There is also the Snach and Grab concept,...why snach two laptops when one Apple laptop is the same price?

And with the glass entrance walls, you can spot the centres security, nice big tables and the zonked out staff, (fumes) makes this ideal for ....ummm, idiots.

C'mon. You've never been near an Apple Store. It's a well known fact that you have to have at least one major credit card to get through the door.

Those, "big, glass entrance doors," are as close as you'll ever get. :-)

I passed by an Apple Store a few weeks ago, the innovative displays to the left an right of the glass doors were gone. Just a load of tables and because you were looking at it sideways on, you could not see from that angle that there was anything on them. So small and thin.

No more desktops, just all in ones, max size 10 to 15" laptops, Ipads and phones, the place looked empty.

$27k. What's the big deal? What'd they steal, a macbook and an Apple watch?

The ironic thing is Apple Laptops can be tracked, and shut down remotely, so unless they throw this in a lead box or put a lot of foil around it, the police can follow them.

This is called a feature. You're on a Windows machine. You wouldn't know what a feature is. Windoze machines are totally devoid of features.

"Open Find My iPhone, and select your Mac from the Devices menu to view its location on a map. You can use Find My Mac to remotely lock your Mac with a passcode. You can also display a custom message on its screen, like "Don't you wish you had stolen a Windoze laptop, instead? Wave hello to the nice policeman." If your Mac is nearby, you can have it play a sound to help you or someone nearby find it."

This button will be made available in the fullness of time, at the appropriate juncture, when the moon is full, and when Claude's cats sing Highway to Heaven, (at the same time, mind you).

Would l pay another $1,500 for that feature, no, and would have to put up with 250 gig SSD, severe limitation, certainly not.

But l may buy one because it looks nice?

I was there a week ago, ......getting an Apple giftcard for my brother! And eventhough the store was devoid of cards, (l had to ask someone for one) also noticed large tables everywhere.

If l order a Big Mac with fries l certainly know where to sit, (although with all of those toxic fumes about l would have to leave soon enough).

More ignorance. The Mac Book Pro can be ordered with a 4TB SSD, which, by the way, are the fastest SSD's available in any laptop.

You never learn to get the facts, rather than winding-up looking like a total fool.

The other ludicrous comment was that you're paying $1500 for the 'find me' feature. Yeah, right. That's all the extras you are getting for your additional outlay.

      So, sad!!!

The SSD in Apple's Updated MacBook Pro is in a Different League of its own, Blowing Away Dell and all others.

Laptop Mag's Editor in Chief Mark Spoonauer reported on Apple's 13" MacBook Pro that is being classified as the top laptop for overall performance. The report notes that "Apple's laptop scored 18,055 on the multi-core test. That obliterates the 9,930 premium laptop average. The next closest system was the Core i7-powered Dell XPS 13, and that hit 14,180." Spoonauer added that Microsoft's mighty $1,999 Surface Book 2 only mustered a score of 12,221 on this test with its Core i7 CPU and 8GB of RAM.

    ###

All you can do now, is cry about the price, which, in case you have never figured it out, is quite embarrassing. lol

So a Gray elephant is moving the goalposts?

I don't know about you, but l would be nervous walking about with 7k under my arm, (l guess that the armed guard is optional).

I am nervous with $1.5 k under my arm, but since this model doens't exist or is sold in my country, most are unaware of the price tag.

Besides the benchtests are for Quad core's, with 8ram, l have duel core with 16 ram, and 98 to100% of the time it is enough for me.
