Planning for a quick holiday(about a week) with my family (w/ 1yr old baby)... How about you guys where do you want to travel? especially if you have toddler with you?

I would recommend Darwin, AU, just keep away from the crocks, and spiders and cane-toads and drop-bears and you will be fine.

Cane-toads are fine, just as long as you don't let your toddler eat one, and drop bears are fine, just as long as you don't stand under one.

True the tourist industry hiding that and dragging her through 20+ years of hell did wonders for tourism.

I would find a resort with a highly rated daycare facility. Then I'd contact whatever local board governs daycare facilities in that area for a report on said daycare.

A vacation with a small child is no vacation at all. It's just a different place to change diapers.

My wife and I have a two year old. We take separate vacations so at least one of us is refreshed.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Sure, I get the attraction. You'll get your diaper changed, easy to digest food, and attention from unsuspecting young nurses.

Frankly, I think it's a strange desire to be around other people that are your size...but I'm not here to judge.

I assumed it was part of your pre-nuptial agreement...

Separate beds, separate bathrooms, separate vacations. The only reason your wife married you is so that creep at the office would stop hitting on her.

that is the nice way to describe this thread ..

i don't have children.. if i travel i might pick a few places where i might end up with kids 9 months after the vacation.. or a course of antibiotics few weeks after i return..

True, that l wasn't going to say it but going on a holiday with a 1 year old is a contradiction in terms.

A bit like going to a quiet coffee shop and hoping that things will stay quiet for the duration.

Kurt; I'm not sure you realize this...but Uranus sounds a lot like "Your Anus".

I honestly think that if you gave it a lot of thought, you could turn that into a joke.

Is this a call back to Kurt's hilarious "Your Anus" comparison?

If it is, I think it's pretty clever.

Wait...wait....are you insinuating that my anus is overcrowded? Truth to tell, about once a day, if feels kind of stuffy. It's an age thing.

And yeah, l agree all of this talk about Mars, is sure to drive most of the traffic away from this forum, and cannot hold a candle to a Vulcan after a bender.

We all know that Mars is a barren wasteland, that Jinks-es any camera NASA can send there, and is devoid of life, (l won't mention the green stuff).

No, but I did recently visit Wooster, Ohio.

Fun Fact: Wooster smells equally of failure and a father's disappointment with a faint hint of panic and despair.

I was just talking about you...with someone I like more than you...which could be anybody.

And that smell isn't my father's disappointment. I've washed my only shirt many times since my father died...of disappointment.

And I am convinced that if my father ever met you, I wouldn't be the worst human being he's ever met. His words, not mine.

If your father ever met me, he would finally have a glimmer of pride in you for having such a handsome, intelligent, and accomplished friend.

Then I'd be forced to break his heart by telling him the truth: we aren't actually friends.

The only way you could break my father's heart...is if he found out that he was your real father.
By the way, has anyone ever admitted to being your father? I know it took a DNA test before your mother finally confessed.

Rotten Tomatoes says 23% and the audience say 64.. A few critics say, well it's better than the last one but what was the last one like?. Looks like superhero addicts only, in which case you will watch it regardless, looking for a satisfying conclusion, or more of the same etc.

At the end of the day it will probably be an average, competently done flick. Something you will compare to 95 percenters and realise how much better this can be done.

On a personal level, I always did want to check the Philippines out. Filipinos have been one of my favorites to outsource to and I've been curious about their culture there. And the beaches look lovely, reminds me of being back in the VI. The things I read in the news about their political climate give me pause though, but it's not it's any better here in the US right now

Now, since you have a little kid, that changes things. Don't know where you're from, but I'd go for a place with lots of nature and wildlife. Kids tend to like that stuff unless you've got them hooked to gadgets already. I've got nephews who can't appreciate the great outdoors because they're glued to their tablets. Meh.

i think, Theme Park because Inside the playground available various rides that adjusted visitor age. From infancy to adulthood, there are various options for family vacation destinations. You can take Little on a tram around the theme park location, or try the carousel rides. Ferry rides also you can try to ride with family, to relax together and train the Little is familiar with the altitude. One of the most fun activities in the theme park is always the carnival of various cartoon characters surrounding the playground, which will be liked by children.

It all depends on what kind of vacation you like. Strongly active it to make at you it will not turn out because of the child. You can choose the easiest option and fly to a hotel on the beach. There you can relax and forget about the problems. Just traveling with a child is probably not very convenient.

Yes that's right. I managed to go there and I'm delighted. There are not many tourists like for example in Thailand and surfing there is very popular. I hope you will be able to visit this country.

Is thailand really that bad with the tourism? I know a lot of westerners go there to party but I mean im sure theres untouched land? I've avoided it because of that bad stigma I'm not into the party scene but I'm sure most of the country is beautiful.

i might visit shri lanka next year. would you say its safe enough for a woman to go alone???

If you are travelling with a toddler then I would suggest do not go to any hill stations it may be difficult for you but you can choose seaside or island because you do not have to do much there just sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful view.
