niche marketing just helped my mum!

Hey guys,

Recently, my mum went to a pharmacy to get some cough syrup because she was having cold. So, there was this tiny area in the pharmacy where people can check their blood pressure.

So, my mum went and I tried and gosh, the result shows 155! (which is 50 points away from "treatment level")

My mum was really clueless and try to seek help. Went to the doctor, the doctor told some BS about exercise bla bla bla and bla bla bla.

She came back and told me to find some info on the internet (cuz she doesnt know how to surf the net) and dammmit, and that time, my internet was down because of some modem problem.

I was about to drive to the nearest Starbucks or McDonald's to use their WiFi when I realized, "Hey! I have a product about lowering the blood pressure!".

So, I spent 15 minutes finding that eBook and after telling my mum the tips in that eBook -- when she went to the pharmacy and checked again, blood pressure dropped by 50.

This raises an interesting, and only slightly related, question.

Do you have enough confidence in your products to give them to your mum? Are they good enough?

If not, why are you selling them?

High blood pressure isn't something to fool around with, it can kill you or cause many other bad side effects. Reducing your salt intake, exercise, eat more fruits and vegtables, reducing fat, losing wieght and no smoking will help reduce your blood pressure.

I also have high blood pressure, which caused congestive heart failure. My life span has been reduced by 20 years or so.

Kim I think I read in a post that your high BP caused your kidney failure.

Listen to the Doctor, an ebook can contain good information, but first and foremost listen to the doctor. Get your information from trusted sources like the Mayo Clinic, Heart and Stroke, Cleveland clinic etc. This might save you a lot of heart ache and your life. Don't always trust something you found in an ebook, do your research!

    Donna,
The doctors tell me they think my kidney failure was caused by undiagnosed high blood pressure. I think either they don't know what they are talking about or my regular physician for the last 20 years is a quack, because I did all the things we are suppose to do, annual checkups, all the tests, etc etc and they always told me I have low blood pressure, which is better than high blood pressure.
Then all of the sudden I'm in kidney failure caused by undiagnosed high blood pressure.
I currently take 3 different blood pressure medicines a day. They still cant get my blood pressure under control.

Doctors don't know squat.....the only ones worth listening to are the Biochemists. There have been various experiments proving celery is a bone-fide cure for high blood pressure. It's used in Vietnam for that purpose, and the Chinese also widely use it. Down to a chemical called 3-n-butyl which regulates the blood pressure. If I remember rightly, eating about 3 stalks a day was enough to do it, though I don't know whether that's all at once or split throughout the day.

Hang on....just googled it.....here's an interesting experiment using celery juice. Personally I'd prefer eating it than drinking the stuff but YMMV. Get your doctor to monitor you because if the pressure starts getting lower he'll need to adjust your medication to take account. If he starts mumbling about mumbo-jumbo and food can't have any effect remind him that the entire history of medicine demonstrates that every single chronic (won't go away on its own) metabolic (starts within the body and is not the result of outside sources, nor transmittable) disease has turned out to be down to dietary deficiency of some kind.

Scurvy killed millions until they realised Vitamin C was the cure. Pellagra crippled entire countries and the 'experts' were admanant it must be some kind of virus. Turned out to be niacin deficiency - Vit B3. Pernicous Anaemia had a 98% mortality rate which was higher than cancer, until 2 smart doctors told their patients to eat raw liver and they were cured. The medical establishment of the day dismissed it as quakery and many more continued to die because the Doctors were assholes who didn't remember their history. When they bothered to test it and discovered it worked, it was realised the cause was a shortage of Vit B12 and folic acid. Then of course there was rickets, beri-beri etc, all now confined to the history books.

Cancer is also a chronic metabolic disease and the biochemists again have stated the solution - or a significant one (deficiency of B17). This time though, the dismissal is not just stupidity but monetary interests, because every 'discovery' is now patented and it's all about the lucre. The 'establishment' research on B17 (or laetrille) is outright fraud, brought to you by the same guys who proclaimed smoking isn't harmful and may be even beneficial. I'd trust the biochemists any day, as they are working for the interests of science, not protecting the profits of BigPharma.

It complicates things that you are on medication Kim, but it's not insurmountable. Just make sure you are monitored by your Doc and you should be fine. People have even gotten off insulin dependancy (with monitoring) by consuming more raw foods - google for the documentary 'simply raw - diabetes free in 30 days').

Hopefully, you can see the logic at work here. We are what we eat. Occams Razor. Worth a shot, no? If you can't bear the taste of celery, stick it in a high powered blender like the Vitamix and disguise it in a smoothie.

    Good Luck!

Here's a link that may interest you Kim. This guy has/had 'chronic parenchymal kidney disease' and a raw food diet seems to have been beneficial to him.

Phnx, just wanted to tell you I'm behind you on the food and nutrition to heal.
Though my wife was to far gone with cancer when it was found, the differences we saw when she ate different foods was amazing.
Spinach for example gave her the energy to do 'normal' things like shopping and getting together with friends.
When you think about it it's really common sense.
Having been a plant grower for many years I learned along time ago that we aren't any different.
Different plant foods aid and effect different aspects of a plants growth and ability to ward off diseases and pests. Bat Guano 4 weeks before harvest will sweeten the flavor of the fruit and is used heavily by Mango growers.
Even with plant foods it is always better to go natural or organic as that is what plants are.
Humans are also natural and organic so supplying our bodies with the natural organic tools to combat illness and disease will always be a better way to go.

I won't tell you what happened when one of my wife's doctors told me nutrition didn't matter once you have cancer

      Kim understand this.
Though I believe in natural remedies I also believe a person should do what they feel is right for them.
I really know nothing about your condition or what treatments you are using.
In no way, shape, or form, was I trying to tell you what you should do.

We have touched upon natural substances and health issues before and neither then nor now have I ever felt you tried to tell me what to do.

          Thanks Kim.
I've always had issues with people trying to force their beliefs on me and doing that to someone else is totally unacceptable to me.
I have the same issue with telling someone what they are doing is wrong and my way is the only right way.
Been around the block to many times to think my way is the only way.

Kim, I know what you mean about BP meds I am on 2 and it is still not under control, but there is more to it than that. I'll know more when I see a Cardiologist. Sometimes I think Doctors make educated guesses because they really don't know the answers.

I am intrigued about the celery and beet juice, but for me those 2 veggies where listed as ones to avoid because of the amount of sodium in them. I'll have to look into it some more.

The best thing we can do is educate ourselves, and hopefully with the help of our doctors find a solution or at least make life more tolerable and confortable.
