Launching ICOs and CryptoCurrency

So, over the last month I have been doing my home work on crypto currencies and ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and came up with a idea for new coin, and came up with what make it stand out of the crowd.

Everything sounds great ? well for a minuet there it seemed to be, I put PRs together, put my cards in order and literally 8 hours before official launch. The news were on fire with about the SEC Probing ICOs right and left.

I am honestly still considering launching the coin but not sure if I should hold off longer , launch it anyway, or sell the whole thing ( most likely to someone outside U.S ) where this is not even a concern.

Would love to hear from the warriors, what is your thoughts ?

Warning this is going to sound harsh.

Glad the FTC has stepped in! Could you with stand a federal investigation like Tether is going through? If you can not comply with US regulations don't bother with the US.

Why is your coin so different from the 100's of coins out there already. Is the coin any different from the failures from 2017 ? Several of new one's listed last year are doing poorly and many are gone already.

Should you consider selling it or launching some where else besides the US. Plus how do you plan on Marketing it, making sure it is secure, if it can survive a few years down the line, if better versions is launched by a competitor ?

Unless you have the right people in place you won't go far. Sorry if this comes off negative but unless you want to out right scam people and can sleep at night. Don't waste your time. only a tiny few will are making progress. Sooner or later people will wake up this year and only invest in a strong ICO not every Johnny come lately.

Just like the dot com crash only the strongest survived.

FYI - Shane has a deal on some tulip bulbs if you need any.

    First DWolfe, thank you

I understand how you feel but few things i wanna point out :

1 - SEC investigation : It is very important to point out it is NOT illegal to launch a crypto currency / ICOs. SEC has concerns yet, but they had concerns about Bitcoin when it launched, I bet everyone who worried enough not to buy ended up feel sorry for missing out on buying back then. (I checked SEC note about ICOs, they simply wouldn't recommended).

2 - The SEC investigation series tackled companies that claimed they backed by bank or have back back security exchange security (which is we all know that is very alarming) now I don't know if there other concerns and this is why I am bringing the question up.

3 - What make me different. If you spend sometime on cryptocurrencies, the biggest struggle they have is adoption. Lousy coin or scamming one that never done anything beside selling them, never used that money to market it, or partner with others. That is not the case, I have already worked on partners explaining to them what we trying to achieve and have agreements to accept that coin on their sites after launch.

In the sector i am targeting I have only 1 currency in ICO phase in Australia, so yes it is a race and they have a good team but with existing partners, we are a head of the game.

I haven't mentioned any plan to launched outside U.S. I mentioned if it will be troubling, I would simply sell the project at this point ( to someone who live outside the U.S. as there is no legal trouble on the project prior to launch ) and also it wouldn't be an issue for someone who live in Europe for example to launch it (Actually in Europe Cryptocurrency are rock solid, IPO Companies have been launching them ).

What is quoted above sounds like you should hold off for another month. 1-month seems very short. Almost like the newbies here that launch a website, setup Autoresponder, than look for help.

If you have been studying crypto's longer and only thinking about the new ICO over the last month, learn what the SEC is looking for. Make sure you have the right information and give it a shot. You may win or may lose but at least you won't have any regrets.

    Good Luck.

The US market on EVERYTHING has always been unstable and only serves those who are rich. I am involved in an ICO as we speek, both out of Australia and Canada. Create your coin and FIND a market for it.

Translation: There are idiots, everywhere. Do your best to part them from their hard-earned money. If they're that stupid as to actually purchase that coin you created, you don't even need to feel guilty for scamming them. No one put a gun to their head, so shame on 'em!

This idea of ICOs is great if you add security features such as KYC based ID verifications. This can really cause your ICO a huge success.

You should launch your ICO now but the important thing is you should do a KYC process for your investors so that you may avoid frauds. There are many KYC services providers like Shufti Pro and Socure. Contact them if you need any help

You should try to start your ICO. I think that your idea is very good. The main thing is to add the KYC functions. I hope you will succeed.

Please keep in mind that there isn't a bail bondsman on the planet that accepts Crypto. He'd better hang on to those greenbacks. :-)

In my opinion, with such a good scenario it is possible to launch its ISO
