Hope this isn't one music thread too many! Inspired by Steven's thread on obscure tunes, I thought it might be fun to start one where they weren't so much obscure as just not played much nowadays. Or ones that evoke memories. So to start, here are two from the 80s:

A lot of great songs here.
Michael M, I thought I was the only person that bought Salt Of My Tears!

And Mexican Radio,love that song too.

I use to hear it now and again and nobody could ever tell me who it was..... it was a great driving at night song.

Wow...another Sparks fan. I have all their albums until they went disco.

They never made it in the states but they were one really unique and quite
underrated band.

Don't hear any of their stuff on the radio anymore...at least not around
here.

  This 1971 rock/funk song is legendary, with arguably one of the best guitar solos in music history, by a relatively unknown guitarist, Eddie Hazel. Jimi Hendrix was already gone by the time this song was completed, and I'm almost positive that Hendrix was a major influence for Hazel, I'll bet Jimi Hendrix would've liked this too, R.I.P. Eddie Hazel, gone, but not forgotten.
