What is the most ideal way to schedule projects and establish timelines?

    If you are using wordpress, then just use the 'Publish' setting to backdate or schedule a post. You don't need to use any plugin for that.

    It depends what kind of projects you are scheduling, and how many people are working on the project.

    I have no idea what kind of projects you're working on, but some tools I like to user are -
    - Basecamp
    - Jira
    - TeamWork

    These all allows to create threads or 'todo' lists, set reminders, delivery dates and assign tasks to individual users. I'd say Basecamp is the simplest of the three and has the smallest learning curve, but doesn't have as many features as Jira (more geared towards software dev) or Teamwork.
