I know some basic photoshop. If you don't have a photoshop on your desktop, please donwload it first. And then you can just search on google some photoshop tutorials like "how to remove bright spot in photoshop". I recommend, you can use the patch tool to remove the bright spot.

Gimp is free forever, eventhough it is more clunky, a bit like Openoffice compared with Word, (the first is irritating, but it works and the second more user friendly.

But Openoffice does allow real conversions to PDF, (allows active links, etc) so l always keep it on one computer.

As for Photoshop, cs1 is available, but doesn't work with modern computers, (l tried it); cs2 works with Windows 7 and 10, although updates will reduce cs2 trial version for w10, to a few days.

But cs2 free one month trial versions are still available online, not easy to find, but they are there. Most Google searches go to, Adobe online version of cs2, which only gives you a week, (also tried that) and has annoying restrictions on high usage actions.

But it has an ASCII table, (good to see international fonts) and some 3D thing, (but you need w10 for that).
