In 2040 the future will be... an Adventure Journey

Here's the Sun is Shining in Italy, and while i was walking
in a university campus (better workin there, free and beautiful girls everywhere lol),
watchin the clouds gently movin in the sky...

i was wondering how the future would be like? If a man in 2040 watch the sky as me
what would he see?

Cars flying? Police chasing future robbers with flying vehicle like in Nathan Never?

Whatever will be, people would fall in love in the same way, only maybe you have to go out with girls for a trip above the city, instead of only walking in front of the sea...

...and also Marketing Principles would be the same: as we are now realizing that the same
principles applied in the past still works.

There will be always people looking for solutions, and vendors who wanna collects
list of people interested in their solutions. Match? Good Copy? Then sell.

Of course the old principles have to be applied nowadays: door2door does not work so good anymore, in the online world it's better to apply Lead Generation through the channels of the new enviroment.

Yes, leads rules the world. If you have enough people interested in your product and you can communicate properly with them, you have then a business.

Where to start?

By learning FROM THE PAST: the Marketing gurus when internet wasnt there.
And stick to the basics:

Provide a solution for a problem of a group of people (small group who can pay a lot, or big group who can pay less. or both, like apple).

Lead Generation: collect leads in a legitimate way and start emailing them EVERY DAY with an infotaintement attitude.

Sell.

Rinse and Repeat.

Let's ignore all your internet marketing stuff (this is the Off Topic) and just speculate what would you would find if you were transported to 2040.

If you look back at predictions for 20 or so years later, you see several things. Some things do manifest themselves very well, some things, like predictions for space travel achievements, we are nowhere near. Some things come about but not quite like you envisaged them to be.

The big mistake is to base your projections on current technology, that never works.

Anyone want to make a prediction for 2040?

(And yes we already know about hotter weather and the possibility that Whitacre may no longer be walking the Earth.)

Man, the Mod moved it in the Off Topic sections.

These fantasies predictions were for demonstrate that principles never change, expecially in marketing, where the turnover of technologies is quite fast.

Yup. A similar mistake is basing the future on past or current technological trends.

      In 1960, if you asked what it would be like in the year 2000, you would hear things like;
A pill that gives you an entire meal.
      Travel between stars.
      Vacations on the Moon
      Flying cars (of course)

Technology advancement never follows a straight line. And we never know where it leads, because we don't know..... what we don't know.

      A few things we can count on;

      Human nature being the same.
      The same appeals will work.
People will still gather to form tribes, even if it's online.
There will be the rich and the poor.
Some will be more intelligent than others
Children will go through the same stages, the same problems.
There will always be someone predicting the end of the world...next week.
There will still be people preying on the ignorance of others.
Old people will always think young people are different than they were at the same age.
Drama will be a major part of our lives.
Others will be blamed for our failures. (A huge marketing appeal)
We will always be an "Us VS Them" species. (another great marketing appeal)

        You idiot...

Star Trek space ships are completely plausible. In 20 years we will discover, perfect, engineer, and install warp drive in everything....including cars. Our new speed limits will be 2,000,000 MPH on the highway. Of course, a safe distance (for braking) will be 345,000 miles behind the car in front of you. Easy peasy.

And don't forget that next year, we are going to Mars to start a new colony.....and conquer the colony of martians already there.

If self driving cars would ever be possible, we would have the technology right now....

        What?....We do?....

        Never mind.

he was really talking about some of the things you would see when you ljacked in to the matrix like virtual world we may have ..and for the economic losers of the future .. many will chose to live in virtual worlds ..in the government provided basic stander living house .. where they will log out to to basic things like sleep.. eat .. have sex with their sex robot and log back in .. and occasionally vote for who ever promises them better free stuff ..

there will be no poverty like today(accept maybe in parts of africa ) .. but there will still be a huge chunk of the population poor by the standard 20 years from now ..and a lifestyle only a small percent of the population will be able to enjoy ..and there will most likely be equalized living standards through much of the world with some parts of the world straggling behind ..

if you went back 20 years from now or 22 years from now .. just describing what is going on now . after the economic rise of chine/india , the war on terrorism, the effect of cheap cell phones giving acces to the internet to billions of poor people around the world , and the dramatic drop in cost of computer whith the rapid increase in processing power.. wifi , and social media and youtube ..

you would not get past explain the billion plus people added to the world wide middle class .. from china/india ..without getting completely ignored ..

well do to the right to one likeness human right act of 2029 .. you can;t just have a sex robot who looks like anyone you want .. people have to sign off or be notified if a robot is made that looks like them .. and there will be monitoring of the location of ever human at all times .. to prevent the risk to someone with a robot or robots that look like them .. from getting near anyone who owns a robot that looks like them .. to prevent possible violnt event of jealous rage .. and ther may be restriction on having sex robot even clothed out in public for the same reason ..

in a wierd twist it's not named after a victim but some man who thought his sex robot was cheating on him when he saw the real person he had got it modeled after ..in a romantic moment ..and bad unmentionable things happens ..

so it was named the Whitaker law

But the MAIN PRINCIPLE behind what i have written is not about this.

You all focus on what are the predictions, true or false, but the important concept is that Principles which move the humanity are the same.

It sounds as if you believe that there is any distinction. There are many examples of crazy geniuses throughout history.

Albert Einstein, Shanes hero - Nicolas Tesla, Big Frank. The list goes on. All heavily influenced the world around them and left their mark on history.

Of course, Big Frank is just warming up. The best is yet to come!

Star Trek motion picture, (every flying vehicle had a driver) later movies same thing.

I think that the only time l saw a driverless space craft was the silly solar sail one in Deep Space Nine?

B!!!!!...sffft.....that was a big thing in 1979, especially after l saw Star Wars 7 times, lol.

Star Trek the motion picture, was also the first motion picture to come out on Lazerdisk, (not the silly small ones we have now, the LP sized ones).

to be fair, most people aren't that stupid. But also to be fair, 40% of the people you meet...really are that stupid.

In fact, putting it another way...whoever is reading this.....the odds are 40% that you, as an individual...are that stupid.

And if you are part of that 40%..the odds are 100% that you are that stupid.

odd if you are breathing and are human.. you are that stupid on many subjects ..

common sense is not something you should understand just by knowing.. because except for fear of spiders and snakes .. there is few things we just know .. but something that it takes very little explanation .. or should take very little explanation to understand ...

as those safty sign don't really help in most cases..but they are there for legal reasons.. so you don't sue the cities or counties ..for them not being their ..

the same you now hot coffee is hot when you buy it.. but some people will sue because it is to hot ..

and remember this bag is not a toy ..

maybe by 2040 where we will have every moment recorded and under surveillance.. predictive behavioral algorithms ..will warn people when they are about to do something dome.. and call the cops and the ambulance when they do something dumb that hurts themselves ..

so you don't have to stop everyone from being able to do stuff ..because some people are dumb.. and will sue when they do something dumb and hurt themselves ..which is one of the major thing stalling living standards and driving up costs ..

According to this forum's resident science expert, in 2030 NASA are going to fully disclose information about life on Mars. This revelation is going to cause half of the world to commit suicide.

Exactly why there's going to be mass suicides when this information is released has never been fully explained, however that's what's going to happen. Apparently.

So, half of us aren't going to be around in 2040 so it matters not what life will be like then.

The suicides would be those who follow a strict faith that the Earth is exclusive in the universe, is the only place that has life and it was created and administered by an all knowing, all seeing whatever.

The news that Earth is not exclusive in this respect would be devastating to some because it challenges that, though half the world's population committing harry carry is a laughable estimate, I'm sure there will be some.

No. If we suddenly all knew that there was sentient life on Mars, or if we were visited by aliens, or if superheroes were suddenly real, or if psychic powers were suddenly shown in public....

We would throw a few riots, march in the streets for a week...and then accept it as the new reality.

And all churches, governments, and leaders would almost immediately work this new reality into their platform. Most would claim that they knew about it all along, or say that this new reality supports whatever the hell they were promoting. Churches would claim that alien life proves that God is real. The country would immediately divide into two equally sized tribes..one saying that the aliens were here to save us...the other half proposing a "space wall" to keep them out.

Idiots the world over would say that the discovery of alien life proves..whatever moronic idea they were promoting on Youtube.

Human nature is extremely predictable. Every time something real has been discovered, at first there is a short time to accept reality...as it sinks in.

And then it just becomes part of the fabric of our lives.

Suicides? Maybe a few. But these are the same people that would have committed suicide when they found out that Batman wasn't real. Everyone else will adapt.

How do I know? Because it's what has always happened in the past, when a startling discovery was made.

Heck, in 1925 we discovered that our galaxy wasn't the only one...that there are billions of galaxies. Nobody even cared.

When an isolated tribe is found, and this is the first time they have seen anyone outside of their small group....they don't kill themselves when they see a mirror, or a lighter, or an airplane, or hear a radio......

It's fascinating for a minute...and then it just gets absorbed into their new reality. They think the white man with a camera is a ghost, god, or demon...for about an hour...and then they get over it, and the new guy is just someone they met.....or they eat him.

Oh, and several people will claim that they dreamed about the new aliens the night before...and "psychics" the world over will say that they predicted aliens years ago.

And in 10 years after that, our Resident Science Expert will say that the aliens are a hoax and that NASA hired actors to play them. And the proof will be a Youtube video.

Why are you bringing up superfluous Mumbo Jumbo here. Any sort of life, if found on Mars would be a very big deal to a small but significant faction of faith followers, life, the human race to them was created and administered only on Earth. Finding it elsewhere would destroy their faith and a lifetime of belief.

This thinking about discovering life elsewhere has long been discussed among many faiths, possibly with dread in some cases. It is and will be a big deal, just not anywhere on the scale of what Professor Taggers is suggesting.

Yes, l am disappointed that Whatti didn't mention Lizard people, so will not directly reply to his post, sniff....

But to set the record straight, l said, 2033, and that NASA will orbit Mars, (you can Google search that) and land on one of its moons, and take it from there.

And some will do themselves in, (for the reasons you gave) and some others will trash electronic stores, (don't ask me why) but most will handle it and some will leave this and other forums for an undisclosed period of time, while they process it.

But l am sure that all night benders and hard drugs will be involved.

And l will start hoarding popcorn from the year 2030 onwards, lol.

Tech available in 20 years is probably being started now. I think the area where we'll see big advancements is combining tech, DNA and biology. Not sure if the specific tech below will work out, but other things along the same lines probably will.

blah misclick blew up my post ...

tech is developing faster and faster .. and the pace of development is getting faster .. I can predict many things that are possible in the next 5 years .. but as far ad the scale of adoption .. no f ing clue .. and then a slight glimmer of the advance posible after .. but now where near a fraction of the possibilities ..

but i feel more comfortable predicting both the virtuous uses and the immoral devious uses that are more likely to come about than the vitous .. as much of the development of the web has been driven by porn, piracy and video game .. i will generally pace my bets on technologies that make those three thing more available and much easier .. or higher quality.. will be the tech that get adopted the quickest ..

and why i predict a huge number of people on the losing side of the economic spectrum pretty much spending huge amount of time jacked in to virtual worlds .. is to a point it is already happening with current tech .. so odds are as the tech get better and cheaper .. and it get harder to earn a decent standard of living in the real world .. more and more people will shift into virtual worlds ..

Ok there is a current personal block preventing me from addressing the mass chaos /suicides .. subject in this post as everytime i get into the post i missclick something and delete the post.. so i' will stay out of it

last time i tried that .. the tune up person just gave me a dozen past lives.. but those where not any better than the few hundred i already had ..

I had enough problems in this life to work through and most of them just happened over and over ..so i concluded ..those must be the same things about that happened in past lives.. so no need to dig in the past before the past of this life ..just fix what i can work with now .

With such mind numbing subjects as "BUY MY S**T", "DON'T BUY HIS S**T" and "The latest Apple Laptop with the i9 chip is available, please go to my site and click on the "THEIR S**T IS GOOD" link.
