Crypto Wipeout Deepens to $640 Billion as Ether Leads Declines

From Bloomberg: The cryptocurrency bear market plumbed a fresh 10-month low on Monday as Bitcoin's biggest rival tumbled and U.S. regulators suspended trading in two securities linked to digital assets.

Ether, the second-largest virtual currency, slumped 11 percent from its level at 5 p.m. New York time on Friday, according to Bloomberg composite pricing. Bitcoin declined 2.4 percent, while the market capitalization of digital assets tracked by CoinMarketCap.com shrank to about $197 billion -- down almost $640 billion from its January peak.

If the current trajectory continues, you'll be lucky to be able to afford a condom.

If you believe that decentralized cryptocurrency is the future, now is the time to buy in. As they say, buy the dip, because it's no use buying crypto when it is overbought and the price is high.

It seems that only big events like economic crisis and wars cause the people in affected areas to jump with the hopes of saving the value of their funds. This is unfortunate because I always thought that everyone knows about the dirty game of banks and fiat currency.

There isn't enough tinfoil in the universe to make me believe that.

it will be part of he future but it's probably like virtual reality.. it has been the future for 20 years and barely now becoming viable ..but still probably has a decade to be the big thing..

currency is currency.. people earn money to buy stuff they need and want .. fiat currency is a great thing .. means there is always enough money in the system to keep things going.. if people start stuffing money under the mattress .. just print more ..unti people get that hoarding it is a bad idea .. it purpose is either to nuy things or use to buy other assets ..

the same anti fiat currency people who have been waiting and proclaiming a return to a gold standard.. are nearly the same people promoting crypto.. or at least using the gold bug arguments

maybe i am just stubborn in thinking if you ant to call something a currency .. it should you know be a real currency.. not a high speculation based asset traditionally used for black market transactions

in the future there will be crypto's that perform as currencies..and don't swing drastically swing in value ..

I have to reluctantly admit that Crpto is slightly indicating an upward trend, although the all time chart shows it plummeting.

And not even breaking the EMA line will make me go near that one.

I will stay with Apple today, it will or has announced its new range of iphones, and has already hit and bounced back from its lower resistance since April.

I was working towards a Coles mini condo, in a Bill and Ben resusable, feels and smells weird, free/not free resuble, oversized plastic bag.

And stocking up on strawberry's, lol.

buried somewhere on the back 40, there is a small safe. Only I know the combo. And even if one were to accidentally stumble upon it, it is booby trapped.

Why all the security? It is my off line version of BLOCK chain...I want to block anyone from getting into my securities. I know, someday...

    perhaps sooner than later...

    maybe this year even...

those stocks I hold on to tightly; the Montgomery Wards, Radio Shack, Enron...will bounce back. As the Ironborn would say, "What is dead may never die."

Laugh. They did at the guy who sat down to play the piano.

Giggle if you must. But I want my Cryptonite in a safe place, just in case Superman ever goes to the wrong side...where bankers, insurance cos, and big pharm live.

I think I have some Gordo Bux (from when I was 10 and got my first toy printing press), laying around somewhere...surely worth a fortune today.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can purchase a new Ferrari with my freshly reincarnated, S&H Green Stamps.

      Note to whippersnappers: Google it.
