Do you know just how lucky you are to be born???

If your grandmother had not met your grandfather you would not have been born.

( you can take it back as far as you like )

When the s-cells raced for the egg, there are at least 100 million of them ( one was you ) and you beat them all to the punch!

You're a winner!!

Perhaps if this person in your background had not been at a certain place at a certain time,
( to meet that other person etc. ) you would not have been born.

We're all quite lucky to be here - wherever and whomever we are.

The fact is, that if you were not conceived at the time you were you would not have been born - about 9 months later. ( for most of us )

I remember, meeting my wife and how I almost did not go to that party that night.

My beloved kid would not have been born.

All The Best!!

That what's a conspiracy? The fact that I think too deep about something sometimes or that I was the one that got through?

Uh...I don't think you can have a conspiracy all by yourself - it takes two or more and I am not schitzo *yes you are* I am not, shut up. So I can't be my own conspiracy.

As far as getting through first - not at all a conspiracy......more like football. I just wanted the touchdown more than the others. You have no idea how hard all the others tried to stop me!

Yep, I think about this and have actually posted something similar in the past.

In addition to the millions of "swimmers". Mom also had billions of eggs, and only one combination would make me.

Same for our parents. Same for their parents...and on and on, and the odds keep getting bigger and bigger.

I wanted to post a serious answer to this too - but am afraid that it will be seen as religious, so didn't want to risk being banned for saying something that I think.

Ps. I don't think it's about what is said as long as no one starts name calling or says someone's belief is stupid or something like that.

I think it's the tone that gets the Mods involved more than anything else.

TL-- some of us have received warnings that we will be banned if we cross any banned subject lines. I'm actually surprised that as of the serious replies that this hasn't been deleted as it "could lead to" a discussion of banned topics and I was informed when I received my warning that any topics that could LEAD to banned discussions would disappear - that's why I made a joke for a reply. I am not religious - most people know that. My answer would have been from the view of quantum physics......but it might have conflicted with someone else's so they would have had the control to complain about what I said and if they chose to wield such power - I would have been toasted for it.

I felt real anxiety when I started writing the post because I truly had a view to share but felt the necessity of silence. Maybe I should just stay out of the OT for awhile. It's too frustrating to have to decide if a thought is going to be allowed or whether someone will see it as reason or excuse to attack.

and..do you have any idea how lucky we are 'here' is here?

This is the only planet like this in the solar system. sitting at just the right distance from the sun, just the right track around the sun, the right combination of sun/water/atmosphere, not to mention the massive forces that had to come together with just the right timing, and just a certain type/amount of specific materials to create mother earth.

Well, I almost wrote a topic about BO because I was angry with BB, but figured it could devolve ANYWAY, even though it truly WOULDN'T have touched on any banned subject, etc...

THIS whole TOPIC borders on a taboo subject.

As for LUCKY? NAW! I submitted to that heart operation, but pretty much HOPED I would die. Just my luck! I was one of the perhaps <2% that survive! I mean only about 10% are even supposed to make it to the hospital! And MOST end up like John Ritter! DEAD!

I could say more, but I'll leave it at that.

Speaking of JFK, there's a new documentary on the assassination on the history channel.

JFK: 3 Shots That Changed The World

It centers on live footage and reports of the murder - right after it happened.

    - My kid laughed when I described the magic bullet theory to her.

    - A couple describes what happened and they say a shot came from the grassy knol.

    - Towards the end they bring on a man who said a shot from the grassy came right past his ear as he was a young man.

No wonder the Z-film was not made public until 12 years later, it's clear to me that a shot came from the front and to the right.

He was on a plane to Alaska that night and stayed there for 10 years.
