Hello Warriors!

Does anyone else get these bugs in their house:

These things always come around spring and fall for me and they are so freaking hard to keep out of your house. They can squeeze threw the tinniest cracks ever.

They also like to keep warm, so often times I will wake up in bed with these things underneath me cuddled in their shells to keep themselves warm.

My brother is scared to death of them - I hear him scream like a little girl once or twice a day lol.

Any body else have experience with these bugs? how to keep them out of your house?

They can get through the craziest spaces given their size. They actually squish their bodies down so that they can squeeze through stuff.

I am actually quite amazed at how complicated of a bug they are now that I have gotten used to them.

And they really do stink when they get killed - like a smell of carrots and something else lol

I found one in the house yesterday.
They are a common bug around here, but I normally don't get them in the house.
I have a few house plants and tend to get outbreaks of lady bugs which is a good thing.
The bug that usually invades houses here, mostly brick ones is this little guy..

Well, if threatened, they raise their rear, and SPRAY! MANY bugs "stink" when crushed.

I don't remember ever seeing them inside the house. I've seen plenty outside. They never seem too interested in getting inside.

        Aromatic cedar may deter them.

It's a defense mechanism against predators. They release the odor if you disturb or pick them up. Naturally, a lot of odor will be released if you squash them.

Ugh. We have those too, although this year wasn't as bad as last year, for some reason. I "escorted" 5 of them out of my home yesterday, and will have to go on another hunt today. My escort approach is a glass and a piece of cardboard - sort of scoop/herd them into the glass (gently, or they will spray stink) and then let them go outside.

I find them very creepy, even for bugs. They move so strangely, they fly so awkwardly, I don't know - they just creep me out. They also tend to congregate around me (one landed in my hair a couple days ago!) which I despise. At least spiders keep out of sight in some corner - these crawl right over me when I go to bed!

Now I am creeped out again, just thinking about it. Ewwwwwwww!

    Regards, Georgetta
