Good grief. At what point do Trekheads finally declare "Enough!".

It goes against one of the major tenets of the entertainment industry - "Always leave them wanting more".

Quantity is never synonymous with quality.

When the quality degrades, you'll be the first I let know.

I'd prefer if you let me know when the quality begins. I won't hold my breath.

can'r really get into politics here .. but one of these series will have a transgender captain with many transgender crew member all using prefered pronouns ..and zero income in equality with the captain making as much money as ..an ensign.. oh weight they didn't have money in starfleet ..

We get it. You don't like Star Trek. Somehow, the Earth still spins.

Only because of the whales as chronicled in the last truly good trek movie - The Voyage Home.

It's not that I don't like Star Trek, Star Wars or even sci-fi. Some of it is very good. Some of it is a pleasant distraction for an hour or two. Most of it is crap though. What I've never understood is the fanaticism of its admirers. Then again, I didn't understand why Disco "music" became so big in the 70s either. I don't understand the appeal of superhero movies either.

I think that Citizen Kane is one of the best movies of all time. A lot of people I know consider it to be completely boring though. Go figure.

That's because, perish the thought, people have different tastes. That theirs don't jibe with yours doesn't lessen them by their choices in entertainment, in any way.

I am by no stretch of the imagination, a 'Trekie.' lol I just enjoy the show.

While you are correct about 'Citizen Kane,' that's not a good example as many people don't understand the movie at any level. Let's go with something simpler. It appears that many people think that Taylor Swift is talented and love her music. This, to my ears and way of thinking, is unfathomable. .

              See how that works?

I can relate to Superhero movies being deadly dull, the Infinity one, l would have walked out of the theater in the first half or hour, 15 minutes.

I know it had groot and the guy with the freaky red cape, (that is probably a knock-off from Disney) and Iron man, and Thor, that will not frickin die, but that wasn't enough to smother the mind-numbly boring one liners and click'e ridden story line.

And fight scenes, yaaawwwn. I wouldn't have lasted without the fast forward button.

Why is Star Trek different l hear you ask, (well, you probably wouldn't but l don't care) the cool war in space scenes, the better world idea, and a sexy Vulcan.

With all of the "baktag" on tv these days it is a welcome distraction.

Well, this has been one of the best threads in ages (IMO).
I am definitely a Star Trek and Superhero fan. Not to the extent that I wear costumes or attend the "events" where people do.

I have been on Netflix for about 9 months now and, as I live in Australia, I love the extra ST shows such as Discovery and the series that is first in time chronological order (but I forget the name now). EDIT... The first series was called Enterprise...how could I have forgotten that?

I love the superhero movies, and the ones that are only available to Netflix viewers. So I say keep them coming!!!
