Suggestions on virtual phone system

Hi all,

So I used to use Ring Central for years, but the stress of dealing with this horrific company, plus the fact that every month the price was going up (they claimed it was taxes, but I know they were just adding more to pocket more) was too much for me, so I finally cancelled from them.

I don't get very many calls on my toll free number, some months I get none, if I get a call, it's one & I try to call them right back because unlike with RC, you get charged for every minute.

I switched over to 800.com about 6 months ago & at first all was fine, until they ALSO jacked up the price from $9.95 to $11.95 claiming it was taxes & ignored me when I asked why the first 2 months didn't have taxes added on.

NOW they jacked up the price by $5+ & they are claiming I went over LOL

I haven't received ANY calls & I checked the numbers they "claim" I made & one of them is a spam number online.

I told them this, but they continue to insist I've gone over last month & even this month & yet I haven't received ONE CALL.

<sigh>

So I'm going to have to move again & dispute these charges.

Can someone recommend another system that's around $10/month & where they don't rip you off.

I do want to be able to get an e-mail when there's a message, have it call forward to my landline & revert back to the VM IVR system if I don't pick up.

Thanks

I have no idea where your site is from, but it's not in the US as it has some weird currency under pricing.

      I want an American company.

Get a free Google Voice account.... even if you live outside of North America.

Steve - You can't get a Google Voice Account outside of the US, & I already have one for another site.

      Plus it's not toll free.

      Thanks

I'm in Australia and I had little difficulty getting one. All you have to do is sign up for a free trial to any of the many companies offering virtual phone numbers with call forwarding. Give google that number to verify your account and you are good to go.

Good luck finding a toll free 800 service if the $15 -$20 per month your former supplier charged is to high price for you mate. Do you really need a toll free number? Why not a regular phone number? Or do you prefer to use an 800 number so callers know before they call that you are going to try to sell them something?

You can't have more than one Google Voice number & I don't want a google voice number, I want to use my existing toll free number & yes, all businesses sell you something, that's called business LOL

And this wasn't just about a phone number, this was about an IVR system as well.

And I already explained why I'm leaving 800.com. You should go back & re-read what I wrote.

I already found something, I'm just asking questions.

    ep2002,

You can get a real phone # on skype, last I checked it was $30 for a year and you can call outside of Skype. You can also use Google Voice which is Free.

One other option to look into is Vitelity.com, you can get a phone # and have it forward to any #.

    Hope this helps!

Again, I am not looking for a local number, I'm looking for a system with an IVR & to be able to port my existing toll free number.

I'll check out the URL you mentioned.

      Thanks
