HI Guys I was lucky enough to get in BTC at about $5000 so I have made some profits, but I am looking for the next bitcoin.

I would say with the transaction fees of bitcoin, the next one would have to be Faster, cheap fees, and be in a booming area.

The only one I can come up with is INTERNET OF THINGS< which will be big on the future, and be on the tangle network. so $0 fees and the more people the use it, the faster it gets unlike BITCOIN.

So IOTA, do you guys think that is a good one for the next up and coming BITCOIN.??

your thoughts?

Bitcoin had a bubble. It bursted. You were lucky few who managed to come out it time. Governments across the world was not happy about Bitcoin. Central banks are one reason Bitcoin is not what it used to be.

Central banks existed before BTC existed.

        Good luck with that.

I'm renting out abandoned shipping containers to folks that invested in Bitcoin so they have a roof over their head. incredible growth potential.

I agree Bitcoin (BTC) is VERY important and adoption will grow massively, but I think fiat & crypto still need to work together. (Altho fiat, with inflation, is the biggest scam ever known to man)

I won't recommend a coin but I'll tell you what I look for.
    • Can the coin be mined (coins tend to go up in price as coins get harder to mine)
    • High volume trading (at least $20/30/40/50K in last 24 hours, higher the better)
    • High market cap (at least $1 million, higher the better)
    • Low price (less than $0.01 (USD))

I look for low price to be able to buy more shares. This is about the percentage gain so don't skip based on low price.

These are the only types of coins I'd hold for months/years.

    Use coinmarketcap and sort/filter/research.

Personally, I'd pocket most of the BTC profit and invest in the formula above (research it), maybe the 10 best qualified coins on the formula above at $20 each. So that's only $200 total investment. Sit back and ride it out.

Example, $20 invested on one coin at $0.01 per share is 2,000 shares. A single coin investment reaches $0.10 and you've broke even ($200). The other 9 coins are profit assuming they gain.

My point here is try to minimize risk.

i would use yukons formula .. there are no many ways in this world without developing seruious skills to turn buy something for five thousand and sell it for 8 -10 withing months or weeks .. so you might be waiting a while for the next bitcoin ..

as yukon pointed out many coins with a sub 1 dollar value can have volitle and very profitable price swings ,,just much harder to explain than i bought 1 bitcoin for 5,000 and sold it for much more

Would you care to explain why you think that. Since it is a spin off of Bitcoin ?

To the O.P. just holding on a few coins. That I have had for awhile and sold some bitcoin to buy a few tinyones. No big investments but if I were to lose it tomorrow it would not matter. Of course took a small profit and put it elsewhere.

  • The next bitcoin? Easy to speculate, ridiculously difficult to guess right.
What I do is select promising coins to both mine and trade, following these parameters:

    1. Tech should have viable use case and attainable roadmap goals. Devs should have a verifiable track record of hitting development target schedules.
    * This can often increase the likelihood of the coin getting good support from investor, user, merchant and developer communities.

    2. Mining algo should be ASIC resistant, while mining difficulty should be under 2 to 4B.
    * This can increase the likelihood of my mining operations staying profitable when all of my other parameters here are satisfied.

    3. Currently listed in 2 to 4 exchanges, where average 24-hour trading volume in at least one of those exchanges is 4 to 6 BTC (10 BTC or more would be much better) for the coin across the last 2 to 3 months;
For coins with daily volume of 4 to 6 BTC in at least one exchange, I prefer a price range of 1 to 3 USD per coin, and for coins with 10 BTC or more daily volume, I prefer 0.05 to 0.50 USD per coin; and
Price history should show -4 to 12% average daily price high / low changes for the last 2 weeks or so ...
    * These can increase the likelihood of faster to fill out buy / sell orders, and more chances to buy during lows and sell at highs multiple times each day / 2-day period / 1 -week period and so on, while price threshold averages can increase the likelihood that my day trades stay profitable (or just worth my time and resources).

This tactic continues to allow me to increase what my mining rigs mine in a month.
For example, if one of my mining rigs mines on average 2,000 XXXs in a month, then after all my day trades for that month, I end up with 3,000 XXXs (after 10 or so day trades across that 30-day period), and even up to 4,500 XXXs (for 20 or more day trades for that month).

I would suggest you to check out Digibyte. Its currently the fastest utxo coin and also the longest. It is mined by 5 different algos and has sooo many benefits over everything else and is currently worth $0.02 so its undervalued by a lot. Just search for #digibyte on twitter and join the community on telegram, its an awesome place

Or perhaps it's overvalued by a lot.

BC will grow from the young army seeing a slight spurt of growth, and throwing every cent they have at it assuming that the golden fleece of 21k, or more is attainable, after all experts are bleating on about it, so it must be true?

Or in what we call, a Pump and Dump trade.

It will be a price, inflated, bubble, that won't last long, and without institutionalized investors getting on board, 21k or 1m is joke.

      A sick one at that.

I believe that the price will rise, but l don't expect it to get past 13k, before it drops down to baseline for the rest of eternity.
