Through my experience with Schizophrenia I have had many "strange" thoughts/experiences.

However the most terrifying would be "The Giant Scorpion." I was having a paranoid day and in the eventing I had a "delusion" of a giant scorpion on the back of my head. I didn't realize until then however when a Man is literally terrified ...His screams are much more high pitched and scary than that of a woman's or a child's.

I can't remember what happened after that however according to my Dad I was rolling around on the floor.

2c.

P.S.
That said ― it has all contributed to the Person I am today ... So in a sense I'm grateful for it.

Jonathan; I'm truly sorry you went through that.

Although I'm not schizophrenic, I used to have real dread that our home was haunted with demons. It was because of my mom's religious beliefs. Every creaking board in the house was a demon. Every shadow at night was something to avoid. Intellectually, as an adult, I knew these fears were baseless...but you can both know that something isn't true...but feel like it is...at the same time. It took me until I was in my early 50s before I finally rid myself completely of those fears.

I considered it one of my few real personal victories.

Thanks Claude. : ) (It's OK -- those days are over now and I'm living a wonderful, wonderful Life ...)

As I mentioned, I'm grateful for everything that has happened. Because as I once wrote:

"The more you suffer, the deeper grows your character, and the more loving and compassionate you become." (That's been true in my experience.)

I actually have a Webpage idea titled HopeAndAdvice.com (not Online yet) which is basically everything I have learned in the past decade or so. Hopefully it will be helpful for other People with Schizophrenia. : )

      Thanks for understanding.
