I am trying an experiment - let have a sharing on Bitcoin and Crypto

Bitcoin and Crypto Currencies is a hot topic today

I will assume some warriors have dabbled, some are still involved like myself and some believe as various famous investors and bankers say its all a scam or btc as it is known for short will go down to zero

maybe we can use this post just to have a sharing of what people see for cryptos future

I for one believe absolutely that just as postage letters were replace by email
and when new tech comes out, which really this is what crypto is about -
the way we will work with currency is enroute to be changed - in a way if you
use paypal - its like using crypto - as do you ever see the money physically you
send to others to buy or sell

I am bringing this subject forward because doing internet marketing with crypto is
a perfect match and eventually I believe to sell your products and services you will
need to accept crypto

so who here is a proponent about crypto and who is not?
what experiences have you had?

why would the US Tax department make a new law about virtual currency
if they didn't take it seriously? or several well known companies already all you
to buy their products with bitcoin.

I see the handwriting is on the wall as it broke huge last year, is now going through
a balancing and birthing process and gettin' ready to break big again by end of the
year or early next year ... already had some great personal adventures with it.
Using my small marketing skills (that is compared to the giants in this forum)
to work with crypto and expand it.

thanks - Joshua "Illinois" Shapiro

Hey Optedin - good to see you here buddy and via our other contact in another post already know that you are not very high about bitcoin or crypto

so if you are up to it why do you see DOOM?? this chat or dialogue I hope will present both sides perspective

on the doom side, many people have felt bitcoins would fail many times since it has come in 2009 as the value of the coin has gone up and down quite a bit over the years yet it is still here and Japan and Australia already has adopted as legal currencies and it is my understanding Microsoft, Subway and Paypal allow people to pay in it - some people say DOOM because they wish it would go away but I see the digital currencies as a way that the wealth of the world can be shared with the common person ...

      any other comments or opinions?

thank you Optedin (or is it OptedIn) - Joshua

I have common-sense, an IQ slightly above room temperature, a very good understanding of human-nature, especially as it relates to the 'greed' factor and 'gold-rush' history along with the mania caused by people drinking the Kool Aid and being blinded to rational thought.

That said, I won't engage you in a back and forth as it's obvious that neither of us will be persuaded by the other's arguments.I used to argue with anyone, over anything, but I conserve my energy for those topics that I actually have a position on, that I believe in. This is not one of those things. lol

on the doom side, many people have felt bitcoins would fail many times since it has come in 2009 as the value of the coin has gone up and down quite a bit over the years yet it is still here
And will be until the day that it's gone, forever.

and Japan and Australia already has adopted as legal currencies and it is my understanding Microsoft, Subway and Paypal allow people to pay in it - some people say DOOM because they wish it would go away but
I couldn't care less if it goes away or becomes the biggest thing to ever hit the world. It won't affect my life one way or the other. I've made mine, no longer 'pursue" money and am quite content to sit on the sidelines with my popcorn in hand.

I see the digital currencies as a way that the wealth of the world can be shared with the common person ...
We have that now. It's called money. Regular, old-fashioned money. I can share my money in a multitude of ways. I don't need any others as I have never been shut-out of doing anything I have ever wanted to do to share my money. Have you???

        any other comments or opinions?
Nah. I'll make you a deal though. If you are right, since I'll be dead soon, I grant you permission to return to this thread and metaphorically piss on my grave. If I'm right, I will let my heirs know that I promised that I would allow you to rent-out my basement so you won't be homeless. :-)

thank you Optedin (or is it OptedIn) - Joshua
That's gentlemanly of you, but either is fine.

        Cheers.

Not quite sure how that's going to work out. If (big word there) cryptos do become commonplace, they'll end up the same as every other asset. A handful will own most of it and the rest of the world will be left to divide the scraps.

As for me, I'm bullish on the concept of blockchain technology, but bearish on all the cryptocurrencies.

I can see blockchain being used for traditional banking, particularly overseas transfers, as well as securing and transferring ownership of stocks and bonds. As far as cryptos replacing traditional currencies and other assets though, yeah, nah. Not going to happen.

In the short term, a few people will make a lot of money (real money, as in dollars, euros, yen, francs, etc.) trading cryptos, however most will do their dough in the same way they do trading forex, options, CFDs, futures, and other derivatives.

Bitcoin will replace fiat currencyin the future in the meantime bitcoin will go up and break the all time high $19,783.06 this will happen sooner than latter. The main stream media will not report bitcoin as it should as MSM is controled by the elites such as the big banks and fianacial institutions and it scares the *hit out of them why? they lose control the times are a changing! You can naysay bitcoin but it does not care what you think its a Paradigm!

Its always been the same story when a trend came that changed the world, there were always many doubters, its those that can see it in the beginnings get wealthy. Microsoft in the 80's, Google in the 90's Facebook in 2000, same story many laughed but those that saw the trend are wealthy. 30 years ago how many people used the internet everyday? Very few! Now everyone uses the internet daily, same with bitcoin not many use it right now to make transactions, not to long in the future everyone will be using bitcoin to make daily transactions will be a normal everyday practice. You will wish you started accumilating it now while its super low at $7k. I am a accumulator of bitcoin!

the tech is here to stay but the actual marketing of bitcoin .. being that it's value is based on the fact the total number of bitcoin are limited .. is mute or worthless not that they are thousands of cryptocurrencies ..

if it in someone risk tollerance profile to invest in it .. good on them.. but if you use the growth of bit coins value to project into the future .. it is misleading ..

for now any one can launch an ico .. like 20 years ago .. and one with a .com websight could get funding and launch and ipo .. so

I will personally wait for a few to develop into real international currencies that don't have real crazy changes in value ..

cheap cellphone /computers ..wifi.. have helpped poor people around the world.. a crypto currency that has stable value that can be traded and banked by the worlds poor with access to these devices .. will help greatly..

but for now crytos are hijacked by the world rich or the trying to get rich quick .. let these people advace the tech.. then it will be ready to role out to the poorest

thanks Odahh for sharing your perspectives

definitely the blockchain (the system to handle coin transactions and security) is going to be a major force in the future and be adopted more --

as far as the swings with the currency - most likely this is happening doing to some manipulation of the rich but eventually I see things balancing out especially with bitcoins where it will be more stable and accepted as the currency of choice which is why now is the best time to start getting some and holding unless you can find a program too that will help you speed up building it --

but all I am saying is that crypto is here to stay - and people need to start experiencing and educating themselves -- it is like when amazon and google first start the expert thought they would die or never go anywhere - and here we are today with these two giants

again very very surprise the great marketers in this forum are not embracing this now - last year was when crypto came to stay and as Bill Gates has publicly said "Bitcoins are unstoppable" -- so is there any warrior members out there who are involved seriously like myself and not just dabbling? - Joshua

          Please stop preaching.

-- it is like when amazon and google first start the expert thought they would die or never go anywhere
No one thought that. Look at their initial rounds of funding.

again very very surprise the great marketers in this forum are not embracing this now
That's because those of us with experience would rather work for our money, than simply gamble on something that we have absolutely no control over. We want to be in charge of our own fate, created through hard work and providing something of value to others that we can take personal pride in, not bet our future on the whims of mass hysteria.

          - last year was when crypto came to stay and as Bill Gates has publicly said "Bitcoins are unstoppable"
Isn't that the guy who declared that $1T company - Apple - dead - in 1984 and told us that the Zune would change our lives, forever? Yeah, I'l following his lead. How much money do you think Bill Gates has invested in Bitcoin? lol

so is there any warrior members out there who are involved seriously like myself and not just dabbling? - Joshua
I don't think the most of the members of this forum have much interest in this. There are a few, to be sure, but Crypto enthusiasts show-up, briefly and then simply fade into the night. When their threads do gain traction, I wouldn't consider most of the content to be of a positive nature.

Like I said, most of us love to work and aren't interested in pie-in-the-sky. Outside of a few newbies thinking they can get rich overnight, most of whom don't have a penny to invest, I'm sorry to say that I think you are going to be woefully disappointed in the interest you garner, here. Especially with your over the top, evangelizing.

Why aren't you on a forum populated by like minded individuals, unless it's because in the end, you want to sell us something? Trust me, no one's buying. Part of selling successfully is knowing your market. I just don't think it's here. I could be wrong. I keep hearing that there's a first time for everything. :-)

          Just my 2¢ - but that's 2¢ of real money. :-)

well there are a huge number of people in this community who see the real opportunity with cryptos.. as selling courses and traning in how to get rich ..or get extremly high returns with no work ..

and the gold bugs with hatred for fiat currency which is designed so that it can't be piled up by the richest.. who hate the idea of not being able to own all the money

here is what i am lost on about crypto.. not the tech..but the people like you and others who are promoting it .. at this point it is not a real currency or not very fungible .. it is an asset class being touted as a currency .. by people who generally hate that fiat currency.. is not an asset class that eventual only a few will have most of ..

there is nothing backing most cryptos at this point .. but hype and faith.. and grandious predictions ..

when cryptos have the fungible quality of a real currency.. and i can use them to buy everything i need to buy with money ..when i can send some to people in other countries and they can easily change it to local currency .. for a lot less than the current money sending costs .. then it will be a real currency and fill the potential it has ..

right now it is an asset class fraudulently proclaiming itself to be a currency ..with much less real value than gold ..

IF you are fine speculating on this asset class that is great for you ..

Dabbled with it up to 10 times, and wasn't crazy about the initial delay, and scary swings, or no predictable advantages with opening trade.

But at best guess, (the only word l will use here) is that BC, will go up at the end of this year and hit its peak, early next, (no higher than $14,000) then it will slowly head downhill till it baselines, and hiccups occasionally for the rest of eternity.

    Or almost DOOM!

Just checking in on the thread Joshua.

BTC may be huge in the future but based on the going rate of acceptance, far beyond any of our life times. Seems to be facing too much resistance as some crypto leaders are mired in FIGHT mode versus service for humanity mode. I'd advise these folks cease going against governments, and start being FOR crypto. Huge difference that'll bring more onboard. Including me.

And you can also 'laud bitcoin' - but it does not care what you think. Sometimes a paradigm is only 'a plan' rather than 'the plan'.

I enjoy interesting articles - whether I agree with their premise or not. Just a couple hours ago I read the article below. Not really pro or con - but an interesting perspective on BitCoin.

Kay - I think you are moderator here - I still am not being allowed to send emails to other members and I have made a number of post now - am I being sided because I am pro-bitcoin? help!!
Hi - you need to have five posts before you can use the pm system - and posts in the off topic section (and a couple other sections) are not counted. The post count are posts from marketing discussion sections.

Sending unsolicited PM's or emails to members here will get you banned so probalby best it didn't work for you right away.

What I object to is that BC proponents seem to argue with anyone who does not fall into line with their beliefs. I think crypto and blockchain technology may well be very important in the future....but I'm not interested in investing in it. My money - my choice.

But I also have seen technologies that seemed like a 'sure thing for the future' totally derailed for one reason or another or (more often) replaced by something totally new and unrelated.

I'm not one who tells you not to invest in BC or crypto or that it's wrong to do so (at least I don't mean to do that)...don't understand why 'pro' and 'con' Bitcoin folks can't just accept what's right for them without feeling the need to convert others to their way of thinking.

ok got it Kay - go into the marketing discussion sections - I have some questions there to for members on affective on-line marketing - thank you

back to bitcoin -- you are correct people shouldn't try to convert another to their point of view - this is a very controversial subject and a technology that could create major changes to our world and most people don't like change. And yes, there are people who have lost money with crypto just like there are people like my wife and I who saw quite a bit last year that really helped us and also bitcoins we can't access due to the company we trusted.

But one thing I have found in life when a person doesn't like change or is open to embrace new tech as it comes up - is they will look for one failure or bad incident to tell themselves see - I was right there is nothing there -- I think what has helped me to embrace bitcoins and crypto is my intuition told me it is the future of our currency and I jumped in - i didn't die, just like many members here have tried all type of crazy strategies with on-line marketing to be successful and failed - some of those quit and will not be an on-line marketer again and say its a baloney (which it isn't if you can find and learn a good system and be consistent) - and then others perserved, got experience, understood fully what they were doing and had success then --- it is the same with crypto and bitcoin - if you sit back and just watch and don't get your feet dirty - you just can't appreciate the earth shaking future this stuff has - and then a year or two from now, when you will work into a store or go on a website that only accepts crypto and you don't have it - you will remember this guy with the Indy hat talking about it

so the key then is simple, those of us in it can share what the heck is happening to us and then just like what happened to me in April 2017 around my 62nd birthday - a light will go on and you'll get the fever

I have a free on-line class I did on bitcoin last year - but I guess I am not allowed to share the link even though its free - i did it for free so I could help others - anyway -- we will known within the next year or so if we need to pay attention - it was the same when I resisted having a cell phone - now its a must have!

That's ok - that's the point. It's not a big picture I want to buy but it's fine with me if others choose to invest...and I hope they do well.

Joshua - You could promote your BC class in a signature - only cosst $5 for permanent sig here...just a thought.

the funny part about crypto people .. or fiat currency haters.. is they will go back and point out the historic failures from the first few times fiat currencies where tried .. and ignore and then proclaim the failure of fiat or at least the US dollar is right around the corner .. i'm sure if you looked back for books written on this ..you will find a few in the 70's ..

now this new tech that is called a currency..but not really used as a currency at the moment ..which may need several decades or more to mature .. is a new religion .. with many touting it's future potential..

yes 30 years ago when there when computers where big slow and local phone calls cost per minute no one was on the internet .. and now where the smart phones are ceep and wifi is easy to get even in developing countries many people use the internet .. and a lot of commerce is done online ..

when blockchain and crypto.. function as real currencies where i can go into any store and buy something ..or go and convert them to a local fiat currency and use that to buy stuff i need .. and do the things i need currency for ..

but right now it's an asset class not a currency.. and those fake US dollars buy the thing i need in the stores i go to.. and it is expensive like gold to turn crypto back into a regular currency to buy stuff ..

    meh ..

the omg ..bet the farm on the future belonging to crypto.. how did that work for the people that invested ing bitconnect at 400$ and now look at the price under a dollar ...maybe some of them are in so much shock they still believe and are waiting for the return of the good days .. in the future

Lots of good points in your post. I never got involved in other cryptos, right now for me is to accumilate as much bitcoin through mining up until 2020 in July when the next blockhalf goes into affect.

see if thats your thing great.. i am not on the train that think bitcoin will drop to nothing and looking at the price history long term .. the price now of bit coin is maybe a little higher than it would have been without the big bubble at the end of last year..

bitcoins "value" is determined now by the cost of mining and that much of bitcoin is in the hands of accumulators and i doubt any of those accumulator will start selling them for far less than the current value .. or selling them even if the price double or triples again .

the problem is the people trying to get rich quick from cryptos .. out of desperation ..thinking the boom of last year may happen again.. but having cryptos increse thousands of percent in days or weeks .. is probably not going happen again ..

but it's a great future technology when cryptos start functioning as actual currencies..or ways to move money around the planet without high fees
