Starting an Online Casino

I have an investor who is a friend I met five to six years ago in person. We're both in the United States. We're working together now. We're interested in starting an online casino offshore from Seychelles, Belize, or Panama for example. Who can we consult in terms of an overseas or offshore lawyer or attorney that is reputable in a sense in which we can trust him/her or his/his firm? We possibly have millions to invest in this and we just need to be pointed in the right direction. I have another question as well, are these casinos roguely serving US clients?: ACR, Ignition, Carbon, Juicy Stakes, etc. Thanks for reading and real feedback and input is deeply appreciated.

Get in touch with your local Mafia operative. They know all about this kind of stuff. Of course they may not appreciate you muscling in on their turf.

You're also likely to need a team of lawyers, not just one. After hiring all of them, you may not have anything left to actually put into your "business".

On the other hand, if you truly do have "millions to invest", you're better off investing in a high yielding mutual fund or ETF. That way you pocket the dividends with no hassles. You'll also be left with enough free time to go to a physical casino.

In the meantime, here's some useful information:

If you've ever thought about visiting a cyber casino, here's something you should know: it's illegal to gamble online in the United States.

"You can go to Vegas. You can go to Atlantic City. You can go to a racetrack. You can go to those places and gamble legally. But don't do it online. It's against the law," says Leslie Bryant, head of our Cyber Crime Fraud unit at FBI Headquarters.

    That means:

    ...No placing cyber bets on sporting events or in virtual card games;

...No transferring money electronically for gambling; and

...No wagers in offshore Internet casinos even if you live in the U.S.

What's allowed? Some free online games, fantasy leagues, and Indian gaming sites that aren't strictly defined as Internet gambling.

It's also illegal for businesses to run gambling websites and to solicit online bets. Even companies handling transactions for cyberspace bettors can face federal charges.

Honestly, if you are not willing to move offshore yourself and transfer all of your assets out of the country, I wouldn't bother looking any further into this.

No offense, but if you are asking people in the off topic section of an online forum...you shouldn't be thinking about doing this at all.

We are perhaps the least qualified people in the world to help you.

Relevant enough. Been a member of WF since 2006 and been doing IM since 2003. I'm sure there are experienced people on WF. No?

Also, consulted several attorneys in the US and said it's legal to operate offshore for international clients but can't serve US clients.

Probably shouldn't even be thinking about, "What's for dinner?"

      Thank you.
