The Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has died suddenly at the age of 46, her publicist has confirmed. The Irish musician, originally from Limerick, led the band to international success in the 90s with singles including Linger and Zombie.

    I had not heard any of their songs literally for years, then yesterday in the car I hear one of their hits, first time in a long time. I saw this today. RIP.

    With all due respect to Ms. O'Riordan (RIP), with "Delores" and "Limerick" I think we have a partner for the Man from Nantucket...and I'll let you make up your own limerick rhymes.

      The problem with this is that it will only be funny right now, because she's in the news. And it will only be at its most offensive right now...because the death is fresh.

      Personally, I would have gone for the limerick.
