Hi,

I need help with my site. It suddenly went down after I have updated my plugins. I tried activating a2 optimize plugin and activated akismet for my site's security then after I reloaded the site I got this white screen and can't access my site's admin area. Please help. Thank you.

De activate your plugins one at a time until you hit upon the problem. Also make sure that WP has enough memory allocated to it. This are the two most common causes for 'the white screen of death.

    You're welcome.

Opted, if she can't access her dashboard, she can't deactivate the plugins.

Christy, try going in through your control panel and delete the a2 optimize plugin and see what happens. I can't imagine akismet is the issue (strangers things, though, I guess...).

Actually any Wordpress plugin can be deactivated from from the MySQL database (active_plugins table) via phpMyAdmin in Cpanel.

...or use FTP (ex: Filezilla) and temporarily rename the Wordpress Plugins folder that contains all the plugins.

        That's the easiest way. :-)

That's what FTP and/or cPanel are for.
