Online dating is big. We all know that.

But is there money to be made from it? I never really researched to see if
any of these dating places like eHarmony have affiliate programs.

Anybody know anything about this niche because I've never bothered to
research it being happily married to the most wonderful lady in the whole
world.

    Yes.

I haven't been really active in it for a while, though.

I did well with an affiliate program on a page I set up once and largely forgot about. It was nice because I forgot about it and didn't do much with it, and checks would occasionally arrive in the mail.

That particular site was bought out by Match.com, and I didn't have as much luck with their affiliate program as the prior site. I think that being bought out by Match.com took away the other site's USP.

I had a dating-oriented site that did very well with Google AdSense, until Google decided they didn't like some of my content.

There was a WSO a week or so ago for the dating niche; I bought it and started to set something up, but then that got sidelined by client projects, so I haven't given that a good try yet.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Oh, wait, I just realized the way you pump out articles...

No. Stay away from the dating niche. There's no money to be made in it. Move along now. Nothing to see here.

Come to think of it I personally know something like ten couples
who met online. Several of them got married - so people are
using the internet as a way to look for companionship in a big
    way.

It's a real substantial niche, obviously. The affiliate commissions
for some of the programs are pretty generous.
